    Hi Mike,

    please excuse my late reply.

    I’ve been trying around with the CSS you gave me and it works as you say, considering the different screen sizes.
    However, while I was trying around I also found out that I actually like it better graphically when the element is not expanded.
    So I adjusted the size of the sliders on the other portfolio pages instead.

    Now I´m absolutely happy with the CSS from your first message and the CSS for removing the corner radius from your second one.

    Please feel free to close this topic as as completed successfully.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Mike,

    yes, I guess this is what the law firm means (“shady” because they were demanding compensation for a client who arbitrarily reported a large number of website operators).

    I will take a closer look to the plugin – thank you ver much.

    in reply to: prevent automatic play/opening of a YouTube link #1441413

    Hey Mike,
    thank you very much for your quick reply.

    I didn´t use a video element for the youtube linking, it was just an ordinary link marker in a text field in a tab (tab element).
    I had set the page for the link to open in another browser tab, but the video opens in the same window on my page.
    In the meantime I removed the link to avoid being warned by a shady law firm (which has actually happened once before in a similar case).
    The problem is that YouTube data is accessed via servers in the US and that is probably a data protection problem in Germany.
    But an external link should be okay (I don’t know exactly).

    Now I’ve put the link back in so you can check (please see the link below).

    Please excuse the misunderstanding.

    Thanks a lot for another reply in advance.

    in reply to: adjustments to the before/after image #1441280

    Hey Mike,

    thank you very much for the CSS – it works great!

    Please let me know how to enlarge it proportionally so that when viewed on large screens, it extends by 16 px on each side without getting changed on the mobile view.
    I would like the size of the before/after image to behave like the size of the sliders on the other portfolio pages.
    Please see the screenshot and another portfolio page with a slider as example below.

    Also, please let me know how to remove the slight rounding on the corners.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    in reply to: Move the symbol/icon at the tab titles #1440675

    Hey Rikard,

    thank you very much for your quick reply.

    Even though this code is also useful (I just used it to adjust the spacing between icon and tab title),
    what I actually meant was moving the icon up a lil bit (please see screenshot).
    I tried to fix this by adding “margin-bottom: 1px;” but it didn´t work.
    Please let me know how to do.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Mike,

    thanky you very much for your reply.

    I have the impression that there is a small misunderstanding here (if I’m not mistaken):
    I didn’t mean the kind of jump where the entry titles block adapt/move to the end of each content when selecting a porfolio preview – this is a very nice feature that I don’t want to change.
    I meant the little “extra jump” of the entry title block (just a few pixels down and up) right after clicking one of it and right after moving to the end of the content of the sellected portfolio preview.

    But I also accept what Ismael said earlier here:
    This extra jump is not really noticeable.
    Maybe I became a little obsessed with this matter.
    Basically, it’s still fine the way it is now, so I´ll leave it like that.

    Please don´t take it amiss and thank you very much for your patience.

    Hi Mike,

    thank you very much for your reply and for the CSS codes.

    I understand.
    But wouldn’t I then have to specify individual minimum heights for each portfolio entry (in adition to each screen width) because of its different text lengths?
    Is it possible to set different values for each individual portfolio entry (via an ID or something like that)?

    Thanks a lot for another reply in advance.

    Hi Ismael,

    thank you very much for your quick reply and for your patience.

    I just realized that adjusting the minimum height value on different screen sizes wouldn´t be a solution as well because the length of the text and the type of display (slideshow or image list) will vary for each preview and with it the spacing.

    Yes, I still see the jump, it´s noticeable when all elements are visible at once on big screens (like on my end on the desktop).
    I just took two screenshots of the jump, overlaid them and saved them as an animated GIF.
    Please see the link below.

    Thanks a lot in advance for another reply and sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi Ismael,

    thank you very much for your reply and please excuse my late reply.

    I did bring back the scroll option for “slidershow 1” and “slidershow 2” by bringing back the images and the text to see if it still jumps then – and it does.
    Each ajax portfolio preview will later contain images (slideshow or image list) and text.
    I only removed the same to demonstrate the jump.

    So I tried to adjust the minimum height:
    Without images and text a minimum height of 200 pixels (according to the CSS code above) stopes the jump.
    Containing images and text, the minimum height needs to be around 1010 pixels for it to stop jumping.
    But unfortunatley that´s not a solution because this value is way to much for the smartphone view.

    Please let me know if there is another option to stop the jump?

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Ismael,

    thank you very much for figuring out what’s causing this issue – that’s great.
    The CSS code does fix the issue for now (as long as it doesn’t include images and text).

    However, once I reinsert images and text, the issue returns.
    Please let me know how to fix this as well.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Ismael,

    thank you very much for your reply.

    I just removed all the images and text from the ajax portfolio previews so it no longer scrolls back to the top.
    Now it’s easier and clear to see – sorry, I should have consider that before.

    Please take another look.
    I just checked again in several browsers including smarthphones (iPhone, Samsung) and it’s the same in each case.

    In addition I replaced the video with a screen record (iPhone) while tapping the entry titels to show the issue in a better resolution and without the shaking.
    Please see the link below.

    Thanks a lot in advance for another reply.

    Hi Ismael,

    thank you very much for your reply.

    Right, it´s about the “Slidershow” links.
    They move down and up about half a second after clicking each.
    I just tried on chrome and firefox – same issue.
    I also tried to make a video of it – it’s pretty wobbly, but I hope you can still see it.
    Please see below.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hey Yigit,

    thank you for pointing that out, I’ve changed it accordingly.
    In addition, I could then make all the adjustments I wanted to.
    Just great.

    There’s one more thing about the entry titles that I realised just now (maybe you can help me with this as well):
    Every time after clicking an entry title to open a new preview, the entire title block jumps up and down a little bit immediately.
    Do you have an idea what could be causing this and how to prevent it?

    Thanks a lot for another reply in advance.

    Best regards,
    fkm

    Hi Yigit,

    after reversing the order of the first two padding values, it works fine:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {
    #av-sc-portfolio-1 .grid-content {
      padding: 20px 0 0 20px !important;
    }
    }

    Great – thank you very much.

    Could you please also let me know how to move the whole entry title block closer to the text above?
    Please see screenshot.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Yigit,

    exactly like that – works great (again).

    Hi Nikko,

    I was able to make all adjustments as desired (and even better) with this CSS code – thank you so much.

    To make the milestones a bit smaller and thereby get more dashed lines (=more timeline charakter), I changed the values as follows and it worked fine:

    #top .avia-timeline .milestone_icon {
        width: 80%;
        padding-top: 44.45%;
    }

    However, a thin line out of the next milestone can now be seen on the right side of the page on the desktop view (not on other devices).
    Please see page or screenshot.
    Please let me know how to fix this.

    Thank you very much in advance.

    H Nikko,

    no need to apologize – thank you very much for your response.

    I think I couldn’t make my request clear with using sample milestone images of different sizes and ambiguous descriptions.
    That’s why I now only use one example image (in one size) for all milestones and made new screenshots (photomontages) for you to watch:

    The original image now has an resolution of 1280 x 720 px (= aspect ratio 16:9).
    Please see screenshot: milestone-image_1280x720px.jpg
    I´d like to keep this aspect ratio for all devices so that the image can always be seen as a whole:
    On large screens with a width of about 320 pixels and on smartphones (portrait format) over the full width (100%).
    Please see screenshots: timelline-milestones_desktop-view.jpg + milestone-image_mobile-view.jpg

    Please let me know how this can be done.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Guenni007,

    please excuse my late reply and thank you very much for your support.

    I did everything as you described and as before, it didn’t work at first (although I had deleted caches and other browser data several times).
    But now a few days later some update process seems to have happened and now it works just fine – exactly as desired..

    Thank so much, you’ve been a great help to me.

    Sorry.

    Hi Ismael,

    thank you very much for your reply.

    In the meantime I had removed the headline rotator and just reinserted it for demonstration purposes.
    But suddenly it works as it should and I have no idea what I did differently.
    Please excuse.

    As Guenni007 mentioned above in his PS, only non Typewriter headline rotators are influenced in this.
    The fading animation is currently set.
    Unfortunately, the typewriter effect would be way better for the message.
    So please let me know if there´s way to include the typewriter animation as well?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Nikko,

    thank you very much for your reply.

    I was just trying out several options with the aspect-ratio in this css code but unfortunatelly none of them seem to be working on my end.
    I also was probably wrong earlier in this topic when I said it worked – sorry!

    Please let me know if there´s any other way to get a consistent aspect ratio of the milestone icons for all devices?

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi @guenni007,

    please excuse the delay and thank you very much for your support again.

    I just tried to follow your instructions:

    1. I placed the following snippets in the child-themes function.php

    add_filter('avia_load_shortcodes', 'avia_include_shortcode_template', 15, 1);
    function avia_include_shortcode_template($paths)
    {
      $template_url = get_stylesheet_directory();
          array_unshift($paths, $template_url.'/shortcodes/');

      return $paths;
    }
    function load_child_theme_headline_rotator_script() {
       wp_deregister_script( 'avia-module-rotator' );
       wp_enqueue_script( 'avia-child-module-rotator', get_stylesheet_directory_uri().'/shortcodes/headline_rotator.js', array( 'avia-shortcodes' ), false, true );
    }
    add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'load_child_theme_headline_rotator_script', 100 );

    2. I created a new folder named “shortcodes” and uploaded the file “headline_rotator.js” (which you had made available for me to download) into it.

    Now folder and file also shows up at the wordpress backend of my website.
    Unfortunately the headline rotator doesn´t seem to work anymore (it´s just static, no animation) instead of stopping the animation after the first run.
    Please let me know what I might have done wrong.

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards,
    fkm

    Hi Enfold team,

    finally I just added the edited portfolio.php to a new folder named “shortcodes” at the child theme directory with FTP as suggested by Mike above and it works.
    I’m learning (slowly but surely), thank you very much for your support.

    Please feel free to close this topic as successfully completed.

    Hi Nikko,

    that was also my first intention and I tried but it didn´t seem to work.

    With the following css code I could define the pixel size of the milestone images (but not the aspect ratio that I´d like to get).
    Without the following css code the images are shown as small squares.

    .avia-timeline .milestone_icon {
    height: 177px !important;
    width: 320px !important;
    }

    Is there a simple way to define the number of milestones per slide and their size or width with uniform aspect ratio for the different devices (computer, tablets > portrait and landscape format)?

    Thanks a lot for another reply in advance.

    Best regards,
    fkm
