    Hello Ismael,

Thank You for assistance, I do not need more help.

I was used to set the startpage and the blogpage in the settings of wordpress (“dashboard” -> “settngs” -> “read”) like in all the simple themes like “twenty fourteen…”. Now i learned to do it in the enfold settings.

For my simple page I never used the advanced layout editor before. But using it makes it possible to configure the blog page in more detail.

So after theses days of questions I learned to configure my blog page.

Thank you for Your patience, Franz

    I did the following:
    * updated to enfold 4.5.6
    * deactivated all plugins using the plugin “health check”

The error remains “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not found)”, file “entypo-fontello.woff”.

But the error is reported only when using Chrome.
When using Firefox oder Edge no error is reported.

If file “entypo-fontello.woff” is renamed Firefox an Edge still do not report en error so it seems they dont try to load the file.

You can reproduce the error when opening http://fiala.cc in Chrome and pressing Ctrl-I.

The reported error has no influence on the functionality of the site. I noticed the error during the repairs after a malware attack. In one of the repair suggestions was stated to eliminate all errors which are reported by the browser console in order to reduce potential targets for hackers.

I dont have problems with specific posts or pages. I understand how to add widgets to pages and posts.

My problem are the widgets in the blog page which shows the last 10 posts.

My widget area “Sidebar Blog” contains two widgets: Categories and Archive.
And the widgets are shown correctly on each single blog post.
Example of a single Blog page containing the widgets Categories and Archive: http://fiala.cc/2019/02/d-hausherrnsoehnln/

But the blog page itself contains the last ten posts. and is shown as the startpage. Its sidebar is empty at the moment.
It is empty because the “Displayed Everywhere Area” contains an empty Text-Widget.
    http://fiala.cc/
If this test widget is removed the start page shows an not cofigurable combination of the widget Pages, Archive and Categories. And this ist what I want to change. The possibility to enter a widget in the “Displayed Everywhere” Area is not my solution because I only want to be shown on the startpage and nowhere else.

On the Admin-Bar of the start page the text “Frontseite bearbeiten” can be read (on single post pages the text is “Edit Beitrag”). But if I click on it, the the first blog page is edited and not the settings of the blog page.

There is another point, which does not work as expected on the startpage: In the Worpress “Settings” -> “Read” is set: “show 10 blog entries” and “dont show full text”. This setting is not respected by the enfold theme and the full text of the posts is shown.

    Thank You! Works!

But this is only a partial solution for me.
Now my blog page sidebar ist empty because I added an empty text widget.
If text ist filled in this text widget it is also seen on a single blog post or on a page.
How can a widget be added on the blog page only?

    No, it is not working.
If the site http://fiala.cc is opened in Chrome the developer tools (Ctrl-Shift-i) are activated then the error is
entypo-fontello.woff:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
    The address is http://fiala.cc/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/fonts/entypo-fontello.woff
    Thank You, Franz

What do you mean about the thene “Sentence”?
    http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=sentence
The demo shows a different setting of the sidebar compared to the main content!
    Thank You, Franz

in reply to: Media not loading in grid view when using child theme #810216

Hi Ricard, I downloaded the file enfold-child.zip but at this moment these files seem corrupted.
    1. the filenames start with “.-”
    2. when looking at the content of the .php-files these contain binary content.. Readable “Mac OS X” and “com.apple.Text.enconding”
    3. The image .-screenshot.png cannot be displayed (error).
This may be an error after actualization because during my former experiments i also downloaded the files from this address and they were error free.
    Thank You, Franz

    My site is http://fiala.cc/.
The name of the page is “Franz”, formated “brown on white”.
The sidebar is on the right side.
Both, the horizontal bar containing the breadcrumbs and the footer arre formated “white on brown”.
But the sidebar on the right s formated like the main content and i cannot find a setting where this could be changed.
I want it to be like the title bar “white on brown”.

In my opinion there is a main differenve between the main content an all other areas in the winddow including the sidebar, because these areas are containing meta content only giving helb to choose the content. And therefore the styling of these areas should be identical – for my purpose.
    Thank You
    Franz

in reply to: Media not loading in grid view when using child theme #809825

Example: When inserting an image in the editor using “Insert” -> “Add Media” we see the grid view of the media gallery and can choose one of images shown (or alternatively we can upload an image).

When using the enfolf theme this works as expected,
But with the enfold child thene – i named it “enfold fiala” – the hour glass does not stop spinning and the area where the images should be displayed stays empfty.

When unsing the media manager, you can switch between list view and grid view. List view works es expected but grid view shows the same behaviour like “Add Media”.

    Hi Ricard!
    You are right!
I downloaded the newest enfold-version from themeforest, installed it and the theme menu shows now the newest version 4.0.7.
And the images are shown correctly when switching to the theme itself.
But when applying the (empty) childtheme images still dont load in grid view.
    Thank You, Franz

in reply to: Media not loading in grid view when using child theme #809674

The deactivation of all plugins did not help.
The currently installes version when downloading fromt themeforest is 4.0.2
    Filename: themeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme-wordpress-theme

I filled in the username and key fpr automatic updates and wait now for 24 hours and inform you tomorrow if the update helped.
    Thank You, Franz
