Thank you for your reply, I tried the css code you sent. At the beginning it didn’t work, but I added some other IDs and classes and somehow I managed to make it work. I also added the !important property.
Thank you!
Best regards,
FedericoApril 15, 2020 at 5:26 pm in reply to: how to set fullwith imagebackground and all other elements transparent #1204063I’m sorry that I don’t have been able to explain my self clearly, my english has obvious limits :|.
However I’ll try again.
In the site I’m developing I have set a fullwidth image background, okey?
Then I used the ‘enfold general settings’ to set the characteristics of header, main content, footer and socket. Among the properties available from the general settings there is the background color, where you can pick any color, but you cannot set it to TRANSPARENT, right? As I want to see the text all over the page superimposed to the fullwidth image I have set, I need to set the background color of all the ‘containers’ to transparent. If you don’t still understand what I’m looking for (maybe because the solution is so obvious to you that you don’t image that I’m really asking that), imagine that the site I want is just made of a fullwidth image in background and some text over that image, without covering it with a colored box or whatsoever. How you would set enfold to do something like that? As I said before I tried using the custom.css but the enfold architecture is now quite complex and didn’t manage to have the result I’m looking for.
Best regards,
Federicops: the eight digit hex code adds two digits to the normal hex code to set the opacity, 00 is zero opacity = transparent
April 6, 2020 at 2:50 pm in reply to: how to set fullwith imagebackground and all other elements transparent #1201239Hi Rikard,
I’ll try to be more specific and clear. My main issue is that I need to set a transparent background for all the main site elements (header, main content, footer). I already achieved that by setting the background color of each element to #ffffff00 in the general style options, but I have read that is not advisable as not all browser may support this setting. Is there another way to achieve this?I’ll send you access codes to the site in private.
Thanks for the help you may provide.Federico

I followed the instructions you gave me but the problems was still present.
After many trials I solved it by downgrading the php version from 7.1 to 7.0, apparently the choices theme is not compatible with php 7.1.Best regards,
FedericoThe choices theme is inside the folder ‘choices-temp’ because I renamed the folder that way, otherwise the site and the wordpress dashboars were inaccessibile due to the error caused by the theme activation.
I gave you ftp credentials for access, so you can rename the folder again ‘choices’ and the theme will be again visible for activation from the dashboard, then you can perform your tests.
Pleas let me know a soon as possible!

Now is everything ok.

FedericoJuly 8, 2018 at 4:38 pm in reply to: custom CSS not working after Enfold Version 4.2.5 Update #982715Hi Victoria,
I removed the _wborf_ id, which was incorrect. However nothing has changed in the page. The odd thing is that when I go to see the source of the html page and look for the link to the custom.css file and click it, it opens an empty custm.css file, while in my cutomized file is placed in that exact position on the server… . So why does enfold reads anothe file and not my customized one?
Can you help me to solve this issue?July 4, 2018 at 5:07 pm in reply to: custom CSS not working after Enfold Version 4.2.5 Update #981294This reply has been marked as private.June 21, 2018 at 10:35 am in reply to: custom CSS not working after Enfold Version 4.2.5 Update #975736This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private.I tried the code on the enfold functions.php but the content didn’t become visible on the site.
March 7, 2018 at 5:07 pm in reply to: custom CSS not working after Enfold Version 4.1 Update #923138Hi,
I’m having the same problem as kaschn after I updated to version 4.2.5. The file custom.css seems to be not used by the theme, or at least the changes made to it does not have an effect on the site style.Thank you Victoria. Can I place it on the enfold functions.php directly? (as I wrote I couldn’t activate the child theme)
