Thanks. The solution seems to work perfectly when I implement it into the parent theme. Nothing changes when I implement it into the child theme.
But that’s probably because I need to de-register and register it again using the child theme path, but I don’t actually know how to do that.I apologize for being unclear. I meant that I’m having difficulties in finding the correct place in the shortcodes.js file to place the solution.
I can’t seem to find the “avia_masonry” function declaration. Last time the solution was applied roughly on line 1587, but now my file is only 1365 lines.I have installed a child theme now, but I can’t seem to find the correct place in the files to apply the solution.
I haven’t deleted anything myself. But it’s possible that the modifications were overwritten when the theme was updated.
Woah, then I definitely don’t have the latest version of Enfold. On the dashboard it says: “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.8.4)”.
I guess I should update manually then?
Is LayerSlider supposed to be updated automatically when Enfold is updated from the dashboard? I have the latest version of Enfold, but an old version of LayerSlider.

Since I’m not using a child theme, the modification will be overwritten when I update the theme, right? I can of course just re-implement it, but I can’t seem to locate the code snippet in the shortcodes.js file.Ok. I’ve updated my theme to version 4.2, but I would rather not make a child theme now, since that means I would have to reconfigure the theme options, like you said.I’ve tried adding the PHP code above to the functions.php file through the editor, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect on the issue. Do I need to make a child theme and add the code to the functions.php file there, in order for it to work?
I realized that the menu items in question only work correctly if I first scroll down to the masonry items and let them load. If I just reload the site and click directly on either of menu items (without scrolling at all), then it just scrolls down to the bottom. It seems to do this regardless if I implement your solutions or not.
Your first solution seems to remove the animations and your second solution makes the items visible on load, but still runs the animations when I scroll down to them.
Neither of the solutions seem to resolve the issue, but the problem definitely seems to be the masonry items.Sorry about that. I applied the code and when I saw that it didn’t work, I removed it. I have now added it again.
This seems to be a relatively common problem. Your suggested solution seems to work for some but not for others. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work for me.
