Thanks Nikko,
I did as you told me and the issue has been fixed.
Cheers,
Zack
Hello Rikard,
I did the header.php override per your advice and it worked. The footer now shows correctly. Unfortunately, a new bug came up where fonts and some styling differ from the ones in Prod. I’m sending you login details via PM
Thanks,
Zack
Hello,
Thanks for the information.
I compared the footer.php files on the Master template and child on Prod and they are exactly the same which tells me no custom code was added. Prod still running on the 4.7.6.3 version.
It is the same case if I compare the Child footer.php file on stage with Prod. All 3 files are exactly the same. However, the Master footer.php file on stage which now reflects version 5.6.4 has a lot of changes to it because it is obviously a new version. I did replace the entire Child – footer.php file on stage with the Master footer.php on stage so they are both the same. As a result, the footer completely disappeared even though the template settings is calling to display the footer widgets and socket.
In reality, the footer is very simple. It only has 4 columns with one logo on the left and the rest are links spread across the columns. Everything is setup correctly on the footer column widgets. There is no reason for the footer to need additional code.
What should I do?
Thank you Nikko. I was able to perform the update. However, I now have a bug with the footer. I’m not sure if I should open a new thread of list it here. Basically, the footer is set to have 4 columns and to display the socket and the widgets. The issue is that it is displaying information within each column that is not in the widgets. For example, column one has a widget to display the logo of the company but the template is showing a title that says ‘interesting links’ and a paragraph below. This is the case with every column. What should I do?
Hello,
I turned off caching in the server. The previous credentials got deleted after I used a back up of the website. I’m sending you new ones.
Thanks
Hello,
I tried doing the following:
1) I disabled all plugins and deleted the code that was in the footer. It didn’t work. I came up to the same behavior after saving.
2) I activated the main template and that works correctly. I also added the footer content from the child to the main template and that worked correctly.
3) I deleted the child and installed it again hoping to fix the issue but I got the same behavior
4) I tried resetting the child by importing parent theme settings but that didn’t fix the issue. The footer still doesn’t look like it should be, the buttons look wrong, fonts are off, etc. By off, it means they keep referencing back to an old stylesheet.
5) I then reset all theme settings so it can go back to factory settings by selecting every team option tab but I’m still getting the same error. I even went to httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia and deleted every CSS file in it and it does not work.
My questions to you are the following:
1) How can I delete the 108 templates found in the child? It does not work even after trying a factory reset
2) Is there a cache I need to clear? If I go to this folder on the server. https://z3ro.tech/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia This file doesn’t exist. I deleted so it would pick up the updated one but it is still being generated by the template. https://z3ro.tech/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/avia-merged-styles-19233a6c99660f603f8947d50d16d205—63fc91eec4069.css
If I tried deleting old CSS and Javascript files under performance doesn’t seem to be doing anything. You can see the site after doing all I did at https://z3o.tech/.
Thanks for your help,
Hi,
I understand what you mean but I never added any code to it. The moment I change anything, even if I add a word to it. It causes it to break. Even if I change a setting on the template like delete old CSS or JavaScript files will cause it to break. The template keeps trying to compile to an old CSS file so changing something with the template will make buttons, menu, footer and other elements look different. There is obviously a piece of code which has been corrupted. I’m not sure how to go about fixing it so it compiles to the latest CSS.
You can login to stage if you like to do more testing so prod remains working.
Thanks

Hello Rikard,
Thank for your response. I did and as soon as I do the issue I’m reporting comes up. I have a staging site which is equal to prod. You can see how the site now looks like after trying to delete the files under Enfold->Performance.
