    Hi,

I’m back from my vacations for a little while and fixed some other things. Now it’s time to look at this problem again.

It’s a strange problem. The special characters do show up in each post and page except in a special kind of posts. See the screenshot of this.

    screenshot

When I click on a green block, the post will show up, but without the special characters. When i view the post directly, then the characters are shown.

I don’t know if this has something to do with your theme, but any help I can get would be more then welcome!

    Regards,

    Erwin

    Hi,

    I’m getting closer.

Changed .av-masonry { padding: 0px !important; } by giving it a negative margin-right. Only the space between the two columns is a bit to small.

Can anyone tell me how to change the space between the two columns?

    Regards,

    Erwin

    Hi Elliot,

Thanks! That solved the padding on the left.

On the right its sill the same, caused by a padding-left of 50px to entry-content-wrapper.

When I change this, there’s still a bit to much space between the content and sidebar. Also the space between the two columns should be a bit bigger. The featured image is to small, it animates to the right size, can I shut of this animation? See the link below.

Further suggestions would be more then welcome.

    Hi Elliot,

I’ve adde two screenshots. One is how it should be, and the other one from the actual site with two arrows how it should be. The margin between the two columns must stay as you can see in the other image.

    Hi Ismael,

    That did it. Thanks!

Already tried out the ratio in an earlier stage, didn’t thought of it now.

    Hi Yigit,

I’ve tried it, it does change. But it doesn’t give me the total solution.

The content div looks to be to big. And the sidebar to small. The space between them is now correct. How can I adjust the content div and the sidebar? The content of the homepage has an padding-right on the first two columns. And the background is transparent.

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for your answer. But this is not what I mean. In my screenshot I’ve attempted to show that the space between the content and sidebar is to big, and the sidebar is to small. This is in relation to the homepage.

    screenshot

Hope this is obvious, otherwise, I would like to hear it!

    Hi Andy,

That works fine for the sidebar, thanks!
Now I would like that the distance to the content-field would be decreased. So that the distance is equal to the distance at the top. Is this also possible? Tried already to adjust some values in your code, but this doesn’t help me.

    Hi Yigit,

    That looks promising! Thanks!

Can you also tell me how to change the distance between the columns? I would like those to be equal to the space at the top.

    Hi Elliot,

That works great, thanks! But I’m now entering the next problem. I would like the space between he elements and the sidebar to be equal. I can’t find the right classes to adjust for this. Perhaps you know them? See the page then you see what I mean.

    Thanks and regards,

I’ve tried, but that code just edits the padding between yhe green blocks. I’m looking for the padding beneath the last child.

But your code set me in the right direction. I’ve changed padding in margin-bottom, gave it an negative margin and appended it to last-child. Now it’s how I want it.

    Thanks!

    Hi Josue,

Tried that, but it only resets my padding around the title. I want to edit the margin/padding between the newsbox and the textwidget. Tried to make it clear with an image. Distance A is smaller than B, A is right.

    Hi Rikard,

    Thanks for your reply!

I saw in my email notice that you first changed .widget, later you’ve changed that to #newsbox-5. Using them both gives me almost the solution. The .widget for the box al the way below. By giving it an padding 1px, it goed down for 20px. I don’t know how, but that works. But I don’t want it to be 20px, but just 2 or 3 px less. Any ideas?

    We’re almost there.

in reply to: css won't load #407608

    Found it!!

Off course a stupid mistake of my self!!!

    Just placed a ] instead of a }

This solves most of my mentioned problems. Still having trouble with the last case I’d mentioned above.

On my site you can see in the sidebar that there is 20px to much space between the purple and the first green block. At the bottom of the sidebar there has to be the same 20px between the last green and the white block.

Bin trying a lot of id’s and classes, but it won’t work so far.

Does someone knows how to fix this?

    Hi,

After I’ve changed the line-height of .entry-content-wrapper .post-title, It looks alright to me.

Thank you for thinking with me.

    Hi Rikard,

    Thank you for your reply!

But the font-color wasn’t the issue. I want the top padding of the title in the grey tab to be the same. I’m not getting it done to change the post title top padding.

    Hi Ismael,

The second topic about firefox did work indeed. Thank you!

The first one, when I wrote the topic the layout was a bit different as when you looked at it. In the mean while, I was testing a top menu slider, for that I adjusted the height and colour of .entry-content-header. Changing this also changed the layout of the tab in uncategorized, not as I wanted, but different. At this moment I’ve changed it back to origin and back. Now you can see what I mean, it’s about the top-paading above the title of the post. See also this image image. The right one is how I ould like it. The left one how it is displayed right now as post title.

    Erwin

in reply to: Relocate page-title #404068

    Hi Ismael,

    Thanks for your reply.

In te mean while I had already disabled the title and breadcrumbs, just as you suggested. Now I can style the “tabs” as I like them. You can see that on http://bit.ly/1Bt32Rd That’s the way it should be. I’ve hardcoded them into a text-block together with the content of block, perhaps you have better suggestions?

As I look at ‘Uncategorized’ the tap is slightly different. There has been a piece cut of on the top of it. I have tried to fiddle around with margins and paddings, but it doesn’t change a thing of the cut of piece.

Another thing is, my website looks good on my mac on chrome and safari, but it doesn’t look good on firefox, the content is much smaller, with is about 910px vs 1210px, any ideas about that? Also on a pc it’s no good, not in ie, ff or opera.

in reply to: Strange border at the top of page after update #360746

    Hi Ismael,

That works, but…. when I apply this code, the slider on the front page is cut of at the top and bottom. Somehow there is a padding or margin applied. This looks really terrible. As my site is a live site, I’ve put it back so that there is no border at all. I will make a copy of the site for testing, after that I report back so it is viewable.

in reply to: Strange border at the top of page after update #360261

    Hello Josue,

When I delete the added css-code, The borders are back. On some pages its shown right, on some not. On this screenshot you can see how it should be http://awesomescreenshot.com/0bb3xsd601on blog related pages, there is also a border at the bottom of the page,on some pages this same border is placed above the content. You can see a right page at http://bit.ly/1vx7WJR and a wrong one at http://bit.ly/1Cu2wnZ

Where is the difference in editing, coding or….?

in reply to: Strange border at the top of page after update #359441

That’s coreect, as the site is live I had disabled the whole border. It’s bac again now, only disabled the border at the homepag because it was reaaly obvious a fault.

What I mean is this http://awesomescreenshot.com/0e33xgtg29
That came from the same page as the url mentioned before is pointing at.

    Thanks so far!
