    yes yes yes!

    Thanks Mike!
    Works like a charm now! Finally this has been solved :P

    you’re the best! thanks again!

    Hi Mike,

    sorry for the late reply.

    I agree. As long as the most common resolutions are running smoothly, it’s totally fine.
    I’ve told you that I somehow tried to adjust the code you gave me. Now I suspect having some duplicates in the code.
    Could you double check if everything is okay? I’m especially unsure about the h3 code, as it’s in there twice.
    I’m sending this to you as my traffic has dropped by around 60% and I’m afraid the changes could be connected with that.

    All the best, Eike

    This is all the code i manually added to the enfold settings:

    .blog-categories {

    display: none!important;

    }

    .div.big-preview.multi-big, a.small-preview {
    display: none;
    }
    .avia-content-slider .slide-meta div.slide-meta-comments,
    .avia-content-slider .slide-meta div.slide-meta-comments + .slide-meta-del {
    display: none;
    }
    .related_posts {
    display:none!important;
    }
    .slide-entry.post-entry .slide-image {
    max-height: 170px;
    }
    /*
    #top .av-magazine .av-magazine-content-wrap .av-magazine-title a,
    #top .av_iconlist_title a {
    color: #d45e33;
    } */
    @media only screen and (min-width: 767px) and (max-width: 1441px) {
    #av_section_2 .post-entry-1617 .slide-entry h3.slide-entry-title a {
    font-size: 12px !important;
    line-height: 12px !important;
    }
    }
    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .av-special-heading-h2 h2 {
    font-size: 21px;
    }
    }
    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .av-special-heading-h1 h1 {
    font-size: 26px;
    }
    }
    @media only screen and (max-width: 900px) {
    h3.entry-title a {
    font-size: 18px !important;
    line-height: 12px !important;
    }
    }

    Hey Mike.
    I’ve set it to 900 max-width. That does the job. If you play around a bit with changing the width of my page and loog at the blog post overview, there’s still some issues. But i guess this is as good as it gets, isn’t it?!

    Thanks for your help!

    you can close it. thx

    Hi Mike.
    Thanks for the reply.
    I don’t want “some” links to be different from others. What im trying to achieve is that all links in general differ from normal text, whether its bold or not.. Because as it is right now, any Link looks either the same as the regular bold text or just like regular text (when not bold). As it is right now the reader can’t differentiate between normal text or a link right now. I just want to somehow show the reader “hey, this is a clickable link”

    If I use the general styling / main content options in enfield and adjust the primary color (Links, Dropcaps and other elements) its not only affecting the appearance of Links but also the bold text. How can I change the color of any Link (to make it stand out from the rest of the normal text) without changing the appearance of simple bold text?

    very basic i guess but i’m having trouble doing so :/

    You can just go to any of my blogposts and look for a link to see what i mean. The screenshot i was referring to was from this blogpost.

    hope you can figure out what i mean.
    regards

    Hey Mike,

    worked. Now i do have many “-” in my headlines tho whenever a long word is broken down into pieces. can I rather have it the way you did with the first code but just for smaller screen widths too? i prefer having a smaller font rather than having all those “-” in the headers.
    that’d be great and close this post =)

    Hi Vinay,

    that was of course the first thing I tried. after it didnt work i added the custom css code (shown above). I now tried it again and it worked out =)

    Thanks for helping me out!
    keep it up!

    on this screenshot you can see 3 links (the word “Dissertation” at the beginning of the 3rd block and the numbers in brackets (14) and (15). Additionally you can see the bold text which is not a link.
    I just want to make those links to stand out from the rest in giving it a specific color. Because as it is right now it’s hard for the reader to even notice that the word “Dissertation” is a clickable link.

    Hope that clarifies the issue

    worked. Thanks mike.

    One issue still remains at roughly 772px width, right before it changes to the 2 column view: the headlines of the blogposts still overlay.

    here’s a screenshot

    sry, i changed the permalink. thats the right one now.

    Hi Victoria,

    thanks for your answer and sorry for the late reply.
    By now the issue with the width is solved.

    I’m still struggling with changing the color of links without changing the color of everything thats bold.

    Hi Ismael.
    Thanks for the reply.
    The code worked for my h1 and h2 issue.

    Thanks a lot!

    keep it up!

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for the answer and for the code! It seems to work partly. In Mobile the fond is still big and depending on the lengths of the text there’s still an overlay. Its the same problem for the blogposts. I could live with that as I’m not having so many visitors via tablet anyways but the mobile version should be working somehow. Maybe there’s something else you can do with your magic keyboard =)
    regards

    I now changed the recent posts in the footer to a maximum of 3. That seems to work now as they are no longer shown side by side but in a vertical line.

    still having the same problem in mobile view, where the narrow container comes automatically due to the smaller and much narrower mobile resolution/screen.
    there’s gotta be a way to make those headlines responsive and shrink in size, right?

    I used this because of design aspects. And as you can see from many big websites, that’s not uncommon. Check theverge.com for example. they have a container thats only 730. I changed it to 800 but it doesnt seem to get rid of the problem.

    Is there a way to make those headlines responsive and thus smaller?
    And what about my 2nd question about the pictures?

    regards

    here you go
    you can see the problem both in the blog and in the footer

    sure
    in this article you can see the problem once you change to mobile view.

    Das selbe Problem hab ich auch in meinem Blog. Zusätzlich verschiebt sich dort dann auch noch der “weiterlesen” button.

    Wie erreiche ich da ein gleichmäßiges Design?

    thx

    Hi Voctoria,

    thanks for the reply.
    I’m trying to change the width of the blog posts as most of my traffic is there and not on the page you were referring to.

    And the color of the links is black now because I changed it to black. If I want the links to be orange or any other color not only the color of the links but also the bold-text and other text elements change.
    I want the bold text to stay black and just change the color of the links. I hope you can help.

    regards

    Hi Victoria,

    I changed the Maximum Container with from 1310 to 1510 but nothing changed. Yepp, I did cleared the cache.

    I also just now saw, that the Links in my blog posts are black just like the rest of the text body. When i change the primary color the old problem comes back to life (now the links and the bold text is the same color). So I just assume there’s gotta be a way to change the link colour without affecting any other text or color.

    best regards,
    eike

    Hey Victoria,

    Thanks for helping out! Finally this problem has been solved =) Appreciate it a lot!

    Can you also tell me how I can make the text field a bit wider on the desktop version? I want to reduce the blank space on the sides.
    Or do you want me to open a new thread for this?

    regards

    Hi Victoria.
    I now did as u told me to do but unfortunately the orange is still there =/
    the good news is that the boldness issue is gone =)
    any other ideas as for the orange and the Link color? There’s gotta be a way to change the link color. The howered-link-color seems to work. so strange…

    regards

    ups. sorry. I misread. Thought you were talking about the login credentials.

    Hi Victoria.
    Dont know why the existing user-account is not working. It did so for your fellow worker “Dude”.
    I now generated a new PW.

    in reply to: Blog post font doesn't change, headers do #1004037

    Now that’s what I call good customer service! Thanks!
    Okay. I’ll try to be specific:

    1. The awkward orange can be seen on my “landing-page”. Can you tell me how and where I can change that to a color of my preference? I’m talking about all the orange text elements you can see.
    Here’s a screenshot 1 of it.

    For the following 2 questions I took my latest blog post. The issues apply to all blog posts though.

    2. on mobile, the bold text differs from the non-bold text, which is good as i want bold text to stand out of course.
    On my desktop, however, the bold hardly differs from the non-bold. Can I somehow make it stand out more (maybe even without effecting the mobile version, as its on point there)?
    Here’s a screenshot 2 showing the problem on desktop. The first sentence under the picture is bold but hardly differs from the non bold. The sentence reads: “Schnarchen betrifft Männer sowie Frauen, wenn auch Männer häufiger betroffen sind.”

    3. Also, on that screenshot you can see that the link-text-color is the same as the normal text. The link is just the picture and reads ”
    SCHLAFSTÖRUNGEN SYMPTOME, ARTEN & BEHANDLUNG • KOMPLETTER GUIDE 2018″
    How can I make change the link color? I tried the options in the Enfold general and advanced styling options but nothing seems to work.

    I hope I got through to you

    in reply to: Blog post font doesn't change, headers do #1003689

    I recognized that somehow I now have this strong orange color for the related articles on my main-homepage
    how do I get rid of that?
    sorry for asking so many questions, but the enfold-settings just play me :/
