Any response to this? I even tried creating my own custom element, but the layout builder insists on putting wrappers around whatever I try to insert. Isn’t there some way to just put some text into the output from Avia Layout Builder which will not be overwritten every time the editor runs?
Spreadsheet Integration is the one I had to turn off. I’m not sure that I trust this will be the end of the problem, but it’s working so far. And Yoast SEO is activated, the one I thought was causing the problem is now activated.
Once again, it seems the problem is caused by weird plugin interference. I tried deactivating and activating groups of plugins until I found one that seemed to be the culprit. The strange thing is, the other day a different one was the culprit. So there remains some kind of underlying problem, perhaps related to simply having too many plugins operating at once? In any event, the emergency is over for now. It is stressful to not know whether the editor is going to open the page!
YES! I need further help with this. The problem seemed to go away. In the meantime, I updated the theme to 4.8.6. But now it is back. I have switched back and forth between versions of the theme, and nothing helps. This is a really insidious problem. Not being able to edit pages is catastrophic.
I have the Yoast SEO plugin disabled—that is what fixed this the other day. Perhaps the problem isn’t really related to Yoast SEO, there must be some other underlying conflict.
I had this problem solved, seemingly, by deactivating SEO plugin. But now the problem is back. There is some other underlying issue that causes this, and it is really troublesome. I will post another separate thread.
I get the spinning circle on ALL pages. It started suddenly last night. I had not changed anything. I am dead in the water, cannot edit my site. Need help urgently. Posted about this in a separate post.
