My research into another issue led to my contacting Jetpack and it turns out that this is a known issue that they’re working on. It has nothing to do with Enfold, but with their mail subscription to blog function. Any shortcode that isn’t used by WP.com will show up in emails as code.

I’ve switched my blog emails to summary, so that they only see an excerpt , and I’ll try not to use any shortcode headings in the first part.

Is there any other way to make headers, etc. in Enfold’s default editor apart from Shortcodes?

Sorry- that’s not what I meant Elliot. I don’t have a child theme. That was above my technical skills and I was advised that I wouldn’t need one as I’m not making big changes to the theme, only CCS Quick Code. My question is whether having gone in to edit includes > loop-search.php might cause issues because I don’t have a child theme. It seemed like a bigger edit to the theme than a Quick CCS. Thanks.

So Sorry – I am new to forums such as this and the initial start-up of my website has been work intensive and overwhelming, but it’s coming along nicely. It is true I have heavily depended on your services to help me get over that initial load. It will definitely slow down once the initial issues from the transfer work I hired to have done have been solved. I understand the problem. Wow. I had hired a pro team at Bluehost to do the transfer. I will also contact them about it even though our contract is over. As a technical newbie, I hadn’t caught that mistake during our 2 week window.

I don’t think re-transferring the site is an option – I believe I would lose the 300 hours+ of work I’ve put on the new site in the last few weeks.

I’ve checked and the photos are in the new media library. For example

is in the current library as:

I tried changing the beginning of the link manually on one photo in the Photo Edit Custom Url box and it worked.

Interestingly, all the photos in the galleries that we thankfully fixed using Jetpack are linked to the new media library. At least that’s what it looks like.

I informed the Bluehost Chat Line of the problem and they suggest I use Velvet Blues to have all the links changed. Can I get a second opinion?

Actually, not completely resolved. This is a blog post I had issues with back in WP.com. I had had to put period and return space in the copy so that I would have lines in between. Now, here, the first quote is in the new format, but all the others are in the fat grey font.

I’ve gone in and taken out the periods and unclicked quote and reclicked it – but still grey.
