Thank you.
Hi Ismael – you didn’t create a test Page, you created a post that was sent out to my list by email. I got an email from one of my followers about it this morning. I’ve erased it from my website.
But I copied the code into “It’s Your Turn” into tomorrow’s draft post and it worked. I’m not sure why it did this time and not before… but it worked.
Thanks.

Thank you Andy – is that also for the ones for the white title bottom left in the theme black single files? see photo – not sure the name. https://www.dropbox.com/s/40m6q856u7v494x/Screen%20Shot%202015-09-25%20at%207.14.55%20PM.png?dl=0

Hi again – OK, so I switched to Text and found the shortcode. Then I added all the numbers as follows (without that space between the 3 and nine – I added that here so you could see). But it still shows up with all the symbols instead of “It’s Your Turn” in the actual post.
[av_heading heading='It 9;s Your Turn' tag='h3' style='blockquote modern-quote' size='' subheading_active='' subheading_size='15' padding='10' color='custom-color-heading' custom_font='#5f3194'][/av_heading]
Please advise. A few months ago we had the same issue – you could use the codes at your end, but I couldn’t at mine. There’s something I’m missing or that doesn’t work on my system. I’m hoping it’s something I’m missing so we can resolve this. Thanks. You have private info in this thread to check it out. It’s at the bottom of the post – last title. Thanks.

Back to 1. I figured out that I was using the share function of Jetpack for all other pages, but it’s not working here. Not sure if the Enfold update had anything to do with that. But that’s why the Enfold Share with “same as blog” wasn’t working. I put up a custom one via Enfold and that worked. It just has a very different look. I’ll contact Jetpack to understand why it’s not working. Thanks. See above for 2 and 3.
Hi and thanks
1) Not sure I have the technical skills to figure that one out.
2)Thank you – learned something new.
3) I mean the yellow boxed title when hovering over any image in the gallery – see middle top of screen shot – https://www.dropbox.com/s/ugt3mmiy4k5gkoy/Screen%20Shot%202015-09-25%20at%207.15.16%20PM.png?dl=0AND when you click on an image in the gallery and it goes to a black screen
see bottom left of screen shot -https://www.dropbox.com/s/40m6q856u7v494x/Screen%20Shot%202015-09-25%20at%207.14.55%20PM.png?dl=0but only for this page – not my whole site.
Thank you
Hi – I gave it a try, but it didn’t work. Can you check what I did wrong? I remember trying the codes before, but it not working.
I was going for “It’s Your Turn”.
This is how it looked after I changed the short code in the editor.
[av_heading heading='It's Your Turn' tag='h3' style='blockquote modern-quote' size='' subheading_active='' subheading_size='15' padding='10' color='custom-color-heading' custom_font='#5f3194'][/av_heading]
and this is what it did in my post preview (post is unpublished, so no live link) – see screen shot

September 24, 2015 at 12:00 pm in reply to: Trying to Understand Portfolios – tutorials not enough #508315Thanks Ismael. I’ll soon be wanting to crete a special grid on my homepage to highlight 12 of my blog posts on one topic. Can I choose my posts as portfolio items or will I need to redo them as individual portfolio items?
September 23, 2015 at 12:31 pm in reply to: Trying to Understand Portfolios – tutorials not enough #507677Thanks Yigit. I’ve watched it several times, but it’s missing the basics of what and why portfolios. Also, it doesn’t talk about the whole creating portfolio items and except to say that you take them from there. I was hoping for the foundation first. Thanks.
No worries Isamel and thank you. But almost every post has a title that should have an ‘ in it. Can you teach me a way that it will work so I can do it myself? Something different than the ones above as that didn’t work (at least when I tried it months ago). Thanks.
September 23, 2015 at 12:23 pm in reply to: Trying to Understand Portfolios – tutorials not enough #507663Thank you. Your description makes my choice easy. It’ll be the gallery this time around.
Is there a link to a basic document that can help me understand the whole portfolio part of Enfold? I’ve looked at the demos and it isn’t enough. Thanks.Hello – I’m still having problems using apostrophes in titles using Shortcodes “What’s …”. This wasn’t fixed in the last update. Is it still on the fix wish-list? It’s really an inconvenience when writing in English. As a reminder, the both the symbols and replacing title in html didn’t work. Thanks.
September 22, 2015 at 10:06 pm in reply to: Any way for site visitors to download audio file? #507394This was resolved. please close. Thank you.
Thanks! I recreated the rule and made sure I had an * before and after the url and this time it seems to be sticking. Yay! Problem solved.
Hi and thanks for the tips, but it didn’t work. Yes, I’m on CloudFlare and I followed the instructions. I had already created a Page Rule for my admin page and then turned off the Security … tab as indicated in those 2 other posts. Then I tried and re-created the same error. I change it to “Send Me a Message” and save and update. View page and it’s fine. Then I make any change on the page or simply click update again and it goes back to the “Send us Mail”. I think this was happening before I joined CloudFlare, but not sure. I’ve re-created the form from scratch a few times in the past. I haven’t re-created the page, which I’d rather avoid. I’d prefer to make sure the “Send Me a Message” is the last thing I update on that page each time. Then it sticks. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Yes, it was Quick CSS and all seems well. The only change I see is one I get every time I make any changes on this one page. I’ve never mentioned it before. It’s for the contact form at the bottom of http://www.dominiquehurley.com/energy-painting-commissions/ . No matter where on the page I make a change, when I update the page, the “Send Me a Message” email reverts to the default “Send Us Mail”. I constantly have to go back in and change it. Sorry I didn’t mention it before.
Question – last time I updated, the message said that it would take care not to delete all the CSS code that you guys have been giving me since I created the site. This time I get the message ” Any modifications made to the Theme Files will be lost when updating. If you did change any files (Custom CSS rules or PHP file modifications for example) make sure to create a theme backup.” I don’t know how to do this. You’ve been giving me so much CSS help since the beginning – I wouldn’t want to lose that. Please advise.

Thank you. I just got the new update notice this morning. Will do that.
Another follow-up. The issue above is happening on several pages. Also on http://www.dominiquehurley.com/intuitive-readings/
The format goes from normal to messed-up (as per screen shots above) a few times (saving each time I try to fix it, but it goes back) and then disappears completely from the Visual editor. So if I open to edit, there’s a blank screen.
I’m using Chrome on a Macbook Pro.
Follow-up to message above. Now all my editor text box windows on that page are empty in visual and I can only see them in text mode. See private content for access info.
Fantastic Ismael. That worked. Thanks. Resolved.
Hi Rickard. But that section isn’t just a visual. There are 2 linked images that act as buttons. Folks are asked to click on one button or the other to go to my opt-in form. Ideally, I wanted to create a very thin opt-in banner above the slider, but with 3 fields. Unfortunately, using MailChimps code in the text field creates a very thick opt-in form, like at the very bottom of my homepage at http://www.DominiqueHurley.com .
I’m looking for a way to get folks to sign-up to my newsletter above the fold on my homepage. I had purchased Popupally Pro which allows all sorts of customizations to their banner, but with my limited tech skills, I couldn’t get it to be responsive and thin enough and it caused problems with the theme. So I’m back to looking for solutions within the theme. Any advice?
Hi – sorry, my opt-in is one -click away. So, what people now see when they go to my site is this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gfkl2p63bk3uguf/Screen%20Shot%202015-08-27%20at%2012.32.31%20PM.png?dl=0And what I would like is for them to see this (with the menu on top of course):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5gzqm238de6ci6g/Screen%20Shot%202015-08-27%20at%2012.33.08%20PM.png?dl=0Thanks,
DominiqueThank you. Resolved. Wonderful!
To add to my replies above – could this code have affected the round photo icons in the search field? They were there yesterday, and now there are only numbers inside the circles. See http://www.dominiquehurley.com/?s=transform
Fantastic. That worked. Any way to get the writing in white and the button white (but keep the purple writing there) I didn’t see any text # in all the naked form code from Mail Chimp. The fact I knew to look says a lot about what you guys have taught this non-techy this year :-)
Continued… Actually, it looks twice as big as the space between the other widgets in the space bar.
Hi Andy, Thanks. The border disappeared, but the space between the widgets didn’t. See http://www.dominiquehurley.com/blog/ Does that code include something specific to let it know that it’s for the sidebar? I just put it in the general Enfold CCS window.
Thanks.
