Thanks. I wouldn’t know where to look if it is causing issues anywhere else.
Before contacting you again on this issue with this thread, I’d tried that, but it showed the code in the post and the whole post had grey and white lines in it the way your reply with the code in it has. My site preview showed that, so I took it out.
January 15, 2016 at 4:51 pm in reply to: Space Formatting for images went back to old mistake with update #566176Wonderful – it worked. Thanks Andy.
Question: If you put it in the Quick CS (that’s in the dashboard for Enfold if I understand), will it not affect all the captions everywhere on the site? Could that cause other issues?January 15, 2016 at 4:37 pm in reply to: Space Formatting for images went back to old mistake with update #566163Hi Andy,
The reason it’s doing that in the editor is because photo #8 has a 2-line (long) title (the source of the problem). But all the photos are Left Aligned – that’s not the issue. It always looked like that in the editor, but it used to be OK when seeing it live because of the code your colleague gave me. Now it isn’t.
Maybe he can take a look at it again if he still works there? Or do you have any suggestions on how to change it in the editor as you suggested? Thank you
January 15, 2016 at 3:49 pm in reply to: Space Formatting for images went back to old mistake with update #566126Hi Andy – if I stretch my screen to the maximum, I get what you do. If my window is a bit shrunk (which it usually is, and the photos line up 3 by 3 instead of 4 wide, then I get the issue).
Re: “Are you referring to the minimum height value of the code Elliott provided you in the other thread? As you are asked to put the code into a codeblock element it would survive any theme updates (it would als if you put it into Quick CSS field).”
Yes, I’m referring to that, but since I was using the default editor, not the Avia, it wasn’t part of content block. He also said just put it anywhere on the page in Text mode. Does that help you troubleshoot? Thanks.
January 14, 2016 at 7:21 pm in reply to: Space Formatting for images went back to old mistake with update #565714Hi Andy – I used Google translation for your German :-) Nice to be talented in more than 1 language.
That’s the same computer I have. Glad it’s working on some computers, but that doesn’t fix the issue on others. In that other thread, the fix had been a minimum line depth that would ensure that the double-lined title wouldn’t cause that to happen. https://kriesi.at/support/topic/formatting-irregularity-can-you-see-whats-wrong/
Is there a way of checking if that fix stayed with the Enfold update? I’m not very techy. See private info.
Thanks.
January 13, 2016 at 3:26 pm in reply to: Space Formatting for images went back to old mistake with update #564748Hi Andy,
Your screen seems to be bigger than mine. I only get 3 and it’s the same in Chrome as Firefox. But it didn’t use to do that after I followed the original instructions. I don’t know if I lost that formatting when Enfold updated. But if I try it now, it doesn’t work – puts grey and white stripes through the whole page and shows the code.
January 13, 2016 at 1:01 pm in reply to: Space Formatting for images went back to old mistake with update #564629Here you go – https://www.dropbox.com/s/ohrte2e70sa54g8/Screen%20Shot%202016-01-13%20at%207.29.19%20AM.png?dl=0
It had been fixed so that no matter the size of screen it wouldn’t do that, but it’s gone back.
January 4, 2016 at 2:34 pm in reply to: audio only working on laptop, not iPhone – is it working for you on iPad /other? #559187Thanks. I was just using the File Upload in the Media for my blogs to upload the mp4 voice memo file format that I’d gotten off my iPhone. It inserted the player into my posts. It played on my computer so I assumed everyone could access it. After your reply, I learned to convert the mp4 into an mp3 using iTunes and uploaded that instead. I had one person say they could now hear it. I don’t have access to wifi or tablets as I’m traveling right now, but I’m hoping it can now be heard by most. It’s now also working in an incognito window, which it wasn’t before.
Thanks again – resolved.
December 31, 2015 at 2:40 pm in reply to: audio only working on laptop, not iPhone – is it working for you on iPad /other? #558710Another Note: I couldn’t get it to play on a Chrome incognito window either. But it downloaded from there. Coudln’t download on the iPhone.
Thanks.
December 31, 2015 at 1:34 pm in reply to: audio only working on laptop, not iPhone – is it working for you on iPad /other? #558705Note: I tried it again on my computer in an incognito window and had to refresh a few times for the counter to show up, but the audio isn’t playing. Can you help me figure this out? Thanks. I’ve added private content if you need to see the back end.
December 29, 2015 at 2:21 pm in reply to: Notification malfunction when not using Avia Layout Builder #558072Thanks Josue and Happy New Year – It didn’t quite work as planned. I ended up with the same grey and white lines as in your code reply around the notification box (after I copied and pasted the code), although the notification box in the middle looked normal. So I decided to just put it all in the same sentence. Just thought Kriesi would like to know that the shortcode command wasn’t functioning properly. Thanks.
November 18, 2015 at 2:14 pm in reply to: Social Share Buttons not working on Avia post – appearing and disappearing #538103Hi Ismael, The Jetpack share checkbox does show up every time I write a post in my editor at the bottom, under the SEO box, which may also be from Jetpack (not sure anymore). So no matter if I’m in the default or Avia, I have the chance to choose it. And it did show up in my last blog post.
Very interestingly, today, as I was about to copy/paste the url of the page again that wasn’t working, the jetpack shortcode worked. It wasn’t working when I updated and previewed last time, but it’s there now. Thanks and resolved for me.
November 16, 2015 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Social Share Buttons not working on Avia post – appearing and disappearing #536823Hi Isamel – this is giving me hope on this one, but it’s still not working…
1) Yes, I have Jetpack and in looking at it now, I see that it even has a checkmark to activate it inside Avia – see screen shot – https://www.dropbox.com/s/s79hwzi2sw0ekha/Screen%20Shot%202015-11-16%20at%201.08.35%20PM.png?dl=0
2) I tried putting the shortcode you gave me and it showed up on the Page. I then realized I had to download that plugin – I did and activated it. Then I put the shortcode in a Visual textbox and nothing appeared on the page.
3) I tried in the Text Textbox to click on the button code then put in the [jpshare] and then clicked on the code button again.
Am I supposed to be able to just drop [jpshare] into the Visual Textbox without any other code or buttons?
Thanks – still learning to be a techy.November 13, 2015 at 2:30 pm in reply to: Social Share Buttons not working on Avia post – appearing and disappearing #535381Hi Rikard, It’s supposed to be on the bottom – see any other page on my website. I put the Enfold one in because I couldn’t get the other one to work. But I’d rather have consistency throughout the site. Any ideas?
November 12, 2015 at 2:33 pm in reply to: Social Share Buttons not working on Avia post – appearing and disappearing #534761Great news. The Jetpack social media buttons appeared automatically with the Avia post as well. The only mystery is why it’s not showing on http://www.dominiquehurley.com/inspirational-quote-buffet/ , which wasn’t a blog post, but a regular page. They’ve showed on other regular pages before.
November 12, 2015 at 1:53 pm in reply to: Spacing at Top of Page Different between Advanced and Default Blog Editor #534735Thank you Ismael – I know I will need to learn to do this (debug + template) as all my automatic email send-outs for my blog this morning (through Jetpack) was only code since I used the Avia editor. But reading it this morning it looks too complicated for my limited techy-ness. I’ll digest it for a few days and see if it looks more manageable then. Thanks for your help.
November 10, 2015 at 10:54 pm in reply to: Spacing at Top of Page Different between Advanced and Default Blog Editor #533726Sorry Andy – my turn not to understand “f you want to save your blog post build with ALB then simply save it as a template and load it when adding a new post.”
I’m usually fine with the default editor, but wanted to use the Image with Hotspots feature for tomorrow’s post. So I decided to use the Avia builder (but the little checkbox still appears at the bottom under the SEO box stuff (from Jetpack I think), so I assumed it would still work. I know I can use the Image with Hotspots in the Default Editor as well, but then I can’t edit it. If I design it and hit save, everything becomes code, so I can’t open and change anything like I do with Avia. But usually the default editor is fine.
So, if I understand, it doesn’t matter that the checkbox is there. I’d have to use your Share buttons element. Right?
Can you explain what you said above about loading a saved template. Is that in the Default Editor? Thanks.
November 10, 2015 at 12:45 pm in reply to: Social Share Buttons not working on Avia post – appearing and disappearing #533178My apologies. They have appeared once the post published – for the default editor. Please don’t close this thread – I’ll test on Thursday if they appear for the Avia. They stil don’t appear on the Inspirational Quote Buffet Page, which is not a blog post.
November 10, 2015 at 12:27 am in reply to: Social Share Buttons not working on Avia post – appearing and disappearing #532977Hi again, I just drafted a new post with the default editor and it too is having the same problem. The Share buttons aren’t showing in the preview. Could it be that the Enfold Theme Update could have made that incompatible? Or perhaps they only appear after I publish – I’m doubting myself now. I just know I couldn’t get them to appear on one of my pages (http://www.dominiquehurley.com/inspirational-quote-buffet/ ) and now I’m concerned that’s true of my blog too. I’ll let you know after it publishes in the morning.

November 9, 2015 at 8:54 pm in reply to: Social Share Buttons not working on Avia post – appearing and disappearing #532877Hi Yigit. I would like to use the usual JetPack share that appears on all my posts. It just won’t work with your Avia Advanced Layout Builder/Editor. It works fine when I use the default editor. Can that help with troubleshooting? Thanks.
November 9, 2015 at 10:57 am in reply to: Social Share Buttons not working on Avia post – appearing and disappearing #532459Hi Rikard – I don’t have Sharedaddy. But I do have Jetpack by WordPress. From what I understand, you’re saying that checkbox at the bottom of my posts aren’t part of Enfold. If that’s correct, OK thanks.

November 7, 2015 at 4:40 pm in reply to: Blog Post Features not showing up if I use Advanced Layout Editor #531890Fantastic! You’re very right – I didn’t notice it. It’s logical that it would be there though. Thanks!
October 22, 2015 at 2:09 pm in reply to: Where do I find " the section of my website’s index.html file ? #522954Never mind – I found out that I can do it through Tools – Available Tools – Confirmation – for Pinterest and my meta tag showed up there. Thanks. Resolved.
October 16, 2015 at 7:27 pm in reply to: Formatting irregularity – can you see what's wrong? #520258Fantastic! It worked. Thank you. Resolved.
October 16, 2015 at 12:06 am in reply to: Formatting irregularity – can you see what's wrong? #519631I’m using the default editor for that page. Once I switch to text editor, where exactly do I put in that code? After the code for the yellow picture? Sorry, not techy. The more details the better, but I’m learning so much thanks to your amazing tech team.
October 15, 2015 at 7:24 pm in reply to: Formatting irregularity – can you see what's wrong? #519503Or could we enter a hard return for an extra space after that whole line? I’m not sure the code or where to put it.
October 15, 2015 at 7:24 pm in reply to: Formatting irregularity – can you see what's wrong? #519502Your explanation makes total sense. Thanks. I’m not familiar with “a codeblock element in the page”. Where is that? Thanks.
Oops. Just in case you’re looking at it – it wasn’t tomorrow’s draft post, but Oct. 1 – The Law of Polarity.
Actually – to follow-up, the title was there when I just did Preview the first time, but when I made some more edits and updated again, the title disappeared altogether. With new Updates to the post, the shortcode changed from ' to ‘. So I put it back in and will have to remember in the future that if ever I make any edits to any page with an apostrophe, I’ll lose my titles if it’s not the last edit I make. It would be really great if Kriesi put on the wishlist something that can fix this so that we can just type apostrophes in Special Headings like we can in post titles. Thanks.
