Thank you Vinay – I guess the owner of that YouTube channeled learned how to do it as it used to be OK. It’s not my video. But now I know. I tried getting to that Settings Page on my channel for my videos and it wouldn’t give me permission to access the page. Not sure why. But my default is on to allow embbeding and I’m OK with that.

    Thanks. Case closed.

    Hi Isamel! I should know there’s a plugin for everything. Fantastic. I couldn’t remember where/what a functions.php file is, but I followed Yigit’s advice in the other link;
    “Hi!

Please try using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/hide-youtube-related-videos/

    @guenni007
    thanks for your help :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit”

And it worked. No more videos or anything else at the end. Thank you so much!

Thank you. That’s very helpful. I’ll keep it on YouTube and add a longer white screen at the end so that they take my call to action before clicking on one of YouTube’s invitations.

    Case closed.

Hi Ismael, I should have asked to test on a new Page, not post as now all my subscribers received your Test Video message. I deleted that post. Please don’t test on posts.

I had used the uploader / shortcode or Avia. I didn’t use the link unless it was from YouTube, which is how I had to go.

How did you get your mp4 to load?

Yes, that one is .mov . Is that a problem? The original one I tried working with is an mp4. I just tried re-uploading it and go t a413 message – entitity too large. It;s 158 MB and the uploader tells me the maximum is 10GB. I don’t remember that message last time, but haven’t been able to upload them. It’s just a 1 minute vdeo. Even my 75-minute one was under 10GB, but wouldn’t upload.

Thanks for the converter links. Good to have.

Thanks Ismael. I’m not sure how to figure that out in iMovie, but even for my short video, it only showed a link on my post, not the video. Is that normal? If I type in a url from youtube, it shows the video. If I use the media library and upload a super short mp4 video (iMovie -> save file), then it shows a link instead of the video in my post. Is that because it’s an mp4 or something else?

Thank you. That brought my video / form above the fold. Case closed. :-)

Thank you so much Yigit. The widget didn’t exist when I started adding forms the long way. This is great and I got it to work! Case closed. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Thanks Josue – I’ll have to wait until another Avia issue comes up, so it will take a while to report.

in reply to: Manual URL malfunction in icon boxes #606236

OK – so deactivate them all and if the issue is gone, reactivate one at a time until I find the culprit?
    Thanks,

in reply to: Manual URL malfunction in icon boxes #605750

OK Thanks. Is there a link you could send me to that explains the process of
Deactivating plugins – checking issues – reactivating plugins.
    Much appreciated.

in reply to: Why Broken Photo Links? #605278

OK Thanks. That will take a while. I’ll post back in 1-2 days. Please keep open.

in reply to: Why Broken Photo Links? #605265

What are FTP credentials? Is that the password? I’ll include in Private Content

in reply to: Why Broken Photo Links? #605259

Thanks Yigit – I’m afraid that’s way above my technical knowledge.

About the de-activating all active plugins, I was told to do this before for something else. I know how to de-activate, but then they won’t be working (security and others I need). What do you do once you de-activate? I need step by step if you have a link for that too please.

    Thanks again for your patience.

in reply to: Manual URL malfunction in icon boxes #604855

Hi, yes the original links are fine now on my homepage because I changed them back. The major issue was that they mysteriously switched on their own from a url to the word “manually” while I wasn’t working on the page (as in during the weeks that followed. I just wanted to make sure you knew about it and were looking into it. There’s no more evidence on my site though. They haven’t switched back again, but who knows if they will again.

The follow-up questions were based on suggestions to check my Plugins, which I didn’t understand how to do. This led to a discussion on the issues I’ve been having with Avia for a long time.

Andy talked about “so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest accoun”. He also suggested ” I assume you already tried to deactivate all plugins to check if one is causing this issue?”

and I’m still waiting to hear how to do the checking part – I know how to deactivate. But how do I know if it was causing an issue?

Ismael talked about checking input codes first.

So this one is not resolved and I too am confused. Not a techy and nervous about ruining the site if I “delete all theme files.”

So back to checking plugins first – please explain what I do after I deactivate. How do I check?

    Thanks for your patience.

Hi – thank you. I saw that last night when I added a Check Broken Links plugin. I’ve fixed it. Who knows what happened to the original image in my library.

What about the other more major issue?

    Thanks,

in reply to: Manual URL malfunction in icon boxes #601194

Hi Ismael – The issue happened on my homepage. http://www.DominiqueHurley.com . But there were no input codes that I made. All I had to do was the drop-down for manual and then paste the url of the page it was linking to. As I said, it had been working and then mysteriously switched on its own some time later. I changed it back to the URL after I noticed the links were broken and found the screen shot above (word “manually” had replaced the url. Now it’s working again. It’s just the mysterious switch that we need to figure out. And I have a suspicion it has to do with the other issues I have with Avia. See private content, but please be careful as it’s my homepage. Thanks.

P.S. The Visual editor is working in the 2 textboxes there today, but the image in About keeps breaking. Not sure why. It’s there on the View Page.

    Great. Thanks. Resolved.

in reply to: Manual URL malfunction in icon boxes #599905

Hi Andy, by “delete all theme files completely via FTB” – will that delete / change any of my content? Will it affect what I’ve ever done on my website in any way? I’m not a techy by nature and so I’ll admit that sounds a bit alarming :-)

As for deactivate all plugins to check – this too was above my techy understanding. I can now see where I can deactivate. So do I deactivate one and test to see if the content reappears and then reactivate it and try the next? Is that how to “check if one is causing the issue”? Sorry for the beginner enquiry here.

in reply to: slider not completely responsive #598667

It’s on this website – 3rd device down – the Android portrait
    http://youresponsive.com/device?url=dominiquehurley.com
    Thanks.

in reply to: Manual URL malfunction in icon boxes #597857

Hi again – to add to above.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ve had a lot of trouble with Avia Layout builder. This goes from before my system change or Grammarly. I’d say at least 6 months. I rarely use it now as my Pages are built and most of my blog posts are the default editor. But if I write something and then I go back, often, I can’t use the Visual Editor. I have to go to text and figure out my edits in there (I’m learning a lot about code). It’s not every time, but I’d say 80% of the time. I can’t access what’s there – the visual editor is blank. So I can’t use a lot of the stuff I’m used to – like Bold, etc.

I’m not sure if this should be an extra ticket, but it came to mind again here. Thanks.

in reply to: Manual URL malfunction in icon boxes #597853

    hi,

no. nothing changed on my site or computer except an upgrade to the newest Mac Operating system, OS El Capitan. Iwas 2 systems back before. Could that be it? I installed Grammarly a few months back. Maybe I hadn’t noticed way back then. No one else has access.

in reply to: slider not completely responsive #596312

Good news – further to message above, a few hours later it had changed on yourresponsive.com . The font has shrunk and it’s now responsive on most of them, but not the Android portrait. The textbox is very narrow and so my sentences aren’t all there. See sreenshot https://www.dropbox.com/s/ur28lwx7seapfl2/Screen%20Shot%202016-03-10%20at%209.53.53%20AM.png?dl=0

Not sure if there’s anything we can do about that.

Are there other non-responsive items in Enfold that I should be checking? That need extra code?

    Thanks again.

in reply to: slider not completely responsive #596230

Hi- that’s the code I used in Ismael’s first part of the message – he provided 2 options. I cut and pasted yours just in case but there are no changes. I’ve changed to cloud hosting – does that slow down changes I would see because the info is cached all over? Hmmm…

in reply to: slider not completely responsive #596214

Hi Ismael, I put in the code to reduce the font size, but it didn’t change. Those words are my key marketing / targeting messages so I’d like to keep them. Do you have another code line that may work better? Thank you.

I went back again half an hour later and it was fine – not sure if you fixed it or if it just took time to do so. Either way, it’s good now. Yay. Thank you.

    Hi Ismael,

Thanks but it didn’t work. It’s still perfect if I click the Preview, but on the live page, it’s all white.

    This one’s resolved. Thank you.

    This one’s resolved. Thank you.

in reply to: Menu Drop Down not centred for 1 tab #571216

Thank you. That did it. Resolved.

Yes, it’s fixed on this page and I don’t know if putting it in CCS instead of on the page will negatively affect other pages on the site. So, for now, problem is resolved. Thanks. Andy.
