Hi Mike,
i have verified that some mobile devices (especially iOS Browsers) have serious issues with svg which caused that failure. After using a jpg everything is fine.
Thank you very much for your time and effort. The ticket can now be closed.

thanks for the reply. I’ve changed the image to jpg and for the moment it seems, that the problem is solved with this. I will check this out in more detail and return to you in this thread, please don’t close it for now. Shouldn’t take to long, just to let you know, that i’m working on it and you guys don’t have to check it on your side for the moment.
Thanks so far!

i appreciate your quick answer, thank you very much. I made you a video to show you the effect (what i meant by flickering). You can watch it here: https://dogunihalle.de/IMG_8158.MOV (20MB, Apple Movie File)
I made the video with my iPhone 12 Max with the Website running on an iPad 9th Generation (pretty fast, revision from last year). I have the same trouble on my iPhone and users with android phones reported that also.
The files of the child-theme are pretty much empty. There is no css, also there is no css in the quick-css area that relates to the background-image. I activated theme files editing anyways, so you can have a look. The setting in “Layout” (child theme name) => common styling => background of the body are the only settings. Could this be something special with svg, also with the bg_container, you mentioned? I thought it might be a good idea, to use svg here, so the gradients are beautiful on each device?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Regards,
