Never mind, the latest update seems to have restored the 3 second option.
Thanks again!

Thanks Andy!
I’ll have a look at the lazy-load plugin, that may prove useful. Aside from that, is there a way to get the fullscreen slider to 3 seconds? That’s still an issue I’m having.
As for optimizing, these are my current statistics: http://gtmetrix.com/reports/allurexpressions.com/eNPjlaJi

I’m not exactly sure how to go about contacting him?
I noticed, after running both sites through gtmetrix.com, the only significant difference I could find is the manner in which his images load. In the timeline, it looks like the images are blocked from loading until needed (correct me if I’m wrong)? Is this beneficial, and if so how does one go about doing so.Time line, test and comparison of both sites I’m referring to found here: http://gtmetrix.com/compare/DUvKJ3bw/h9ImSx2I
I’m using the “Fullscreen Slider” and I’m given the options:
2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60, 100.Great! Much appreciated!
Yes, thank you!
I’ve tried adding #top .av-main-nav ul a { text-align: center; } to Quick CSS as well as custom CSS, to no avail. The sublevel links don’t move at all. Suggestions?
Wonderful! But what about the sublevel links? They are still aligned to the left.
January 4, 2015 at 3:17 am in reply to: Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again #374586Well, since Mod Security has been disabled, I’ve received at least 100 spam comments on random posts in the last two days. Any recommendations?

January 2, 2015 at 11:25 pm in reply to: Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again #374299Right, I recognized it’s an issue with Mod Security. Since they’re unable to whitelist a specific file (or so they’ve stated), I was only wondering if there’s an alternative recommended to having Mod Security now that it’s disabled. Either way, I can save again, and finally get to work on re-branding.
Thanks for the assistance!
January 2, 2015 at 5:46 pm in reply to: Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again #374109The problem appears to have been resolved, however my host was unable to whitelist an individual file, and they’ve disabled Mod Security entirely. Is this recommended, and/or are there other security measures (or plugins) recommended for use with this theme now that Mod Security is disabled? I believe, if I knew what rule was triggering the issue I’m having with saving in theme options, they could turn off the rule, but I wouldn’t know how to find it ( I didn’t even recognize the 404 for the admin ajax script.).
December 30, 2014 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again #373181Should I request they turn off mod_security entirely for Enfold to function, or are there specific parameters they need to change?
Mod Security has been blocking my IP Address, triggered by a false positive, which they say can be rectified by disabling the specific rule blocking me. That’s a separate matter from the 404 for the admin ajax script I’d assume. Shall I ask them to disable it entirely?
December 29, 2014 at 9:22 pm in reply to: Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again #372814I have deleted all .htaccess files on the server. As for contacting the host, I recently contacted about my IP address being blocked frequently, and the sent the reply I’ve pasted below. Is this relevant to this problem as well?
ModSecurity (also known as “modsec”) has proven itself useful in a variety of situations, and again this is true in assisting with WordPress brute force attempts resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) attack. While a number of WordPress plugins exist to prevent such attacks, custom modsec rules can prevent such attacks for all WordPress installations on a server. Modsec immediately filters incoming HTTP requests, which assists against taxing server resources.
These rules will block access for the offending IP address for 5 minutes upon 5 failed login attempts over a 3 minute duration. If you would like to disable mod_security, you can do it as your own risk. Here is some further information and a full explanation for your reference:
If this does not working for you, we can add a domain in to the allow list of ModSecurity
December 29, 2014 at 8:40 pm in reply to: Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again #372796Which .htaccess file should I be deleting? There are a few in different directories.
December 29, 2014 at 7:25 pm in reply to: Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again #372757I’ve opened my .htaccess file in /wp-admin/ and the only text in the file reads:
<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>I’ve also updated permalinks, and added “define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);” to wp-config.php in the root directory. Have I edited the wrong .htaccess file, is there another location where wp-config.php is stored. I’m not sure what I’m missing, but the error persists.

I appreciate the quick response. All plugins are deactivated (it was the first thing I tried), but the problem remains.- This reply was modified 9 years, 11 months ago by dlvennie.
