Hello Jordan. I am good to go. Please close.
Thank you for your follow up.
Stay healthy.Maurice
This is not longer a pending issue. I took my most recent db backup and restored. There must have been a setting somewhere prior to a version update so everything is back to normal. With the Avia layout builder available, I can save the code edits prior to updating the page.
For some reason, I cannot get the classic editor option to show and when I am going to edit a published page, the editor places me on a shortcode editor page. Additionally, even when I try to edit code, it will not save; I can edit through this editor but when I update, and the update confirms saved, the page changes not update to the database. Never seen this before and I’m running other installs of the same theme and version.
I can’t get the Avia Layout Builder to show on the page edit.
I am running the latest 4.7.4 version.
Thanks.

Hi Ismael. If I have your static ip, I believe I can allow external access to mysql with that just as we would do if we need to have an api external to the server access the database. And yes, your suggestion to recreate the sliders from scratch is the best and the least time consuming for all of us. I became focused on this issue solely because I wanted to understand how it could happen in case it happened again. I think it was caused by an update which we have so many of between WP, Enfold and the layerslider plugin itself. It seemed like such a simple fix since I can see the data in the DB. If you have an ip, you can send to my email on account and I’ll see if I can get you access. Otherwise, I will just recreate the sliders from scratch as you suggested. I just have to do that in each of my Enfold installs so it will take a bit of time. Thanks again for your continued attention to this challenge Ismael.
Hi Ismael. Thanks for the reply. I don’t know how to grant access to the mysql database on this shared server. I can get you ftp credentials for the files but I’ve never created remote access to a db on one of these shared servers. This cpanel has a remote mysql option but it’s looking for a specific ip address for the inquiry origination.
I checked the enfold settings and the integrated layerslider plugin was already set to Activate bundled plugin.
Hello Ismael. I just installed this enfold theme 6 weeks ago and have kept it updated. I am surprised I am the only one having issues. What’s crazy is the data for the slider is in the layerslider table of the db and it should only be a matter of data connecting but I have tried everything. It was all working fine and I was able to edit my sliders up to about a week before I initiated this thread. I double checked to make sure my tokens are installed in the themes for my licensing and everything checks out. Is there anything that I can get to for access that will allow you to take a look? I thought I had sent credentials in a private message to Victoria at the beginning of this thread but I am happy to resend if that will help. There is only the one slider that I want to salvage so I don’t have to rebuild and it’s the one that displays on the home page.
Thank you Ismael for your reply. I went to both links and then went into mysql to review the wp_layerslider table. The group_id column was already there. The only thing I changed was the type to tinyint; the length/value was already set to 10 characters. Still, the sliders do not show up on the wp admin sliders page. Although the slider is working as an element of the page I tabled it into. Any thoughts? The sliders are in the database but just not answering the calls to the slider wp-admin page. If I create a new slider, it will show on the slider wp-admin page but the other existing sliders still do not show. Please advise. Thank you again.
Hi Victoria. I’ve placed a link in the private content. This is what I see on the sliders page for all my enfold/layer slider installs. I have a few installs and all of them are running sliders but no sliders show on the sliders page in wp admin of any of the sites. I checked the mysql db and I can see sliders in the layoutslider table. Now, if I create a new slider, it will show up on the wp admin slider page. But the sliders that I had already created after the install of the site, which used to show up a week or so ago, no longer show up on the wp admin sliders page.
Thank you Victoria. That worked well.
I was able to create; used the masonry grid and was very simple to create. I’d like to use this for bios, using the masonry grid of management photos with perhaps an onmouseover popup containing the brief bio info. Has anyone scripted for this before? Thanks.
