Hi Devin,
We tried that code but it doesn’t seem to help.
I understand why the issue is coming, but what I don’t understand is that if I put the anchor target (id) somwhere in the middle of the previous section from where I want it to land, it’s still landing after the title.
Could you explain this?
December 19, 2013 at 10:04 pm in reply to: !URGENT! # in-page links on main menu not working #202275Hi Devin,
I have uploaded screenshots of what I get when I click each of the links & pasted the link below. Please have a look & see if it’s the same thing you’re getting.
As you will see, the top & bottom links work differently from the ones in the middle as for the first link I have given the top of the page & the last link works differently because the scrolling stops when the browser reaches the bottom of the page
Looking forward to your response
Hi Devin,
Thanks for your detailed response. Yes, we had discussed this earlier but when I responded with an explanation, it wasn’t replied to.
I understand that the issue is due to the fact that we have a fixed menu when scrolling. However, we have taken that into account & pointed the # links to the the last element in the section before the one we want it to link to which is probably 100 px, but for some reason this hasn’t fixed the problem. Shouldn’t it?
No matter how much higher in pixels we put the ID, it still seems to link lower & cover the title.
Your thoughts?
Hi Ismael,
Did you get a chance to read through the old thread’s related to this?
The #links still work, but they don’t jump to the correct place on the page. The title which it should be showing becomes hidden behind the floating menu. This is only when coming from other pages. It works fine when already on the page
Let me know if you need further clarification
Hi Yigit,
We have updated the theme to the newest version but it still hasn’t been fixed. Could you take a look?
Thanks
Hey Yigit,
One more thing that # links are not working properly. After updating the theme also its not working.
when we click on same page it works fine, but when we click from other pages it wont work.
(eg: when we are in products page click Internal communications 2nd sub menu under solutions menu its goes to the particular section, but the heading of the internal communication is hiding back side the menu bar). It happens to all the sub menu # links.Please can you help me out on this?
Thanks
Hey Yigit,
Its working fine now.
Thank you
Hi Ismael,
Please can you help me in this ? It’s urgent .
thank you
Hi Ismael,
We don’t want to change the code because it’ll revert back when we update the theme. we have given custom CSS as
.header-scrolled #header_main .container, .main_menu div > ul > li > a{
height: 45px !important;
line-height: 45px !important;
}
.header-scrolled .main_menu {
padding-top: 0px;
}So any way to change in this code.
Hi Yigit,
I have updated the theme today, but the problem with the link is persisting.
Please do let me know what can be done now.
Thanks
Hi Devin,
I’ve already placed the anchor higher than the point I want it to jump to. Have given the last sentence of the previous section, etc, but it’s still coming below the title. For the support page, the reason it’s working is that the first link is to #top, which was predefined in the theme. The downloads works because it’s the bottom of the page and it can’t scroll any lower.
thanks
Hi there,
The site is http://disruptivevision.com
Send me your email ID if you’d like me to share the login details.
For the hover, there’s no way we can set it to stop showing when the visitor scrolls?
Cheers

Thanks
Problem is fixed. Trying your code now
September 27, 2013 at 7:17 am in reply to: !URGENT! # in-page links on main menu not working #167039Hi there,
I had set the large padding before and set it up but that didn’t work so tried removing the large padding and setting up a margin on top instead. I think best you login and see how it works on a test page. I’ve tried everything from my end
Right now we’re having some trouble with GoDaddy I believe because the wp admin is not working properly. Most of the time when you try to edit a page or visit widgets, etc, it shows no data received. Additionally, the elements of the avia page builder in the page editor are not loading properly.
Is that a hosting problem or a theme incompatibility or plugin issue? We’ve tried deactivating all unnecessary plugins but everything that’s active now was installed at the beginning and was working all the time so I’m thinking it’s a hosting problem
Yes, in the meantime, we’d tried using fixed height and width and manually setting the media query sizes but it’s not working very well. What do you suggest we do?
September 26, 2013 at 8:27 am in reply to: !URGENT! # in-page links on main menu not working #166486It’s unique, I’m pretty sure it’s setup correctly because when the target is on the same page as the current page, it works perfectly.
Hi Yigit, give me your email ID, i’ll send you the login info. Have sent it to Josue already.
Cheers

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately I’ve already tried something similar. I’ve targeted the div above the section divider, but unfortunately that still hasn’t fixed it, it’s still jumping below the section divider and the title.

Hi,
The code given for header is working great thanks, how ever we are having the trouble with the logo size now.
When we upload the logo in 343 width and 156 height it’s looking fine on the desktop but overlapping on the mobile. We uploaded a bunch of different sizes and found that 241 x 157 worked. The logo in the image is end to end horizontally but there is a lot of vertical space. This is ok but now the logo is too small, we tried increasing the width and expanding the logo in the image but that only seems to make the logo smaller.Please help out with this
Cheers
September 25, 2013 at 11:40 am in reply to: !URGENT! # in-page links on main menu not working #166014Hi Josue,
I still haven’t gotten a reply on this. I have sent the login details to the address requested.
The site launch was postponed but it’s going live today! Would really appreciate your help on this
CheersHi Josue,
Thanks for sending. I tried that code and it does the job but now when I scroll, the header doesn’t reduce and the logo doesn’t get smaller.
What I am looking for is to reduce the height of the header when at the top of the page but still have it contract further when scrolling.
Cheers
