Ha, works, fine, thanks
DickYeah great, thanks a lot. Works. Font sizes did not change now. I saw this effect before. Some fluke thing that happens sometimes, codes interfering or something.
yippee
DickHi thanks,
should work. Just tried myself.
Maybe you did not se the capital “J”?right:

thanksOK, yes, the bad logo is solved now.
I guess it is not possible to automaticaly share the pic I have specifically for this blog?
regardsYes, thanks, this helps. Now I can see which pic is taken to share in Fcebook.
please closeThanks again for your answer,
but it does not work.
What happens is that the textline stays where it is, but the font size of my menu ABOVE the pic gets smaller. This also happened with the earlier code by Sarah. But then I could not repair it by deleting the code. I had put back a back up for that.dick

Hi Sarah,

DickHi Rikard,
ok, thanks,
These are my settings:The image here is a jpg 18kb which looks great at the size the distorted facebook image.
What am I doing wrong?
regards
DickHi Rikard, thanks for getting back to me
My blog post looks like this:
When I post this on facebook using the F icon below the post, i get this:
This is also how it appears in facebook.
Now I have two questions,
1. How can I have the picture above the post ( the bycicle ) together with my blog on Facebook
2. If this is not possible, why do i get such a low resolution, cut off pic from my logo. For this question I made a separate question/log on this formum on which i did not get an answer. It is not clear where the system gets this bad picture from. I tried everything, setting in Yoast, tried differetn pics to upload in Yoast, changed my logo to try if its coming fro mthere, but also not. So where does the system take this pic from.
regards

Hi Yigit, thanks for your quick reply
I already have Yoast. I know I can set pictures there, but each blog will have another picture. This can be set with creating an new post. Is it not possible to send this picture with the blog post instead of a fixed logo?
regards
DickHi Andy, thanks for your quick reply
How do I do that? regenerate thumbnails, dont know what that is and how do I do a hard refresh?
tnxplease look at my settings, I tried to put other images in there and the facebook post picture does not change, so the image is comming from elsewhere. The text at the settings in Yoast says: If there is no image going with your post then the image which I entered will be sent. So there must be another setting somewhere else that gives this image with the. I even tried to change my logo to see if its coming from there but that is also not the case. So where does he get it from?
Dick

Hi,
I Updated to 4.0.5. But this blog post content element does not seem to work.
If I change settings, not much happens. The only thing I can change is the pic size. I want a small excerpt with a read more button.
thanks in advanceSee in privaet erea
thanks, solved
dickHi Vinay,
sorry, my father in law died, had to drop things for a while.
Just tried it and it works. thank youok.
On desktop the page looks like this:
On ( landscape) tablet it changes into this:
and on upright tablet and smartphone it snow this:
So: Caption and button in Full width easy slider element are ok o desktop, move to the left on tablet and move back to appr. the right place on smartphone thanks to your code.
What I want is the ( about) the same position for button and caption on tablet as on desktop.
thanks
DickHi thanks,
almost there, caption and button are not jumping on my face anymore. The only thing that goes wrong now is that when you decrease the window is size horizontaly, the caption and button are shifted to the left. The white caption text is unreadeble. the ewhite space is part of the picture. So the caption and button position shoud either be fixed on the desktop postition or shifted a bit to the right. Not too much, just enough to keep caption and button on the pic.
thanks
DickHi there,
what i see on landscape tablet is this:
I see this on a somewhat older Samsung tablet and on a brandnew chromebook.
When I squeze the image horizontal, the position of the button and caption jump to “on my face”.
I would like the caption and button on the wooden fence, but not on my face :-(
could you provide me with code for that?by the way thanks for the code to give the full button.
DickHi, aha yes, thats the danger of adding an issue to another issue. Yes, that helps for the menu, thanks a lot BUT NOT for the first problem:
About the caption and button for which you gave me code : I tried some things and found something, it depends on if the tablet is held in landscap or standing up.
With your code the caption and button are shifted to the right, but too much. In landscape nothing happens.
Please go to https://www.debeweging.info/over-dick-zirkzee-coaching/ and see what happens when you make the window smaller on thedesktop or laptop. At the start the button and caption are ok, when making the window smaller, the caption and button disappeat to the right ( tablet in landscape ), when making it even smaller, at the end the button and caption are too far to the right ( tablet upright).Hi Rikard,
I tried some things and found something, it depends on if the tablet is held in landscap or standing up.
With your code the caption and button are shifted to the right, but too much. In landscape nothing happens.
I also noticed that in the standing up position ( the other position then landscape, i’m not sure what word to use in english ) the menu is overlapping the logo.
It would be nice if the standing up version is the same as the landscape, so no responsiveness depending on position of the tablet. But the still the caption and button should be more to the right, but not covering “me” in the foto.
thanks
DickSorry,
doesn’t do anything
DickAh it works, Thanks. but i can also see whats going wrong.
On tablet the theme resizes the picture. And the right and left of the pic are white in order to have a good graphic balans on desktop. On tablet the caption and button are now partly on the white part. Can you give me code to move the caption and button to the right, ONLY on tablet? The caption and button are made in full width easy slider.
thanks in advanceDick
right, works, thanks
Sorry, didn;t do anything. To be sure: its about appearance on TABLET.
and maybe its important, the tagline and button are created in Full with easy slider and are supposed to be ON the picture. on desktop thats ok, on smartphone is covers the picture, bit thats a problem I will adress later.Hi, the first part, “Hide desktop” works. The second part doesn’t because there is no custom class field in the Easy slider. The text “De coach met Ervaring” is created in the Full width Easy slider as a Caption on the Photo. On Smartphone this Caption covers the photo.
So all I need now is a CSS code that : Does not show the caption “De Coach met Ervaring”in Full width Slider : on Smartphone.
Hi Nikko, ( or someone else)
I use this thred to adress some other things that go wrong on different media.1.On smartphone the tagline is so big it covers the photo. Its ok on desktop and tablet. Shall we do the same here? Create a text element that shows only shows on smartphone and leave the surrent situation on desktop and tablet? Can you provide code and tell me where to put it, or do it yourself like above?
2. On the page “Over Dick Zirkzee”, the tagline and button are also covering the photo on smartphone. Same solution? Can you provide code and tell me where to put it, or do it yourself like above?
3. In this case, the page “Over Dick Zirkzee” The tablet gives another strange effect , the button and tagline are shifted to the right . On desktop it is right.
thanks in advance
