The default was whatever custom setting you had in the demo that I imported.
I changes the Permalink setting from the custom one loaded by the demo to one of the standard settings and the problem went away.
If I use your “Use Classic Editor” option, the issue goes away. I have to edit the file and save it before I can see my content instead of the demo when I preview.
HOWEVER, I use Enfold with another site and it works fine with the Gutenberg editor. I’m not comfortable with rolling the editor back on an ongoing basis. So let’s figure out what the issue is.
What makes you think it has anything to do with browser caching? Incognito mode makes no difference.
Status? If we can’t make progress on this soon, it’s refund time.
If I install the Classic Editor plugin, the pink error goes away. Now, when I do a preview of my homepage (which was built by editing the demo), it loads (which it didn’t do before) but I don’t get the current content – I get the original demo content.
Deactivating plugins does not help.
How do I post images here?
BTW, when you click on the hamburger menu, the Search icon appears, using the hamburger color.
Site health shows “The REST API did not process the context query parameter correctly.”, which Google tells me is another symptom of this problem. There are various workarounds, but going back to the classic editor, disabling pretty permalinks, etc… are not desirable options.
After making suggested changes I can edit the header color, but I still get the “Updating failed” when I try to edit posts or pages.
