Thanks, Ismael – editing the wp-config.php as you suggested brought the functions.php editor back into my backend. Excellent!

The original issue, however, remains unresolved: Still no avatar images appearing here with bbpress on my installation. Any idea that could help?

    Thanks!

Editor should be under Appearance tab however it is missing on your installation. It might have been disabled in wp-config.php file. Please check the file to see if that is the case.

Yes, that was where I was looking for it but couldn’t find the functions.php..
Sorry, I wouldn’t know what to look for in the wp-config.php.
We have no caching plugin installed. Puzzled.
Could you help out here as well?

Thank you, Yigit. Your screens look fine indeed.
    Login in private content.

Once we’re at it a rather silly, unrelated question: Where in the WP backend can I edit the funtions.php? Just couldn’t find it..

    Thank you, Mike!
    (Closed topic from my side.)

Thanks, Victoria – but even after spending 3 hrs on that, I did not get anywhere.

    1) As suggested in the support post you were linking, I installed https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
    2) There, I redefined my “masonry” size to 856 x 528 px, which is the size and proportion I have here on my screen. Ticked “no cropping”
    3) I edited my image uploaded it to the library in that very size and proportion and set it as “featured image” in the respective post.

Still, the image is getting cropped on the homepage using ““full-width masonry line”.
    What did I do wrong?

    Cheers, Jens

    Thanks, Mike!

I followed the direction in your first paragraph

to not load jQuery in the footer at Enfold Theme Options > Performance > Load jQuery in your footer, if you are going to use the “a3 Lazy Load” plugin you should disable the Enfold Theme Options > Performance > Lazy Loading option

    Works fine now.
Any reason to “merge & compress” and “delete old CSS and JS” yet?

Commenting on my own request: I have “natural scrolling” activated in MacOS and the rendering animations activate in an upside-down manner. Likely a connection. Cannot test with another device here.
