Hi!
The font rendering issue is either a javascript conflict with an active plugin or an issue with the browser. The font loading is handled by google fonts and the theme really doesn’t do anything other than let the user select which one they want to use and then load in the font from googles own servers.
I know recently Chrome had issues loading their own Google Fonts though it was supposed to have been fixed.
As for editing the header you can add the header.php to your child theme to edit it directly or the includies>helper-main-menu.php file if you want to add the content within the menu/logo area directly (also copying it to your child theme).
Best regards,
DevinHi vonweiler!
Yes this is the correct behavior for IE8. IE8 is not a modern browser and so it does not support the modern code needed to use the new css like media queries or border radius (rounded edges) and even proper font rendering.
Cheers!
DevinHi DavyE!
The blank template is the only thing close to that and already does only load the minimal css/js needed.
Regards,
DevinCheck your functions.php file for any function with that function in it as well as any plugins that might be setup to add more content to the checkout or other WooCommerce pages.
Hi LecheLMP!
I’m not sure what you mean from looking at the site and your description. The image sizes in the theme didn’t change with any of the last updates and the only image size that has a 710px edge is:
$avia_config['imgSize']['entry_with_sidebar'] = array('width'=>710, 'height'=>270); // big images for blog and page entries
Which is for the blog entries with a sidebar. They are default set to have a height of 270 by that line in the functions.php and has been since release.
Regards,
DevinHey islandjoe1!
When you change the footer widget column count you will probably need to go in to the Appearance>Widgets and re-organize the widgets in your sidebars. When a sidebar area gets deleted or added in with WordPress it can cause an odd issue where the widgets get shifted around from one sidebar/widget area to another.
Regards,
DevinHey!
Unfortunately final site optimization is not something that we can really walk you through from support. There are an almost infinite number of changes, tweaks and modifications you can do to your site, server, file setup, caching, minifying etc and its up to the individual user how best to handle them.
If you need or want additional assistance with general speed optimization you can hire a freelance developer from somewhere like Codeable or Envato Studio and they will be able to help with getting things optimized for your setup.
Cheers!
DevinHi charmenoir!
Can we see the site with the issues live?
Cheers!
DevinI’m not sure about the toggle animation. It seems like its only one way as you’ve noticed but I’m not familiar enough with it to say if its editable or not.
I’ve tagged the topic for Peter as he might be able to shed some light on the issue.
May 19, 2014 at 4:45 pm in reply to: Empty tags being added after s in the text builder widget #266832Ah, I usually call them ALB(Avia Layout Builder) elements. Can we see a link to a page with what is getting output? Also try, if you can, to do a secondary install with the default theme and see if the same thing happens there.
May 18, 2014 at 6:29 am in reply to: i want to latest dummy data.xml file or quickinstall.zip file #266244Hey!
Not with anything built into the theme but there is probably a plugin in the WordPress.org repository that will have something like that.
Best regards,
DevinHi ggerber!
The forums here on kriesi.at are unfortunately very very customized and are not achievable with the built in theme options or even just with bbPress options.
Enfold styles bbPress to look like this: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/forums/
Here is the official bbPress documentation for any other setup questions you have with using that plugin: http://codex.bbpress.org/

DevinMay 17, 2014 at 9:20 pm in reply to: I am having a problem adding self-hosted video to our site. #266190Sound on color sections is a no. The mp4 issue seems like its a permissions issue if you aren’t able to access it by the url directly. In that case simply changing the server permissions is the route to try and fix the issue. Your hosting provider will be able to walk you through it using the server panel or via FTP if you have that set up and accessible.
Hey!
No, unfortunately not. The grid inside the main container would still be limited to its defined pixel width. So you would need to go through and change the grid.css file to use percentages or regenerate the file from the themes less files. That should work for any modern browser but I don’t think it will carry over any of the IE8 tweaks.
Best regards,
DevinHi jeroenberings!
Since they were just added in you’ll need to re-scan the theme files to get the new strings to show in your file.
Best regards,
DevinAnd then to change which fonts are used by default for elements you’ll need: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/change-icon-used-for-standard-theme-elements/
How about a video walkthrough?
Hi!
Where on the site can we see an example of what is happening? The /?=s is what will show before a search result which is the expected behavior when WordPress searches but looking at the site content I don’t see anything like that showing in regular links.
Cheers!
DevinHey Pascal!
The LayerSlider plugin has its own video settings for each slider. Go to the Slider Settings>video.
Cheers!
DevinHi bizguru!
The demo data is as close as we have for the theme demo but anything else can be re-created with ease using the themes tools and following the videos and documentation here:
http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/
https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemesThe only thing I know of for sure that is not included with the demo is some of the images since Kriesi doesn’t have the rights to re-distribute those.

DevinMay 16, 2014 at 3:09 pm in reply to: Portfolio page wont link to other pages in the top nav except home link-Parallax #265831Hey Marketingnetwork!
You would need to change the top links to have actual urls instead of just the anchors. Ex: yoursite.com/#section
Regards,
DevinHi AsadIC!
Since the enque function is pointing to the parent location you’ll first need to dequeue and then enque your own version. See: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/use-avia-js-in-child-theme/#post-230498
Just keep an eye on the change log when the theme updates since Kriesi often updates avia.js and you’ll need to update your child theme version as well if that does happen.
Regards,
DevinHi sundialstudios!
I don’t think the theme does anything with those elements so you could re-order them using the normal WooCommerce hooks.
Best regards,
DevinHey jenki!
As far as I know when you order posts its always going to be ordering *all* of them. You can do things like ascending/descending within a page but not a specific category alone as far as I know.
Regards,
DevinHi!
Your version of the theme needs to be updated so that it includes the newest bug fixes. There have been quite a few updates to help with the video implementation since 2.5.4 and updating should bring everything up to date and working.

DevinMay 16, 2014 at 2:32 am in reply to: Using Multible Thumnail Plugin to show different thumnail on home-page #265647Hi!
As a quick aside for any future posts our queue goes by oldest post first so each time you self bump it actually pushes your topic to the end of our queue which we only ever check for big bug trends or emergencies.
As for your question/issue, can you explain a bit more what you are trying to do and what you’ve tried editing so far.
Cheers!
DevinHey esesolutions!
The theme doesn’t use images for any icons and instead uses an icon font. Though I believe the source does have a psd/pdf version available: http://www.entypo.com/
Cheers!
DevinMay 15, 2014 at 5:02 pm in reply to: WordPress SEO (Yoast) & Theme Updates – Too Many Redirects #265370Hi!
If you are still having the issue can we take a look at your theme settings/admin? You can reply here with the credentials and mark the reply as private.
Best regards,
DevinHey!
I believe this was fixed in the last bug fix release. Try updating your theme files and let us know via a new topic if you are still having any issues and link to the page where we can take a look again.
Best regards,
DevinHi!
If anyone is still having issues first try updating to 2.7 and let us know through a new topic at that point if its still happening. As far as I know it has been fixed for everyone who is up to date :)
