August 20, 2014 at 1:47 am in reply to: 2.9.1 version Enfold crash iPad browser, need older version #306572
Hi clecocq!
We don’t have the ability to provide older versions of the theme unfortunately.
What content do you have on the site/page where the iPad is crashing? Have you tried removing any elements on the page or adjusting any settings?
Best regards,
DevinThanks for the heads up! I’ve fixed it in the OP :)
I don’t think it would have anything to do with htaccess settings/data and instead purely browser based because of the list of images (maybe).
As for why the others couldn’t see the page I have no clue. They didn’t either and asked for everyone else to check the site on our internal discussion board.
August 20, 2014 at 1:40 am in reply to: Avia Layout Builder – Add new Custom Post type – with predefined template #306568Hi HuxburyQuinn!
I’m not sure about this one. Right now all the auto setup is handled by importing in xml data via the WordPress import so there isn’t a mechanism like the above in place.
There are some changes coming in 3.0 to allow for backend importing of specific layouts/setups but its still manual and the page template/setup/data is handled in the external file.
My general guess is that there would still need to be some manual recognition of a new cpt and its setup or at least a function written to trigger them being added when you add in the cpt.

August 19, 2014 at 7:27 pm in reply to: Google Webmaster Tools Warning Email: Stop redirecting smartphone users #306485That shouldn’t cause the redirect so there must still be something else in place either server side or from a plugin setting. I’ve never had the issue or come across it so I’m not sure where to possibly direct you in this case.
Hey!
Since you made a second topic I added a response to the emergency one already: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/emergency-your-code-fix-moved-my-main-menu-on-live-site-please-help/#post-306480
Make sure to paste in the css as plain text when adding it into the Quick CSS box.

DevinAugust 19, 2014 at 7:25 pm in reply to: EMERGENCY: YOUR CODE FIX MOVED MY MAIN MENU on LIVE SITE-Please help! #306482Hi Jojo_W!
Those two lines of css will only effect the page with an ID of 4529 unless you added it in incorrectly. What it looks like you’ve done is copied and pasted in the css with hidden characters included instead of plain text.
So remove the following:
#header_meta, .sub_menu { font-size: 12px; color:black !important } #top .social_bookmarks li a{ font-size:20px; } div .avia-menu-fx { height: 5px; } a.slide-image { background: transparent!important; }
and then paste it back in as plain text only. You can see what I mean by copying out the css you have and pasting it into Notepad or any other plain text only application. Here is the same thing but with the hidden characters removed:
#header_meta, .sub_menu { font-size: 12px; color:black !important} #top .social_bookmarks li a{ font-size:20px; } div .avia-menu-fx {height: 5px;} a.slide-image { background: transparent!important;}
Cheers!
DevinAugust 19, 2014 at 4:52 pm in reply to: Custom sticky footer navigation isn't displaying properly #306420Hi!
Without being able to inspect the site live there isn’t anyway for us to really debug the page unfortunately. In general we don’t support custom scripts/styles/html since it isn’t our code but when we are able to take a look easily we will dig through a bit to see if we can help.
If you can get the example only we will try and see if we can assist here.
Regards,
DevinThere is absolutely no way we could offer any input on an individual site ranking. I know that doesn’t leave you with anywhere to turn to try and find out but its way out of what we would even have any experience in covering.
Hi Denis!
As far as I know no. It isn’t something we would probably ever support.
Regards,
DevinHi traductio!
As far as I know w3c validation has no effect on SEO. By being more compatible with browsers you will not have valid code often times and in the case of Enfold there are cases that will never validate because of this.
In general though it will have no effect on your google rank. Yoast has a post on the issue as well: https://yoast.com/w3c-validation-seo/
The gist is write clean code, fix major errors which Kriesi always does :)
Best regards,
DevinHi webethique!
I’m not quite sure what you mean is happening. Can you walk me through the steps and then what the error is after the actions?
Regards,
DevinHey rjdougan!
2.9.1 was a almost immediate bug fix release and the changes are in the version.txt that comes in the full package download you can download on ThemeForest:
2014 July 9th - Version 2.9.1 - style.css - new version number - folder js: fixed a bug that prevented modern browser from using hardware accelerated animations
Cheers!
Devin@Viramedia – I think what Ismael posted might be what you are looking for. Make sure to add it in and give it a try.
Unfortunately with the way WordPress search works that page has his name as part of the portfolio custom post type query so it isn’t really a part of that pages content.
If his name was on the page itself it would come up in the search results but since it isn’t, the single portfolio item for him does.
Hi JDavidMcGregor1!
Try following the steps on this video to install the theme: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/
Regards,
DevinHi!
I’m not having any issues loading the page but I’m only getting the normal slight change in location of the page when the orientation changes. I don’t know of a way to force it to stay in the same place unfortunately.
Regards,
DevinHey Cloudspace!
Where is the shortcode attempting to be added that it isn’t coming up?
Regards,
DevinAugust 18, 2014 at 10:48 pm in reply to: New to Enfold, unable to get any slide shows to work #306021The theme is fully compatible with 3.9.2 and the error you are getting is a server side error dealing with a specific library php is trying to use (PCRE it seems).
August 18, 2014 at 10:44 pm in reply to: Google Webmaster Tools Warning Email: Stop redirecting smartphone users #306019It could even be an htaccess file addition but that is typically not user added without the user knowing or maybe server side. So you could check into both of those but the themes responsive behavior doesn’t include any redirects at any point.
Hi SphereEvenements!
You don’t need to have title contents for the columns. There is a bit of text on the first tier of menu down from a mega menu that tells you how to hide the column title:
So add a dash instead of text and it will hide the title :)
Best regards,
DevinI’m sorry but that isn’t the way it works as I’ve tried to explain. If you want it to work any other way you would need to use a different slideshow or have a freelance developer customize the current implementation for you.
Every single users screen is a different size. To make the video background show on every single users screen as a full size, full screen element it needs to stretch beyond the edges of the screen.
On my monitor for instance I see the video so that its stretched and full screen and to do this it MUST also hide part of the video:
Site: https://www.clipular.com/c/4655799901093888.png?k=damoVQbTuEUwqIeW8FCD5qVW2xU
Direct video link: https://www.clipular.com/c/5553864744894464.png?k=hKc1E4uDzfA_2uLoi-R83oq9ytY
If you want to show the video with black bars on the sides so that its scaled and not fullscreen you would need to use another slideshow. The fullscreen slider must hide parts of the video so that its fullscreen for all users.
You can use a regular video added into a page with a non fullscreen slideshow option and it will play like ‘normal’ but in this instance Kriesi has it setup in this way so its always fullscreen.
August 18, 2014 at 7:17 pm in reply to: Google Webmaster Tools Warning Email: Stop redirecting smartphone users #305925Hey charger70!
The theme doesn’t have any settings or options to do that so it would be coming from a plugin. Which one however we wouldn’t be able to say unfortunately so you’ll need to go through each of yours that are installed and see if any have settings for redirection.
Best regards,
DevinHi bethiebfit!
The contact form doesn’t have that kind of capability so you would need to either custom code something or use a third party plugin which could both send out a contact form and add a subscription.
Cheers!
DevinNo, you would not be able to remove it.
It depends on how the hosting environment is set up. They might be able easily change the root path for you so it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
If at any point things happen where you can’t add content again let us know ASAP and we’ll take a look again. It definitely shouldn’t ever happen and I know sometimes its easier to circumvent finding the cause of a problem and go right to the end solution of getting a working site so I understand you re-starting at this point.
Hi susannaholt!
These are public forums so I’ve edited out your purchase code.
You will need to use the contact form here to get in touch with Kriesi for alternative account creation: http://kriesi.at/contact
