  • Andy, I suspect you think I’m very inconvenient…I’m sorry but I tried everything…I also installed a Facebook-plugin to compare and I got the same problem…
In which browser you are viewing the site and on which device?
It looks allright on my side too, but not on devices from many others ;-(
And when someone views the site for the first time, it cannot be just a cache-problem? Or is this a stupid remark?

I recently updated the Enfold Child theme and hoped this was the solution but no…
Earlier I was wondering if it is possible that it has to do with installing a SSL-certificate on the site
Because Google is my best friend….I found this remark on a forum..
Updates WordPress goes through a http -connection and WP- themes through https…

Another site I made, http://www.figuura.nl, has the same Facebook-widget, but no SSL-certificate and this works just fine.
    Can this be the problem?

    Hi Andy,

I don’t have any issues on mu macbook and iPhone, but others on their devices (not Apple).
And our iPads (2 and the newest) don’t show the likebox, also on my partners iPhone 6s it doesn’t show.
Maybe its like you say, a cache problem, but can you inform me how to clear a browser on a tablet and a smartphone? And is it possible to do a hard refresh on a tablet or on a smartphone? I cannot find this on the net.

I just checked the site in Screenfly and on that platform I didn’t see any issues either.

    Best regards,
    Gertrud

    Hello Vinay,

Thanks for your reaction. What I like to achieve is to see the Facebook like-box on all screens and all browsers.
I learned today from a friend; its visible on Samsung Android, not on Firefox, not on his iPad and not on his iPhone. I find this really strange, because I can see it on my iPhone (6) but it does not show on my partners iPhone (6s), both in the safari-app. When I look it up in Google on my iPhone it isn’t visible either ;-(

Is it possible that it has to do with installing a SSL-certificate on the site?

    Best regards,
    Gertrud

in reply to: Tried to update Enfold in WP #618779

I found out that there was a plug-in installed that blocked theme-updates. The solution was to remove this and the theme-update became visible. After this update the bug was ‘killed’ and I became happy again ;-)
