Hello, thank you for getting back to us.
We did not add any code to regenerate thumbnails. However, after applying the code and testing with new image upload, we received 17 new images again, which means we couldn’t accomplish what we wanted. We are testing a few new options now. We will apply the function you suggest above and see what will happen.
Any other advices and suggestions are welcome.

Thank you for the information. For some of the websites, (hosted in GoDaddy) disabling file compression seems to work. For websites hosted in WP Engine, disabling compression did not work. WP Engine have their own cache policy, and we have no control over turning it off/on.
Any other suggestions?

We have provided information to access the website.
We did some research as well. One of the plugins Smush has a lazy load option that when is ON the Easy/Full width slider issue appears. When we turn the lazy load OFF in the Smush plugin, everything seems to work normal. Currently the lazy loading in Smush is ON, so you can experience the issue.
