Hi Jordan,
I wanna just an general css-snippet, so that I be able to change the font
and color any time as I like. Or is that not possible?Right now I want the Google-font “Montserrat” and this orange-tone: #f07c00
I’m looking forward to your new answer.
Bon Weekend
CarstenHi Jordan,
thx for your fast reply!
Your snippets are ok, but please look again at my screenshot.
I also want to change the font himself and his color. Your
snippet only change the size. And I want that every field becomes the color red if it’s not filled
out. Not only the captcha-field. I speak about the validation-error-
signal. For example, if you say that you have to fill out name-field,
mail-adress-field and text-field, I want that every field becomes
red which is not filled out. After the user filled out, the field switch
back to the normal color. You understand what I mean, do you?
Hope so. :-)Best regards

thx again for your super fast reply! And again – the snippet works great! :)
I understand what you’re saying, and I usually do what you say. But please,
let the thread still a little bit open until I have spoken with my customer,
thank you! I’ll be back soon.Best regards

But now I’ll remember this next time – hopefully! ;-)So, just “one” little request is left. ;-) (Reply #1133881)
Have a nice weekend and I’m looking forward again to hear from you.

thx for your answer! And – good things take time! ;-)
Now everything looks great…also letter-spacing! Thanks a lot!
And if I wanna change the letter-spacing subsequently I see
where I can do that. :-)Ok, now we come to my other requests. Sorry, I know it’s a
lot but we come right now to the finishing straight. :-)Request 1:

You still can’t see the blog-page if you don’t loged-in

the point. ;-/

I have a further request, but of course the other questions comming first. ;-)
I wanna change also a little bit the commentary-function. Please take a look on
the screenshot. I think you’ll understand immediately. :-)Best regards
CarstenSeptember 1, 2019 at 8:52 pm in reply to: Create a Blog for the first time! Some questions… #1132724Good evening Mike,
thx for your new code! It works fine, but sorry – not perfect. Take a look again
by yourself. The multiply-effect is gone but the categorys, date and commen-
tarys are still shown two times. And: for better reading I need a liittle bit more letter-spacing.
Would you please so kind and tell me where in the code I add the command? And: you still can’t see the blog-page if you don’t loged-in
in the backend.I’m looking forward to your new answer.

Hi Mike,
here comes the login-data. :) Thx for your help!
And I must appologize, because you already told me,
how I get the commentary-function on an single-blog-entry.
Now I know it too and I already implemented it. So, only the
other questions are still there to answer. :)Best regards
CarstenHi again Mike,
short update for the pps:
I discovered that the blog-page is always shown up if you’re loged in the backend…no matter
which Browser you use. If you’re not loged-in than the blog-page is not found. So, it seems
to me that it must be a settings-problem in the backend/theme but I didn’t find it until now. ;-/
Hopefully you know where you have to look! ;)Best regards

Hi Mike,
I removed the code above and after this I didn’t do nothing else, as you told me.
So, I hope it helps.Best regards
CarstenHi Mike,
thx very much – the code works great! :-) But for better reading the words I need
a liittle bit more letter-spacing. Would you please so kind and tell me where in the
code I add the command? I tried it by myself but I failed. ;-)And what I also need to know is where must I activate the commentary-function
for a single-blog-entry? Until now I couldn’t find it. I tried many buttons and
also the footer-function, but nothing worked. ;-/ So, where is the correct button? And thx again for your great help! I’m looking forward again to hear from you.
Best wishes
CarstenPS: After I added a second blog-entry a new problem appeared. Please take a
look at the page and you’ll see. Every element (lines, categorys and date/commentarys)
is showed twice. That can’t be normal. Ok, I see…with every new entry the mistake
multiplies…hmm…very strange. :-/ Look at the new screenshot if you can’t see the page.PPS: Sorry, but in the meanwhile I noticed a further little problem. The blog-page is
only shown in Safari at the moment. In every other browser (FF/Vivaldi/Opera) the
blog-page is not found. ;-/ I just called my provider but he must look also more detailed
on the problem. Do you have any explanation for that phenomenon?- This reply was modified 5 years, 3 months ago by designbasis.
Hi Mike,
four-times-sorry for my super late reply! And of course thx for your new answer!
And again a big sorry – I think my screenshot was not precise enough. ;-/ Please
take a further look to the new one. I hope now it is clearer for you what I wanna
do exactly. Note – you have to scroll a little bit down because I did a full-page-
screenshot. And yes, I changed again the position of date and commentary be-
cause I think this position is better. ;-)Everthing else works fine…thx for the button-snippet!
I’m looking forward to hear from you again.
Best wishes

Hi Victoria,
thx for your new reply! Aaah…of course, that’s the explanation.
Just easy if you know it! :-) With a little logical thinking, I could
have figured it out for myself, couldn’t I?Many thx again and see you soon…have a nice week!
Best regards
CarstenHi Victoria,
thx for your fast reply! Your snippet works very fine! But… ;-)
Please take a further look on the new screenshot. Why is
the one distance smaller than the others? It’s only at one box.Thx for your further help!

thx once again for your reply!
Funny…now it works here, too! ;-) But before it didn’t work…honestly!
And you really did nothing? Because I also didn’t do nothing after
I’ve written you. These kind of strange and undefinably things I name
everytime: “digital hiccup” ;-)And yes – the white text in a gray container is ok…no problem!
So, the problem solved itself…very nice! Why can’t it be like this everytime? :-))

CarstenAugust 7, 2019 at 1:46 pm in reply to: Button-Prob / Background-Colour doesn't change by hover #1125524Hi Ismael,
thx for your new reply!
Yes, it is a slider-container but with only one image. That’s the reason why you
don’t see any image-rotation. ;-)My customer had recently another wish so I solved the problem on another way.
And thus the problem is gone for the moment. But the next is definitely waiting
around the corner. So…see you soon… ;-)Best regards
CarstenHi Ismael,
thx for your reply and sorry for my late.
Yeah, pretty good machine…right! I like it a lot! :-) Ok…I can understand your
argument because the most customers are building websites with less
content per page. At the moment I’m still in the draft-phase with the site. I
presume in the future I will update the site quarterly.Thank you for the link-tip…basically I know quiet good how I must optimize
images and I also know a few good plugins but you never stop learning, do you? :-)
And as I said before…I will talk to my customer.Thx again and have a good start in the new week.

CarstenAugust 4, 2019 at 7:46 pm in reply to: Button-Prob / Background-Colour doesn't change by hover #1124576Hi again Rikard,
I mean the two orange buttons which are intergrated in the slide-show on the top of the site.
They react on the “advanced stylings” but not on your code-snippet.The back-button on the other page react on your code-snippet and on the “advanced stylings”.
So I thought that concerns to all buttons of the site. ;-)And now what is here the solution?
Best regards
CarstenGood Evening Rikard,
are you currently my personal supporter? ;-) Or is Mike just on vacation?
Thx for your reply!Yes, you gave me this snippet. On this page I also want the button react. (top and bottom)
How I have to correct the snippet correctly?Hope Mike is not on vacation and can help me with my other open questions.
Or maybe also you too? That would be nice! :-)Nice evening and I’m looking forward to your new answer(s).

Carsten- This reply was modified 5 years, 4 months ago by designbasis.
…and please take a look on the link in the private content…it is the draft of the full single-entry-page.
I putted this code in my css from another customer site:
——————————————————————
.page-id-900 .avia-button-right a.avia-button:hover {
background: rgba(204, 204, 204, 1) !important;
}
——————————————————————
Why isn’t that code working on this page, too? I think it depend on the class of the page (.page-id-900).
Am I right? Which class must here standing?Best regards

Hi Mike,
I’m back on my blog-experiment and we can go on with my questions…are you ready? :-)
Your last code-snippets work very well…thank you! So far so good, but unfortunately you didn’t
answer not all of my questions. ;-) So please…would you be so kind and take a further look on
my first screenshot…and than you’ll see what is missing…thx a lot!Best regards

CarstenAugust 2, 2019 at 3:07 pm in reply to: Button-Prob / Background-Colour doesn't change by hover #1124191Hi Rikard,
thx again for your promptly reply!
Ok…understand! I activated that option as you written.
And how I’m do it to add my own class to the element now?
For exmple, what I have to write instead of “.my-custom-button”?And could you please so kind an help me still also with my the second question:
———————————————————————————
I have further buttons on the startpage in a “fullscreen-slider”
but on these ones the code-snippet have no effect…why?
I think, it has to do with the slider-container, right? But the set-
tings of the advanced stylings have effect on it…why is that so?

Have a nice weekend and I’m happy to hear from you again.Best regards

CarstenAugust 1, 2019 at 2:57 pm in reply to: Button-Prob / Background-Colour doesn't change by hover #1123917Hi Rikard,
thank you for your help…your snippet works very well! :-)
I always thought that the code-snippets in the documentation
are universal, but now it seems to me that they’re not. What
does “class” means…I think classifying, right? What will I have
to look out for in the future when I read the documentary?I have further buttons on the startpage in a “fullscreen-slider”
but on these ones the code-snippet have no effect…why?
I think, it has to do with the slider-container, right? But the set-

CarstenHi Ismael,
thx for your reply!
I will try your suggestion very soon if I have the possibility to check it at a another pc.
But I can say that my “mac mini” is a quit good pc. He has 16 GB RAM and a fast
Samsung SSD. The Processor is an 2,6 GHz Intel Core i7. Ok, it’s not the newest one
but he’s still a very good computer. I’m looking forward to work with PHP 7.3. The
wp-info-page says that with it the work goes up 3 or 4 times faster. So, I’m very curios
to see it! What I definitely can say is that the other pages (of course with less content)
are not so sluggish. I repeat – only with the startpage I’ve got these problems.I really would like to know how many content is possible on one enfold-page? I know
it’s very difficult to say but maybe you have an vaguely estimate? Or is here only “try
and error” the way to find out? ;-/I know that the startpage is quiet long but it is still a “one-pager-layout”…so it is/have to
allowed too be a little bit longer than other sites. ;-) But I will talk with my customer to
reorganize the page in the very near future. Thx also for the link-tipps!In advance thank you for your new support…hope you’re all fine!

CarstenHi Rikard,
short info – I have solved the problem by myself! When I look at the solution, I
wonder something that you didn’t think of. I cleaned up the database with
“wp-sweep” and then I immediately came back to the start page. In retrospect,
this had to be the logical conclusion, or don’t you think?Of course, you don’t always find the solution immediately, but I would have wished that
the “database cleanup” had at least appeared in your considerations. Well then. . .
hopefully next time. In any case, I have now learned that “cleaning up the database”
is very important! All right, let’s just forget about it and end well, all good, shall we? In the end, I am glad
that the problem was so easy to solve. But one thing hasn’t changed – the editing of the start page remains sluggish and tough!
Which leads me back to the question – how big is the memory-hunger of the Enfold theme?I also read a quite interesting documentary about the PHP memory topic.
It’s in german, but you can certainly translate it for yourself. There it is recommended
to upgrade to PHP 7. 3. . . have you already had some experience with it?Best regards
Carsten- This reply was modified 5 years, 4 months ago by designbasis.
Hi Rikard,
thx for your new reply.
First…It is nice that you be honest, but to be honest – that is what I expect basically
from a supporter! ;-)For the moment the upgrade of my customer webpackage is the “last“ option, so
first we have to look and hopefully find an alternative solution. As I said before
currently it is not possible to acces the page in the backend. So I’m not able to remove
things from it. And only one plugin is active (“hide my site“). And also if I deactivate
this too it doesn’t help. I think the last alternative option is to go directly into the database
and delete there. But this is a job for you because you’re the professional! Ok, can we do this?
Of course I’ve got a backup…from the whole site and of the database. Before you start with
that It would be nice if we can coordinate us which things will be deleted. My provider said that the enfold-theme is known as an “memory-consuming theme”. Would
you agree with that opinion? I mean the proof for that opinion is my current page-problem.
The question is: how many content is allowed on a normal enfold-page? I started to build my
one-pager with your demo “One Page Agency Demo”. Have I really so much more content
on my site than you on your demo-site? A plugin-problem is vastly improbable because at the
moment I have only one plugin active…as I said before…I really need answers to that questions because I have to explain that to my customer! Is the
page-length of an one-pager-layout always dependent on the php-memory-limit or are there
also other reasons? Which content is the “causer” on my startpage? Or is it the whole content? As I said before I use your “one-pager-demo”. After the installation I started with editing of course
on the startpage and I’m quiet sure that the page wasn’t slow and sluggish. So I really wonder
why my page got so slow and sluggish? It might there is another further problem, don’t you think so?For the moment up to here…it would be very nice if I hear soon from you…thx!
Best regards
