Hi Victoria,
thx for your new reply and snippet!
I’m sorry to say, but nothing changed with the new snippet. ;-/So, I need your further help…thank you!
Best regards
CarstenPS: I let the snippet in the Quick CSS Box.
March 9, 2020 at 1:42 pm in reply to: Contact form / How do I change the colour of the fieldnames? #1191520Hi Mike,
thx for your reply and the new snippet – it runs perfect! Thank you again! :-)
Little further question – how many css-snippets are ok for the “Quick CSS Field”
and how many are to much? The info-text besides the quick-css-field says,
that you better put only a few snippets in and for bigger changes you should
better use the custom.css. So again – when do I know when it is enough? :-)Best regards
CarstenMarch 8, 2020 at 5:26 pm in reply to: Burger/Mobile submenu links / How can I add a further colour for the… #1191280Hi Günther,
ok, also doch „deutschsprachig“…fein :-) Hatte Dir nämlich auf Dein erstes Feedback
ganze Weile dauern. ;-)Beste Sonntagsgrüße

thx for your new reply and infos!
Sorry, but for this project it’s not possible to make the site public, because
it is a very special customer. I’m not allowed, so to speak. ;-/ But again,
thank you very much for your support…that’s very kind from you! And because
of your nick-name I thought you’re german, but you’re not, don’t you? :-)
Anyway…Of course I tried your new snippet, but it is not working…sorry! So, dear Enfold-
Team…the ball is back to you again. ;-)Best regards

thx for your answer and new snippet! But unfortunately it’s not working.
Is there maybe/hopefully another way?Best regards
CarstenMarch 7, 2020 at 4:13 pm in reply to: Menu-Overlay / How can I change the position of the navi-arrows? #1191124Hi Victoria,
thx for your reply and your solution! It works fine, but not perfectly. ;-)
Now, the arrows are on the left side, but still on the side and to far
away from the navigation-links. Please, take another look on the
screenshot. I want the arrows right beside the navigation-links! Is
that possible? Thx for your further help!Best regards
CarstenMarch 7, 2020 at 4:00 pm in reply to: Contact form / How do I change the colour of the fieldnames?
ran. ;-) Aber nochmals Danke für Deine Unterstützung!Beste Grüße

Hello Günther,
thanks for your superfast reaction and link tips!
You could not see my screenshot now, but
your example link shows it as well! Okay, so there are
the placeholders… oftentimes you don’t know the exact-
drawing in english. ;-)Well then… I have looked at your tip page and
read through. Then I talked to the snippets
I tried, but I didn’t get anywhere. I’ve tried…
sure that it can be done with Enfold’s onboard
resources, since I have done it several times
in the past, but I just can’t remember which snippet,
or which setting in the preferences it was. I’m
just about to create a sorted archive for me, so
to keep an overview. ;-)As I said, I’m unfortunately not on the CSS trick page
got ahead. The author writes there himself, that it
doesn’t work everywhere and he doesn’t have guarantees
gives. ;-) Anyway … then the Enfold team has to do it
again ran. ;-) But thanks again for your support!Best regards

March 5, 2020 at 5:50 pm in reply to: New Instagram-Icon-Hover / How can I change the colour? #1190513Hi Jordan,
thx for your fast reply! I thought this question is so easy, that you don’t need
a look to the site. ;-) Ok…no problem…see in private content…
You’ll find the icon in the header-navigation on the right.Best regards
CarstenFebruary 16, 2020 at 5:47 pm in reply to: Download-Button password-protected. How can I do this? #1184989Hi Rikard,
thx for your fast reply!
Yes, I know…one complete page ist easy to protect. ;-) But my customer only would like
to protect the download-buttons or as you said – only the link. So, it seems that I have
to look for an plugin, don’t I ? :-) Or I link the links to a subpage, which I protect complete.
Maybe that is an alternative. But please, take my question as an suggestion for a next
upgrade of enfold…that would be nice! And I think, that I’m not the only one, which would
be happy about this. :-) And if you do think of something, I would be happy to receive
your feedback!Have still a nice sunday…also the whole team.

CarstenDecember 17, 2019 at 8:24 pm in reply to: Burger-menu-problem in mobile view: the word „menü“ is too near to the logo! #1167011Hi Yigit,
thank you for your superfast reply! :)
Wow, on this example we can see, how comprehensive and complicated
the interaction between WP and Enfold is, isn’ it? In germany we say to
that:”every day a new sow is driven through the village!” ;)Aah, I see…I figured that’s why the icons didn’t show up. But with your
snippet they’re there again…great!For the moment I think we’re finshed…thank you very much again to all
of you!! See you soon… :)Best regards
CarstenDecember 16, 2019 at 10:32 pm in reply to: Burger-menu-problem in mobile view: the word „menü“ is too near to the logo! #1166595Hi Yigit,
thx for your new reply and the information! And thx also for your offer,
but I did replace the php-file already. :) And – it works…yippi! :)But why did this happen at all? How can the php-file change without
any theme-update so suddenly? The last update I’ve made was the
last wp-update and nothing more! Very strange, isn’ it? Is there any
logic explanation? I really would like to understand it!And at last – unfortunately the social icons are still not showing in the
portrait-mode. Would you please so kind to look again at this point?
Thank you.Best regards
CarstenDecember 13, 2019 at 10:44 pm in reply to: Burger-menu-problem in mobile view: the word „menü“ is too near to the logo! #1165688Good evening Victoria,
thx for your new entry and sorry for my late reply!
Your snippet works good…thx for it! But your max-width was
a little bit to small. I had to raise the width to 800px.But I don’t know why, now the social-media-icons doesn’t show
up anymore. Or in other words – at the moment the icons are in-
visible, but they’ re still there. Only the hover is showing up. What
can be here the problem?Thx forward for your new help!
Best regards
CarstenDecember 7, 2019 at 10:55 pm in reply to: Burger-menu-problem in mobile view: the word „menü“ is too near to the logo! #1163697Good evening Yigit,
thx for your reply! But unfortunately your new css-snippet don’t hide
the “menu-word” in the portrait-mode and because of that, the social-
icons are not showing. Please, take another look at the site or at the
new screenshot. At landscape-view it works good. So, hopefully there’ll
be another way for the portrait-Mode.Best regards
CarstenNovember 29, 2019 at 6:08 pm in reply to: Burger-menu-problem in mobile view: the word „menü“ is too near to the logo! #1161300Hi Victoria,
thx for your reply! It works quite nice in “landscape-mode”, but in “portrait-mode”
we must touch up a little bit, don’t you think so? Please, take a look at the screenshot.I agree with you, that the word “menu” should be hidden in portrait-mode! But how
do I do that? I have follow css-snippet in my quick-css-field:
———————————————————————
/*————————*/
/* Add word menu next to hamburger icon
/*————————*/
.av-hamburger strong {
display: block!important;
position: absolute;
left: -90%;
top: 0;
font-size: 16px;
transform: translate(-80%, -46%);
}
———————————————————————
I think I need a further command here, but which? I’m sure, you’ll know it. :)Best regards
CarstenNovember 21, 2019 at 12:56 am in reply to: Social Media Profiles: how can I change the size and the symbol-icon? #1158651Hi Jordan,
thx for your fast reply! Your snippet works fine…perfect!
That’s it…we’re through. See you at the next question. :)Best regards
CarstenNovember 20, 2019 at 11:46 pm in reply to: Social Media Profiles: how can I change the size and the symbol-icon? #1158633Good evening Victoria,
thx for your new reply! And – your css-snippets work fine!
So, last but not least – one question is left. How can I change the thickness
and distance of the parting line.Best regards
CarstenNovember 16, 2019 at 12:57 am in reply to: Social Media Profiles: how can I change the size and the symbol-icon? #1157377Good evening Victoria,
thx again for your fast reply!
As I’ve written in my last entry, I read the “child-theme-docu” already
and now I know how it works!Thx for the new icon-code. But sorry, it’s still not quite right. The slash
is too much – without (“uf16d”) it works. BUT: the hover is missing! By
mouse-over the icon turns to white, but there is no coulered hover. ;-/
How can I get it?And again – how can I change the size of the icons? And also the thick-
ness and distance of the parting line.I’m looking forward to your new answer.
Best regards
CarstenNovember 15, 2019 at 3:48 pm in reply to: Social Media Profiles: how can I change the size and the symbol-icon? #1157204Hi again Victoria,
thx for your fast reply. Why do I need to install the child theme? What should be different then?
(Why) Do you think, that the code will be correct in the cild theme? Or is it just a try?I didn’t install a child theme before. Is it easy? Is it possible to install the “child” over the parent
theme? Ok, I have to read the documentation first. ;) Ok, now I installed it…that was easy. ;) And
I also installed the parent-theme-settings. I think, everything is fine again – only the instagram-icon
is still invisible. ;-/ ;-) Ok, now I deleted your code-snippet in the parent-functions.php and added
into the child-functions.php. BUT – the icon is still invisible! ;-/Any now? Do I have to ask “fontello” if they setted the wrong code to the icon?
Best regards

November 14, 2019 at 4:52 pm in reply to: Social Media Profiles: how can I change the size and the symbol-icon? #1156837Hi Victoria,
thx for your new answer! I think, we are on the right way…take a look at
the new screenshot. Or take another look directly on the startpage.I know – the functions.php in WP is not directly editable, but why, I don’t know.
I puted the code, per FTP, into the functions.php and after that the new icon is on
it’s place, but unfortunately not visible. ;-/ I’ve been to this point also one day ago. ;-)And now…any new ideas? Hopefully :)
Best regards
CarstenNovember 13, 2019 at 2:07 am in reply to: Social Media Profiles: how can I change the size and the symbol-icon? #1156238Hi Victoria,
your wish is my command. ;-) Hope it helps.
I’m looking forward to your new answer.Best regards
CarstenNovember 9, 2019 at 8:15 pm in reply to: Social Media Profiles: how can I change the size and the symbol-icon? #1155238Hi Victoria,
thx for your answer and the info-links! They helped, but I have a further question.
Please, take a look at the screenshots.It is much easier to import a new icon to enfold, as it is explained in the old thread.
You only have to download the fontello-zip-file and after that you import it into enfold.
Than you go to the social-media-profile and change it in the social symbol field. That’s it!
BUT unfortunately – the new icon doesn’t show up in the header-navigation. ;-/ Instead
of te new instagram-logo you see a pencil. So, what went here wrong?And unfortunately you didn’t answer my other questions: how can I change the size of the
icons? And also the thickness and distance of the parting line.I’m looking forward to your new reply!
Best regards
CarstenHi Ismael,
thx for your reply and the new informations!
And as I’ve written it in my last thread – I was not quite sure, but I’ve thought
in the right direction. Next time I’ll do it right! :-)But please let this thread still a little bit open, because my customer is still
very rushed and I didn’t get a finally feedback from her. Sorry, I’ll try to get
it soon!Best regards
CarstenHi Mike,
thank you for the new snippets – they work very well!
I’ve got a further question, but I’m not quite sure, if I should open
a new thread? I want to create an yearly blog-archive and I didn’t
find anything about in your documentation. What have I got to do
to realize that?Best regards
CarstenHi Mike,
sorry again for the long interruption! But my customer had an bereavement
in the family.So, everything is still fine with the changes and the customer likes it. But now
we need a new css-snippet. Please take a look at the new screenshot. The
Website is still the same.As always I’m looking forward to your new answer and hope you’ll fine!
Best regards
CarstenHi Ismael,
thx for your new answer and sorry for my late reply!
The new snippet works fine…thank you!In the meantime I created an ReCaptcha-account
but I’m not quite sure, if it’s working well? Or otherwise –
it’s not working perfectly. Spam is still arriving over the
contact-formular, but not so many as before. So, is there
any other (maybe better) way to stop spam? I switched
the spam-score to 0,3…maybe that helps? We’ll see. Do
you have any other suggestions? I’m looking forward…Best regards
CarstenHi Ismael,
thx for your new reply! Sorry, we have a little missunderstanding. ;-)
I didn’t mean the whole captcha-field, just the numbers should be colored.Because your snippet…
—————————————
.responsive #top ::placeholder {
color: red;
opacity: 1;
font-family: ‘Courier’, sans-serif;
}
—————————————-
…is not interacting with the captcha-field.You’ve written: Have you tried using the Google ReCAPTCHA option instead of the captcha field?
I don’t know exactly what do you mean with that. But right now I experienced that I didn’t activate
the captcha-box in the google-service-field. And I also didn’t create an API-Key for that. So, I think
that is the reason why the captcha-field is not working very well. ;-) I will fix it and after that I give
you a new response. But anyway…what exactly is the ReCaptcha-Option? Maybe I can try it also
or instead?Best regards
CarstenHi Ismael,
thank you for your new reply! Great – your snippet works perfectly! :)
And it’s nothing wrong with the captcha-field. Take another look on the
screenshot, than you’ll see that the captcha-field is not colored. That’s
the only thing which is not perfect. ;) I think we need here another
small snippet, don’t we? But as I said already, it’s not soooo important,
but of course, it would be nice. :)Bon weekend and best regards
CarstenPS: You enfold-guys already knows, that the captcha-tool are not working
realy good, don’t you? Also after the last google-update all my customers
and me too, getting still spam at irregular time intervals. Do you know, if google
is working on another update? Or do you know any other solutions for that
prob?Hi Ismael,
thank you for your reply. And your snippet works fine!
Only the reCaptcha-field doesn’t work correctly. Please,
take a look on the first screenshot.But one thing is more important than this point, namely
my second request. Please, take another look on the second
screenshot. If someone has forgotten to fill out a field, no
matter which one, I want the entire field to be colored and
not just the outline. How can I do that?Best regards
