Thanks Basilis.
I’ve already been in contact with WPML, and we are not getting any possible solution.
The only thing I want is a working image library that can be used for my three languages (instead of 3 seperate for each language, this creates a huge database, and is unnecessary) , and a working image gallery on my translated post.
WPML does give a reply every now and then, but seems they do not know a short term solution…August 9, 2018 at 1:41 pm in reply to: WPML translation of images – no images seen on translated posts #995462Hi Güther, thank you so much for getting back at me. I’ll have a look at the post, I have found it before when searching for a solution, but was not sure if it will work. I’ll give it a try, and let you know how it works out.
Can you also send the dev version of Enfold? I have added my email in the private content
Thank you,
Deborah
August 7, 2018 at 10:48 pm in reply to: WPML translation of images – no images seen on translated posts #994600Hi Rikard, any chance you had time to take a look?
Seems like WPML doesn’t get any short term solution, which means we’re almost 2 weeks without any possibility to update our website.
What should I do? I can’t wait for an update or bug fix that comes with an update. Seems like it is a compability problem with WPML and Enfold theme, although I have no idea where to look for an solution… Can you please help me out?August 6, 2018 at 8:20 am in reply to: WPML translation of images – no images seen on translated posts #993829Thanks for letting me know – account rights are now updated
August 3, 2018 at 2:04 pm in reply to: WPML translation of images – no images seen on translated posts #993269This reply has been marked as private.Seems like all I had to do was change the settings of the image to fluid instead of fixed width of 250 x 250px…
So thanks for the help, this thread can be closed!! :)Thankyou Yigit, the code made the background transparent, but the images are nog the way i want it. As provided in the image below, the images need to ‘fit’ into the box (red box). There is still a blank space, on the left and right side of the square.
Hi Rikard,
Please take a look at this screenshot:
The image shows a light blue background, and isn’t aligned properly with the white box below the image. I want the image and white box to be the same width.
Hi Andy,
Unfortunately that’s not the page we’re discussing. I posted the link a few messages earlier, but I’ll post it again, including username and password.
I use Chrome, on a windows laptop. It looks like the images arend stretched to fit into the block. I think that’s the reason why I see it. Is it possible to stetch the image to fit the block?
Thanks Rikard, it worked, the padding between the columns is decreased.
I want the tablet view to be the same as the phone view, because when viewing the site as tablet, the photo’s in the middle column are too small to see any details. Unless there is a way to decrease the padding between the photo’s in the center column. (Take a look at the screenshot below)
Is it possible to decrease the padding between the photo’s (red arrow) to 10-20 px?
Also, the photo’s show a background color, instead of being stretched to the border. Is it possible to show the text (title) in a white box with an border around it?Hi Rikard,
Unfortunately this is still a draft, since i want to change the existing homepage. I can provide you with a temporary account, so you can view it.
Hi Andy,
Thanks for your quick answers and help! I guess I’ll have to do that, thanks again. This thread can be closed.
Hi Andy,
That’s because I send you a photo of another blogpost, not the one provided in the link…
Let’s start again :)
When I’m using both horizontal and vertical photo’s, the images in my gallery appear stretched. For example: http://www.rob-son.nl/knorr-l-450-1-w/ The first image is vertical, (433 x 650 px), the second image is horizontal (650 x 433 px). The second image is stretched to the vertical image size, which results in a distorted image. (the stretching is not proportional)
Is there a way to make the gallery automatically adjust the image size, without stretching the image, when using images of 650 px, but also 433 px.
The code worked for a bit, the photo’s aren’t stretched anymore. The only problem now is that the images don’t “fit” into the box, there is extra space between the left/right border. Take a look at the photo I provided. Is there a way to make the image proportionally stretched, fit into the box? So there’ll be no extra space on the left en right side.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for you answer, unfortunately that’s not what I mean. The images are stretched unproportionally. (Which means the images don’t look how they are supposed to do. Please take a look at the link I provided.
Is there a solution to make the gallery “responsive” as in adjusting automatically to the image size, when using images of different sizes? That way the images arent stretched….
Or is there another way to make the images in the gallery stretched proportionally, and cropped?
Please take a look at the site link I provided. Thankyou.
Thankyou, the code worked.
The thumbnail images still appear to be stretched. Any idea how I can fix that?
Hi Andy,
That’s not exactly what I mean. I want the thumbnails that appear on the search results page bigger. They are now 44 x 44px, but I want them 180px x 180px. When I changed the CSS code, they got bigger, however, the title and excerpt don’t move to the right, which results in the thumbnail on top of the text. Please take a look at this screenshot:
I used this code:
.search-result-counter {
padding: 0;
width: 180px;
height: 180px
}.search-result-counter img {
width: 180px;
height: 100%;
}The image also appears stretched, how can I fix this? The other thumbnails in my blog posts are cropped, not stretched..

Thankyou, the code worked. This is how the search results page looks like:
Is it possible to make the image thumbnails bigger, 180px x 180px?

Hi Yigit,
Unfortunately that’s not possible, since I’m developing on a local server. I can post a screenshot of ‘inspecting element’ if that helps?
Thanks, it worked! I want to change the size of the thumbnail to 180px x 180 px, in a square. I tried changing the code, which made the image a square image of 180px, but the text didn’t show next to the image.
Please take a look at this screenshot:
I changed the height to auto, instead of 100px and that seemed to work! Thanks :)
It worked, the thumbnails are now less blurry. But they still don’t fit into the border box around the image.. Any idea how I can fix that?
Hi Yigit,
The screenshot:
THANKYOU! I changed the width to 95%, and it worked for my blog, and for the archive category. This thread can be closed :)
I might found a solution :)
This is what I got when I edited in the ‘inspect element section’ in Chrome. When I added the code, the layout changed
However, the border on the right is too close to the border of the sidebar. Margin-right/padding-right doesn’t work. Can you please provide me with a code, maybe margin-left for the sidebar, so the borders arent this close to eachother.
When I paste the code in the custom CSS box it changes!!!
However, in Sublime Text nothing changes, is that because of the media query?I understand. :) I’m working with Sublime Text, so pasting the code in the Custom CSS area or in Sublime Text shouldn’t give a problem. I pasted the code ( .archive article { padding-right: 4%!important; } ) in the custom css area, just to be sure, but no changes visible.
.page-id-3241 article {
border: 1px solid #e2e2e2;}I tried using this code (changing .blog for the page id ), but i don’t see any changes

Margin-right doesn’t work.. Do I need to change code in my (child) functions.php?

Hi Yigit,
What do I have to change? Do I have to replace my page ID with .blog? I don’t really understand it to be honest.
The padding doesn’t change anything on my archive category. Padding changes the inside right? Shoudn’t margin-right be a better solution? (Since margin adds extra space on the ouside of the content block…)
Hi Yigit,
I understand completely, thank you for the reply. However, I already tried that code, with no change in the layout…
I used
.archive article {
border: 1px solid #e2e2e2;
padding: 1%;
margin-right: 1%;
margin-bottom: 1%;for the border around my posts in the archive category.
