I tried going to http://www.mysite.com/wp-content and /subdirectory/wp-content and on the first got a blank page and on the second got a 404 page. can you be specific as to where I make the CHMOD 775? I would like to get this issue resolved ASAP. thanks!

I just took this site over and am not very savvy when it comes to this. This is what I am getting when I try to update:
