Hi Jordon,
I checked the themes folder and the default are all there, but this is all I can see in the browser on the site.

Weird.
Well … since the update of the Enfold theme the Plugins tab is still missing from the WordPress menu.

Could this be an Enfold theme issue (could I have changed some options?) or would this be related to WordPress?

Ok, thanks for your help with this guys, but I found a workaround, by manually uploading the site backup plug-in via FTP.
I still don’t have a “Plugins” tab, but I was hoping this would be available after updating the Enfold theme. Which leads to my next question:
I can no longer see an update on the Enfold dashboard, however, when I try to check manually I get: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” I went ahead manually download the latest version (4.2) from your website but again, not sure of the best way to install this. Suggestions?

I did try all the options listed in the threads you sent – still no luck. I even tried replacing this with a plugins.php file from another WP install, but this obviously caused a fatal error. Any more suggestions?
