Thanks for your reply. Just to make sure we’re talking about the same sort of effect, please take a look at the example I mentioned above (http://kreaturamedia.com/layerslider-wordpress-2d-demo-slider/, 4th to 5th slide transition) — that’s what I mean by a ‘filmstrip’. If you could please explain how to make that happen, it would be much appreciated!
Alternatively, from what I’ve read in the comments on the LayerSlider plugin page (see http://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-responsive-wordpress-slider-plugin-/1362246/comments?filter=all&term=examples&utf8=%E2%9C%93), it seems that there are a bunch of examples included in the plugin download that are not bundled with the Enfold theme. If there’s some way you can provide access to those, I might be able to find my answer that way. Thanks!
Thanks, Ismael. My slider does use the Slide from Right transition but, as you can see, the next slide is not visible until the first slide fades out, which is not really a push.
More broadly, it would be great to know how to make a slider that is like a filmstrip, where the next and previous slides are visible beside the current slide.

Thanks for your quick reply! How would I go about using those other image sizes? The options in the dropdown menu are:
No Scaling
Large
Featured
Featured Large
Extra Large
Entry Without SidebarAnd I see no way to change those options in the Enfold Child menu or Settings > Media.
Is there a way for the slider to automatically display/resize the images to fit the height, or is this better done by changing the thumbnail sizes?

Is there a shortcode for the portfolio item preview text? I’d like to be able to use it in the layerslider rather than [excerpt].

Thanks very much for your reply. I have another related question: is it possible to add Portfolio Items to a LayerSlider? I’d like to be able to able to have a slider on our homepage that is populated by a select few portfolio items (that will also appear within the full portfolio on a separate page).
p.s. If you look at our current homepage at http://usefulmedia.net, you can see the kind of content I’m talking about, the difference being that the current slider has no on-click functionality, just links to other pages (which sucks! we want our work to be immediately playable).
