I don’t have an imgur account and don’t want one. And I don’t really want to post a shared link to this thread for dropbox. Is there no way to attach a screenshot or no place I can email it to you? I’ll add the homepage link in the private box below.
August 12, 2016 at 6:57 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #672004Ok. I don’t know why that just took an incomplete screenshot of the site instead of giving a clickable link. Can you go to the site?
August 12, 2016 at 6:56 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #672003Just go to the homepage to see what I mean. The nav is mostly burgundy, but under the actual navigation links it is blue.

August 11, 2016 at 5:40 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #671469This still isn’t working. Can you help?
I am using a plugin for the API Key and the map works just fine as a widget in the sidebar, but I am still getting the “oops” error on the pages where I have used the advanced page layout to insert the Google map.
My URL in the Google Credentials is actually set as *.domain.com with no /* following. Which I did by accident, but it is working. Which is weird – I thought the wildcard is how to ensure it works on all pages but my widget does anyway. I’m not going to mess with it for a while. :-)
Thanks for the info and links re page speed jjdenmark. I know its not really the topic of this thread, but I have been struggling with speed issues on another site and you’ve given me a start in the right direction. Thank you!
On the whole though, I’m with perfortuna. Any plugin is an “extra” – I like to use as few as possible.
I agree @perfortuna. I’d prefer no extra plugins – but it’s been a few weeks already and I have clients very eager to get their site live. I’m surprised and disappointed that so many are having problems with the update to Enfold – but I guess I’m glad it’s not just me! :-)
I’ll check it out. Thanks!
Ah, I almost asked you what that was when you first mentioned it. Is it a WordPress plugin? Or is in an extension for Google Chrome? I take it you have used it a lot?
@jjdenmark. No. I don’t really know what that is. I find that Google Cache doesn’t clear out easily. I have had more than one project where no matter how many times I say to clear the browsing history that something is fine on other browsers but not on Google Chrome.
My map works in the sidebar works. Now that I switched to using a separate plugin. But the maps in the pages are getting the Oops message. Sigh.
August 9, 2016 at 11:10 pm in reply to: Google maps not working even though I followed all instructions #670549My maps are working now. I gave up on trying to make it work with Enfold. I removed the key from the Enfold settings, then installed the plugin: “API KEY for Google Maps” and pasted it in there instead. Pressed refresh and now the widget shows the map. It’s the wrong location, but I think that’s a different problem.
Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry to report mine still does not work. I tried visiting the page in another browser that I haven’t used in a long time, just in case I wasn’t clearing the cache right – no luck. I tried in an incognito window in Chrome, but it still isn’t working. Has anybody else in this thread gotten this to work?

That is very good to hear jjdenmark. Thank you for sharing because it’s the first I’ve heard of it working for someone. Did it work right away? Can you say what you did? How you added the URL and if you had to enable any of the API’s in the Google Developer Library?
August 9, 2016 at 5:44 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #670430Unfortunately that did not have the desired effect. The actual links in the navigation still have a different colored background and this just shifted that section down and out of the main navigation bar.
Google says to wait 5 minutes for the change in settings to take effect. So I have now systematically changed the url in my project in google to:
domain.com
domain.com/*
.domain.com/*
http://domain.comIn each case I waited at least 10 minutes before reloading the pages on my site with the map. Nothing worked. I still see a map for a split second, then the Oops message.

August 9, 2016 at 4:16 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #670372Also, is it possible to narrow the height of the navigation bar at all?
August 9, 2016 at 3:21 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #670360I suspect I may need another “important” CSS edit in order to remove the background color of the selected color scheme.
August 9, 2016 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #670353Oh – sorry – I think the footer was tied to a different change I tried. I just didn’t notice it until right after I added the nav bar CSS. Please ignore that part.
August 9, 2016 at 3:08 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #670348I am still so stunned that with all the things Enfold lets one easily edit, that there is no way to simply change the navigation bar (only) background color. That is such a common thing one wants to change.
I want to change the navigation bar, only, not the footer or other elements.
August 9, 2016 at 3:05 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #670347I have also just noticed that this change also changed the footer background. Why?
August 9, 2016 at 2:57 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #670342Hi Yigit,
That worked for the main navigation, thank you. However, I am having trouble with the Advanced Styling. I don’t see how to “remove” the background. I tried to simply set the color of the main menu links to the same hexidecimal I am using but that had no effect.
August 9, 2016 at 2:33 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #670335Hi again,
As I look through this thread I see I’ve given the login credentials a few times. Please use the most current password.
I am experiencing the same problem. I uploaded the latest version of Enfold and followed the instructions in the Google Services section of the Enfold settings. I was surprised because I thought I’d have to create one of the many API’s just for Google maps as shown in the Google developer library. It does seem like your tutorial could use a bit more info between steps 3 and 4.

August 8, 2016 at 4:56 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #669925Rats. I didn’t forget, I really did add the info to the “private content” window right away. But I was in a place with very spotty Internet so perhaps the connection was lost. I will do that again right now.
August 3, 2016 at 5:36 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #668189Ah, I see now re the “dynamically applied.” Thank you! Yes, I will post the temp login in the private area below. One moment.
August 3, 2016 at 5:27 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #668182Again, your solution had no effect. And what do you mean by “it [what is IT?] is dynamically [what to you mean by dynamically?] applied [applied to what?] as you said [when did I say that?].
July 29, 2016 at 4:37 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #666636That appears to have had no effect. Is there really no way to change the navigation bar color in the many many setting options? I can attach a screenshot if that will help – although not sure how.
I don’t know what you mean by “it is dynamically applied as you said.” When did I say that?
July 29, 2016 at 3:56 pm in reply to: Is there a way to change the navigation bar color in settings? #666617Oh gosh, sorry about that. I forgot I had the coming soon up. I’ll include below.
I think if we do this we will have to use a custom class – a variation on what you have sent above – and apply it to just the meta info. Thank you for your help!
