Hi,
I am already using a redirection plugin. I’m not sure this is really the issue. It’s hard to understand what you are trying to say. What do you mean “WordPress is using it for search?” Using what for search? What search? Why is it appearing on my Enfold websites but not the others?
But I’ve figured out how to post a screenshot, so I have posted 2 to help you understand what I am getting at.
Well – I didn’t change anything – but the text is no longer green! I think some setting must have just taken awhile to set??? Very weird.
You can delete this thread – I would but i didn’t know how.

January 20, 2018 at 6:53 pm in reply to: Why do my images look like they are different sizes on the homepage? #900156Well, I get that it crops or resizes. But I don’t get where it is selecting from. If I make the window big enough most everything fits. Does it start at the top left? Top center? It definitely isn’t center center, which is what I had expected.
I have activated the child theme for this site now, if that helps.
When I go to that file, a message appears below it that says:
There are 9 errors which must be fixed before you can update this file.
Update anyway, even though it might break your site?
I did a manual check for Enfold theme updates and it says my theme is up to date.
What do you recommend? It won’t let me try the changes you have suggested.
January 17, 2018 at 5:51 pm in reply to: Masonry blog – What is the ideal size for featured images? #898582I’ve moved on to a different solution Ismael. I switched to a different masonry setting. And then deleted test pages.
But I’d love a reply to a different thread: #898225!
January 17, 2018 at 12:50 am in reply to: Why do my images look like they are different sizes on the homepage? #898247Hi Omarkh101,
I don’t know. I’ve been using Enfold for about a year and a half. I’ve probably used it on about 8-10 websites. I have noticed a change in support more recently. Perhaps as the theme got more popular they started to get pressure to fill a quota or something. I’ve noticed it takes longer for someone to reply, and often the replies are shorter and ask something that was already addressed. Like they read it in a hurry and skimmed it. Made a quick reply to move on to the next ticket. Or maybe it’s just January…everyone working on their website and a big jump in volume.
If the change I made doesn’t work for you, maybe check out the other thread on this topic. There they recommended a plugin for resizing thumbnails. It wasn’t the fix for me, but it did seem like a useful thing to have!
January 17, 2018 at 12:37 am in reply to: Why do my images look like they are different sizes on the homepage? #898236omarkh101: Please note – I just realized I made a typo. The option I ended up choosing wasn’t “fixed” masonry, but “flexible” masonry.
January 17, 2018 at 12:34 am in reply to: Why do my images look like they are different sizes on the homepage? #898229Me too. No one seems to want to touch the topic. This is actually the second time I posted the question. This first time, someone wrote after 1 day to ask for a screenshot, but that was it. After 4 days of nothing I just started a new thread.
Thanks Basilis. We’ve decided to keep the styling as is. But I do still want the rotation to stop. What kind of coding would someone need to do? Would I need to install a child theme?
I’m really surprised it is not a setting.
January 17, 2018 at 12:10 am in reply to: Why do my images look like they are different sizes on the homepage? #898202I actually ended up figuring it out a bit. I think the 4 masonry choices are a little confusing. I changed mine to choice number one “Fixed Masonry” and made sure to crop every featured image to the exact same size before I uploaded it. It worked.
It still seems like the second option should also work in this way and I still don’t understand why it does not. But try what I did and see if that works for you too. Good luck!

PS: I cropped all my blog post featured images to 1200 x 512
Please help me. This is the last thing we are needing to resolve before we can go live with this new site.
January 16, 2018 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Why do my images look like they are different sizes on the homepage? #898189Hello,
Your reply has been marked as private. I’m not sure how to see it. I’ve tried clicking on your reply box, your name, etc. But no luck.January 15, 2018 at 9:08 pm in reply to: Masonry blog – What is the ideal size for featured images? #897707So I’ve continued to try to figure this out. For some reason, when I switched to a different option for the masonry it now looks uniform. I choose: Flexible Masonry: All entries get the same width but Images of each entry are displayed with their original height and width ratio.
I think because I edited all images to be the exact same size before uploading that it works. But I don’t really understand why the second choice, (Perfect Grid: Display a perfect grid where each element has exactly the same size. Images get cropped/stretched if they don’t fit) didn’t have the same effect. But I’ll take it!
January 15, 2018 at 7:24 pm in reply to: Masonry blog – What is the ideal size for featured images? #897681Also, for one of my posts, that I like the look of, I had a good look and it illustrates my situation or confusion well.
The actual image size (in the Media Library) is 1000 x 668 (basically 3:2). But on the single post page, when I stretch it to the very largest it will go and it doesn’t resize anymore, it becomes 1211 x 512 (or slightly narrower than 2:1) . And this aspect ratio (that I like) stays consistent no matter what size I make the browser window. So I’m not seeing any time when the theme uses the 3:2 ratio (705×470 is one example) even when the original image would perfectly resize to that. It still gets cropped to something closer to 2:1.
I would love to understand this better because it will come up with almost any project that uses Enfold.
January 15, 2018 at 7:00 pm in reply to: Masonry blog – What is the ideal size for featured images? #897676Mike,
Thank you. That looks like a very useful plugin and I am happy to know about it! I’m not sure it’s the solution to my issue today. I’m not sure why I would want to change the masonry thumbnail sizes, except to change the aspect ratio.
I looked it up and the aspect ratio of 705 x 470 is 3:2. Not only is that not what I’d like (I’d prefer something more like 2:1) but that isn’t what the current masonry images even look like. I took a screenshot at several browser window sizes, and unless the window was quite large – almost full screen on my 27″ monitor – the ratio is more like 2:1. Narrower.
Also, the plugin settings is listing the masonry size as 705 x 705. Not 705 x 470. Btw, do you know what “Show in post insertion?” means?
But regardless of the aspect ratio, why don’t the images all match? I will be happy to share a screenshot but I can’t remember that name of that place where I can post an image for you and send the link. Can you remind me what that service is?
Thank you Mike!
