My version was not very outdated – I do keep up – but I guess it was enough. Updating to 5.3.2 resolved the issue. Thanks!
I just went in and activated that switch in performance and saved the changes then I reloaded the page. I see no difference. Do you?
Rats. I could have sworn I included everything you needed! I will try the regenerate thumbnails thing first. If that doesn’t work I’ll return and give you those last settings.
I’m really stumped. I went back and forth between the settings on both sites and as far as I can see all the settings are exactly the same!
I’ve gone live with the site now, so you can see what is happening. I’ll add a link below. If you look closely you can see the underline. Or probably a border bottom for whatever page you are on. I don’t think we want to change the color. I think we just want to remove or hide it altogether.
The site is in development behind a firewall. But do you really HAVE to see it? Do you not know what I am referring to? It’s pretty common to have the active page highlighted in the navigation in some way. And it’s clearly built in to the Enfold theme. I just want to know what setting to change. Are you saying you have no idea unless you look at it live?

But the other two are not smaller. I The images are 1024 x 593. And the slider setting was set to 1500 x 430. When I changed that to actual size the issue went away.
But it is still weird. That is the only thing I changed. Why would that setting effect only the first slide?
Well, since it was all the “header” section I thought it could count together. I was looking for a setting to control the navigation. In the end I think I found it in the advanced styling options. And I figured out the extra “home” button was simply the title of the page showing.
That is no solution! I read through the thread and it looks like nothing worked. I think you misunderstood the writer.
C_Eng0409 said that your solution meant he could no longer update any plugins. So he reversed what he did and was then able to update the plugins again. But the original issue about being able to update the theme was not effected.
Do you have any news about why this is happening or when a proper fix will be available?
Nope. It still doesn’t work. I remembered to grab the error message this time:
An error occurred while updating Enfold: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.

I can’t find any setting for “mobile version” in Jetpack not in Enfold settings. Can you be more specific about just what setting I am looking for? When you say: “there is a setting to not use the mobile version…” what do you mean exactly?
The mobile version of the website? Not “use it” where?

At first I thought your suggestion regarding the trash was ridiculous. Of course there should already be items in the trash – I’ve worked on this site for several years – there are many files I have put in the trash along the way. But then I remembered that we did actually migrate the site to a new host a few months ago. I realized we might not have migrated the trashed files along with the rest. So I tested it and sure enough, the trash link appeared. Thanks for the clue to help me realize that is what had happened.
Re the shortcode – I am confused. I have tried adding that code in the advanced builder and in the default builder. I have tried adding it to visual and to text. I tried adding a code block element and pasting it in there. In the past, I have always just added short code in to the visual tab. Where a, I supposed to paste this in exactly?

I cannot give you the url for the About the Team demo page because all the demo’s have the same url: https://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview. But it is the About the Team page. And it’s not that hard to recreate. I could have sworn you had one where the photos were round. I know that’s something I do on my end – but it’s just weird that they look different than I remember.
Also -The trash thing is an issue specifically because it is not possible to just go to the trash and restore it. I know that’s what I should be able to do. That is what I have done for years. That’s why I said things like “it is no longer possible” and “it looks like I can no longer get to…” Those phrases are hints that I am aware of the norm and that something is different now.

I think I’ve added the code successfully. I do see a box on the page editor with a couple of short codes that I have not seen or noticed before. But I am not sure what you mean by “link to the page I want shortcodes for.”
Actually – it looks like that box of short codes now appears on all pages that use the advanced builder. I’m going to remove that code from the functions page. That code will be confusing for the other users of the site and I think they may end up messing with it.
I want to make a Meet the Team page and I thought it would be nice to start with the demo. I had that page for a long time in draft. Then I moved it to trash. Is it no longer possible to move pages out of the trash area?

Everything is working fine. I’m just working out what options I have for displaying certain content. Confirming that the portfolio was a custom post type was my first. step. Now I know for sure.Thank you!

That’s it – the same issue I am having! Fortunately, in this case I am fine to just turn off the search feature for now. But how?
I’ve looked through all the settings and I am not seeing that option. It is not in Header > Extra elements as the first post suggests.
