Hey Victoria,
I figured you’d be able to give me a general explanation of how to do it without seeing the site… but i guess not? I’ve included login creds in the private section.I just want to add a heart icon to the H2 at the bottom of this page:
<h2> What Our Students [heart] Most </h2>
Thanks!
Hey Ismael,
I just updated the theme to 4.2 and the tab sections are working.
Did you change something in functions.php or anywhere else, or did the theme update fix it by itself? If you changed something please let me know the detailed steps you took so I can duplicate your efforts on the live site.
Many thanks!
RobinUpdate: I’ve deactivated Varnish for staging.thedancedojo.com – Please advise me if you want me to turn it back on.
Hi Ismael,
Perhaps one of the devs we’ve worked with in the past has duplicated it in fuctions.php. I have no idea what the problem is and that’s why I’m asking you. Please advise us on what to do.
Re the js/dancedojo.js file – I gave you have the FTP creds so you can view whatever you need. I’ve shared the creds with you again below and the contents of the dancedojo.js file.
Varnish is implemented by our host server side – would you like me to disable it for staging?
Thanks
Yes that’s correct. I’m assuming that means there’s something in the functions.php file of our child theme that’s causing the issue. Are you able to tell me what that is?
Hi Ismael,
Yes, I’ve been doing many things to test everything to find out what’s going wrong. I returned the site to it’s normal state so it’s less confusing for you.If you want to see a tab section there is one immediately below the hero section on the current homepage. Alternatively you can go to staging.thedancedojo.com/home to see the enfold homepage and it’s tab section.
As I mentioned in my last message. The functions.php file in our child theme is the issue. When i rename it, the tab switching works. Can you tell us what is causing the issue in the functions.php file please?
Hi Ismael,
I did some testing on our staging site: http://staging.thedancedojo.com. I renamed every file in our child theme and it appears the functions.php file is the issue.
Can you take a look at the file and see what might be causing the issue? I’ve included FTP credentials for you.
Please make sure you don’t change anything on the live site.
Thanks!
Also, when we add Product Purchase Button to the Advanced layout builder it does not show up when we save the page.
Hi Basilis,
You’re focusing on the add to cart button, but I previously mentioned that’s not the solution we’re looking for. I’ll repeat my original question:
1. We’d like to place a Product Purchase Button on this product page in the spot shown in this screenshot:
https://monosnap.com/file/kX6xUjbvgufpegfaKp6MDl1r6HSrUMThe two buttons are currently implemented in a text block. We looked for a shortcode for the Product Purchase Button in your forums and found “[av_product_button]” but that didn’t work for us – nothing appeared on the front-end.
2. If we want to add a price to the product purchase button how can we do that?
3. If we want to modify the text on the product purchase button how can we do that?Hey Basilis, your team pointed us toward the woocommerce “Add to cart” button in a past thread. Instead of adding the item to cart we would like to use the product purchase button to take the user direct to checkout (eliminating unnecessary steps).
Regardless of which button used, questions 2 and 3 remain.
Thanks for your help,
RobinHi Ismael, I just re-cloned the live site so the header.php file should be up to date on staging now.
Best,
RobinHi, no please don’t deactivate any plugins on the live site.
I’m sending through credentials for the staging site, which is a clone. You can do anything you need to do there, including a theme update. Thanks!Hi Jordan, the only errors seems to be missing PNG files.

October 22, 2017 at 12:24 am in reply to: How can I add an "Add to cart" button on a non-product page? #867137Hey John, thanks for that.
I’m wondering if it’s possible to somehow put an Add to Cart button in a Full Width Sub Menu (one of the elements of the page builder)?
Screenshot: https://monosnap.com/file/QJF406cBOqToWu2hh9HzU1AXb1KmRZAlso, in general, is it possible to use a generic theme button and somehow make it an “Add to cart” button. ie – can I insert a URL with parameters into a button that adds a product to cart and sends the visitor to checkout?

Hi Rikard, I cloned our site and deactivated all plugins. The tab switching still didn’t work.
I then activated Enfold as the theme (was previously using a child theme) and tab switching started working.
How can I troubleshoot what in my child theme is causing the issue? Thanks,
