I have gotten this to work in advanced layout just by using blank 1/5 size columns on the end of all content.
March 7, 2019 at 4:31 pm in reply to: Blog Can't Use "Elegant Blog Styling" with Advanced Layout Editor? #1076039Hi Victoria –
Thanks for getting back to me. My goal is to have a post layout with centered text in the middle and white space on every side, similar to how many blogs are formatted nowadays. (Medium, etc., etc.)
Selecting “Elegant Blog Styling” initially accomplishes this when I select this option this under Enfold => Blog Layout => Blog Styling.
But then as soon as I start to use the advanced layout builder to write a blog post, it seems to forget that the content should be in the middle, and everything spreads across the entire page.
I ended up having to use the advanced layout builder to create a 1/5 x 3/5 x 1/5 layout, so that way my posts would be centered in the middle, with white space on either side.
However, it was kind of a pain to do that – I wish posts could just default to the Elegant Blog Styling. But I guess they can’t, it’s not compatible with the Advanced Layout Builder?
Thanks again for helping me to understand, I appreciate it! :)
Aaaand it’s happening again. Enfold can’t see any of my pages to associate with the blog or the homepage.
Please help to address this bug. I have barely even added or changed anything since resetting my entire website back to square 1 about an hour ago (deleting all content), and again, the same problem. :(
I ended up having to completely reset everything in order to fix this issue, using the wp reset plugin. :(
Unfortunately, this deleted all my previous content I had added, but it was the only way to fix the bug.
At least now I can set the homepage.
We launched site yesterday (www.cottonseedapparel.com). We ended up calculating the exact coordinates of the store and entered those, instead of relying on the tool to calculate the coordinates for us when we entered the address – that worked!
We ended up launching the site at http://www.cottonseedapparel.com yesterday, sorry for the confusion.
As a workaround, we changed the footer from having 4 columns to having 2, and then we put all the text in a single widget so there were no alignment issues…

Thank you (DUH) – that worked! :)
