Sorry, our provider was not able to find out anything. In the meantime we’re experiencing massive problems on many of our Enfold websites. Just one example in the private section. WP keeps emailing us about system errors. We also replaced the function as mentioned above.
Best Regards, Julian
In the WP log it seems to be the only message at the moment. After updating to WP 4.5.6 we do still get this email from my first post for all our Enfold websites. I have no idea if these errors still exist. At the moment Ii can’t find anything in the log, so maybe it was just a WP bug.
Thanks for the quick reply!
Best Regards, Julian
Hi Günter,
we do still get errors in the WP log on all of our Enfold websites. Even with all PlugIns deactivated:
——-
Notice: avia_post_nav_settings is deprecated since version 4.5.6! Use avf_post_nav_settings instead. Return values handling has changed in /var/www/clients/client20/web70/web/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4711

We’re running PHP Version 7.3.1 and Enfold Version 4.5.6.
Best regards
Julian

Hi Ismael,
thanks for your reply. It seems that it works when there are more products. When there are less than three products it doesn’t work. In production there will be more products so we can ignore that. Nevertheless it seems to be a bug.
Best regards, Julian
Latest Enfold 4.5 still no improvement. My suggestion is completely ignored and the theme’s lightbox still has no support for the webp format. Why?
This reply has been marked as private.Hi Günter,
I had contact to WPML before and everybody says that it has been solved. That’s definitely not the case. Some WPML guys hacked around in our websites and “made” it work by using some manuell processes. That made it even worse!
I already deployed all new Enfold PHP files from GIT to our servers, but that brought no change. Are the new changes?
I write Ahmed again but to be honest I don’t think they take it serious.
See email is in the private section.
Thanks anyway for your support. We know it’s not easy to solve.
cheers, Julian

The issue is not resolved at all!
On some of our websites we just used dirty hacks to show the images again. We used manual translation and duplicated page elements.
See for example our own website where still (after updating all php files from Günter) no logos can be shown on the english version of the page “clients”.
The problem is still there also on ALL our other websites too. After translation no Enfold image elements are shown on the translated page.
Hi Basilis,
sorry, we need “real” translation. We are using the theme for big clients. As much as we appreciate the theme, now we have to look for a theme that supports some translation plug-in for further projects.
I don’t understand that Enfold and WPML have no interest in solving the problem.
See private section for additional message!
Best Regards, Julian

Hello, Günter,
thanks again for your super help! We really appreciate it. I’ll e-mail WPML later this week. I’ll clone the site again, because I don’t want more people working on the live system.
We had so many problems with WPML in particular last year that we are considering not using the tool at all in the future. Our customers also have difficulty with the complicated usability and we find it increasingly confusing with every update. Do you have information about alternatives for the Enfold Theme? I tested Polylang once, but I encountered problems with Enfold when it comes to string translation. I have no information about Locco Translate.
Are there plans to support another (usable) PlugIn at Enfold in the future?
Best Regards, Julian
Okay, I once deactivated all plugins and the WPML-Assistant actually ran through once. After that the english products were back again, but in German language version. I have now simply put my duplicated images back into the english gallery, because I don’t want to install an additional media translation WPML module because of 9 photos.
I also created a test page (see private link). This page is not visible in the navigation. Here I have added the modules you recommended. When I translate the page, all modules on the English page are gone. Also headline and text. It looks like the current WPML version is no longer compatible with Enfold. You can test it yourself on this page.

Hello, Günter,
thanks first of all for the great support! I did all the actions as described. When I try to start Media Translation under WPML > Settings, I get to a white page and the action doesn’t seem to work.
I see no change on the page itself. In the meantime I got the tip from WPML Support to deactivate the PlugIn “Post Types Order”. At least the slider on the start page and the logoslider shows again after that. Now I still have the problem with the display of the products on the english “Products” page.
Do you have an idea why WPML Media Translation does not work? WPML support has no idea at all.
Best regards, Julian
The PHP Version is 7.1.13.

Hi Victoria,
thanks a lot. I replaced the two php files but can’t see any effect on the website. Images are still not there.
Best Regards, Julian
Hey, thanks for the two files on git. Where are the files located within Enfold? I can’t find them.
Any news on that? My Client is getting a bit nervous.
Thanks a lot for your help in advance. Her you go (see private section)
Hey Victoria,
see link in private section. I deactivated WebP at the moment because lightbox script in the page “Über uns” didn’t worked. When I used WebP the images opened without lightbox effect. I think the file extension .webp is missing in the lightbox script.
Thanks for your help.

Hey Rikard,
sorry, but did you even read my question? I don’t have problems using WebP images in WP in general but with the Enfold image gallery lightbox module. I can’t see any context with my question in your answer.
cheers, Julian
Unfortunately it seems that WPML doesn’t work with Enfold theme at all. After solving the problems mentioned above the design of the translated pages is completely destroyed. See links in private content.
Is there a solution. We need to translate our website.
I figured it out. When you first add a translation and then go to “WPML Translation Management Translation Jobs”. Delete everything and add the translations again it works. Seems like a bug in WPML. Maybe you should contact the people over there to find a solution. As I read the WPML forum many Enfold users seem to have the same problem.

finally it works! Thanks a lot for your help! Have a nice weekend.

October 30, 2017 at 2:07 pm in reply to: Portfolio with fullscreen slider – previous and next #870460Hi Ismael,
and again it does not what it should. The “next” link on a project page is still on the left side of the page and the previous link on the right.
Please click on the first project to see! In western societies “next” is associated with going right as we read from left to right. Do you see something different than I?
Best regards, Julian
October 28, 2017 at 7:26 pm in reply to: Portfolio with fullscreen slider – previous and next #870000Hi,
am I doing something wrong? Again I added your latest code to my functions.php and again the controls are gone. When I restore the latest code before that, the controls are still on the wrong side. I don’t get why this is such an impossible thing. Shouldn’t the previous and next function do what I want by default?
Best regards, Julian

October 26, 2017 at 7:11 pm in reply to: Portfolio with fullscreen slider – previous and next #869293Hi,
ist seems as it’s more complicated taht we all thought ;-(. I added your new code to my functions.php and now the previous and next control are gone again. The first code Yigit gave me to show the controls together with the fullpage slider is also still in my functions.php.cheers, Julian
October 25, 2017 at 1:14 pm in reply to: Portfolio with fullscreen slider – previous and next #868695Hi Ismael,
unfortunately it doesn’t work. I updated the new code in my functions.php and cleared all caches but still the “next” control is on the left side of the page.
Thanks for your help.

October 24, 2017 at 12:47 am in reply to: Portfolio with fullscreen slider – previous and next #867923We’re using a child theme anyway. I added the function to our functions.php but still when I click on the first project the control for the next project is on the left side and not on the right.
cheers, Julian
