Thank you for the suggestion. I have tried uploading and replacing a blank functions.php onto my website, but this hasn’t changed anything.

PS, I see my website was set to still display that cookie panel where you can’t do anything before accepting cookies.
Once accepted I see that the reCaptcha doesn’t display the error message and the button is there.
It’s a pretty useless to stop visitors as soon as they arrive so this isn’t a workable solution to fix the contact page.
I am tempted to just go back to the Enfold Numeric Captcha and just delete all the spam??
It’s so annoying as when I set it up they all worked perfectly!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Despite trying all the combinations the wretched message is still there.

I think it might actually be something to do with the Google Settings? have you done a search for the error message itself?

“This contact form is deactivated because you refused to accept Google reCaptcha service which is necessary to validate any messages sent by the form”

There are 472,000 pages displaying this message. So hard to imagine they are all to do with Enfold???

I think you are perhaps in fix-it mode rather than new ideas that might be helpful.

I am using Colour Sections as a way to group elements together – into a folder if you like. So YES I do want to put full screen sliders into this folder.

The Collapsable Colour section tip is great thank you!

The dynamic galleries would work in a similar way to the Portfolio Grid where it would display the images depending on what categories they are in. Or perhaps like having Tags in posts. Maybe something to think of for the future.

I create quite complex pages so rather than altering the responsive settings on each element I place all the same elements together in a COLOUR SECTION.

This works well except for two limitations:

Full Screen and Full Width sliders can’t be put into the section.
I have successfully manually adding the script to open and close the section so the only problem seems to be in the actual implementation on the back end.

For super complex pages it is difficult to navigate the backend so perhaps the Colour Sections could be COLLAPSABLE?

I have found the cause. There was an old function script that needed to be deleted:

Thanks for getting in touch.
The shortcodes are part of WooCommerce. Before I tried using that wretched plugin the odd error message never appeared.
Writing my own shortcodes looks pretty complicated. Perhaps not helped by WordPress’s incomplete instructions, where does the PHP code go etc??

Sorry. It still doesn’t work! The update page says: 4.8.8.1. But I think the latest version is 4.8.9. So this is running the one from DropBox.

I have quit and restarted Safari and deleted the cache. So not sure what else to do?

Is the easiest way to do this to delete the NEW Enfold in the themes panel then upload the OLDER zipped folder? How do I delete a theme in WordPress Admin?

Or maybe using FTP rename the newer version something, then upload an unzipped version of the older Enfold folder?
