I removed it from the quick CSS menu and added it to the child theme style.css page at the very top and ‘leave a comment’ is still showing up…..
Here is a screenshot of my css page https://imgur.com/JFMbjWG
Here is the link to the post I’m testing – https://abihomeservices.com/brown-recluse-spider-in-kentucky/
Thanks guys.
Yep. Still showing the leave a reply in the TOC.
Thanks but that didn’t seem to do anything at all. Would something other CSS work perhaps?
How bizarre. I uploaded it through Filezilla myself. But thanks all the same.
Just saw I mistyped the username. My bad
The php folder in that directory has 775 permission. Everything is checked except public ‘write’
Not sure why the FTP isn’t working for you. I’m using the same one.
I’ve already uploaded the file that Victoria linked to and it didn’t change anything.
No. Still getting the 404. :(
So will I need to do this on every update? I don’t understand how a fresh packet downloaded from CC would not have the updated file in it?
Wouldn’t having a newly installed version take care of this? I’m a bit concerned about Rikard not seeing the same version that I do.

??? That is not what I see under my Admin Panel. I see 4.7.6.3
Are you sure you are looking at the right site?
Here is a screenshot from mine. https://www.dropbox.com/s/crzcn3ytq82o75g/Enfold%20Update.jpg?dl=0
I ran a manual update and it seems to be on the current version now. Not sure why the auto is not functioning again.
Login provided. Thanks, guys!
Is the auto-update broken again? It’s not prompting me to run an update, and if I check things manually it still says everything is up to date.
I did. Nothing. I also dl’d a new Enfold packet from CodeCanyon but can’t find the path. I don’t think it’s visible until you install the theme, but I’m way over my technical ability here so please correct me if I’m wrong. I appreciate the try. The frontpage was due a facelift anyway so I guess now is a perfect time.
I understand, but can anyone explain how ‘excessive’ markups would cause 2/3 of a page that was created years ago just disappear if you try to do change anything on any of the elements. I’ve already tried to remove that line of code all together and it just deletes everything on the refresh.
Revisions have been turned on. Once the page is changed, they will show. Once any change is made, most of the page gets erased.
I backed up the live site with a fresh backup, completely deleted that element of the page (the one with the font tag) and saved it. Everything but the top 3 containers disappeared after the refresh.
I’m showing your user is already set to Admin. https://imgur.com/GLftOVj
I have a copy of the site running on a staging server that you can do whatever you want. It’s a test site so feel free to edit as needed. The login URL is in the private section.
That is the strange part- this page was built 3-4 years ago and hasn’t been touched since. I’ve added the code to my child theme functions.php file.
From my testing this afternoon it seems ONLY the homepage is being affected. I can’t get any other page or post to do this.
Just replied. Thanks.
Update – Working in a staging area now and after deactivating ALL plugins I still lose nearly all content on the page once I click update. I’m not removing these items, they just disappear. I’m still testing to try and narrow things down but it doesn’t seem to be happening on Post.
Hmm….is there a way I can delete old transients manually? The plugin is leaving some behind even after I choose delete all. There is one labeled update_theme that say never expires. http://imgur.com/a/Fzz06#sieuXQ5 I have Enfold on two other sites (on this sever) and everything is fine, has been for years. What could possibly make this one different that is won’t auto update?
The debug box did show back up once I cleared the browser.
Yep, clearing the browser did the trick. Couple of questions:
1. Was the site not prompting me to auto update just a bug? Should it work from now on? Can I delete the Transient plugin?
2. Does the latest version of Enfold remove the debug box from the bottom of the ALB if you have debug on. I hadn’t noticed but it’s gone on all my installs.
Thanks as always. You guys are the best.
Ok. I grabbed a fresh install pack from CCanyon and replaced the whole Enfold theme folder. That did the trick on getting me up to date, but did not solve the problem of having no option to save as template.
I deactivated all ten plugins that are installed and they changed nothings…..
Also, on a side related note. It looks like when I replaced the theme folder that it turned off debug mode (that I want on). I still have these lines present in my child theme folder (see below), and I don’t remember placing anything in the parent folder to make this turn on, but maybe I did…
I’m sure you can tell I’m out of dept here. Any help is greatly appreciated.
`<?php
/*
* Add your own functions here. You can also copy some of the theme functions into this file.
* WordPress will use those functions instead of the original functions then.
*/
//set builder mode to debug
add_action(‘avia_builder_mode’, “builder_set_debug”);
function builder_set_debug()
{
return “debug”;
}`I tried to activate the Enfold theme (non child) and run the auto-update but it does not recognize that one is needed. Also those same 5 Transients are still in place and will not go away or delete. Thanks again.
Well crap, I didn’t notice the actual version number. I just saw that its not prompting me to run an update. I did as I was instructed here and it still won’t auto update. Perhaps I did something wrong when setting up the Child Theme?
These refuse to go away. I’ve not a clue what these mean, so any help is greatly appreciated it.
Should I download the a new Enfold pack from CC and manually drop the whole folder in my themes folder, (not the child theme) to try to update?
Or do I activate the Enfold theme (not child) try to update, then re-activate the Child?
Just don’t want to screw anything up here.
Thanks again guys. Your knowledge with these stuff in invaluable.
Here you go. Thanks for the help Yigit.
