Worked like a charm!
Actually, charms don’t work, so worked BETTER than a charm!Thank you very much…my layerslider is MUCH happier!
This reply has been marked as private.Once again, you guys get a perfect 10. EXACTLY what I was looking for — and I fear I didn’t EXPLAIN what I was looking for at all well.
Thank you. I am delighted.
Apologize for not answering sooner. It works to perfection!
At first it didn’t, but then realized that although I had cleared my browser cache, I hadn’t cleared out my Total Cache.
Then, it worked perfectly.
Thank you so much. It was the solution, which I couldn’t have figured out on my own.
Wow, Michael, you are very kind!
I DO use Enfold, but apparently the layerslider that’s included in the Enfold is “bundled” and works only at full width…you can’t drag it into the Color Block in the Advanced Layout Builder (ALB).
Therefore, it’s not quite full featured, which is fine, but I didn’t understand why it couldn’t be dragged into the Color Block. I thought I was using the wrong technique.
By “Full Page” versus “Full Frame,” I’m not sure what you mean.
In the Enfold theme demo at http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview, the Home > Home V7 says it’s a “Full Screen” Slider.
Do you describe that as “Full Page” or “Full Frame”? It fills the screen “above the fold.”
Your instructions not only have helped me immensely, am betting this will see major traffic for people trying to accomplish this same task.
Thank you very much!
And have a terrific day.
Ismael, the thread is: #378704
But, I have an update…not sure if that should be here or there?
I had Localhost version of the site, so could massacre at will.
Removed layerslider, still had problem. Just kept slicing bits of the site off. Still had problem. Decided to start at beginning.
Installed new WordPress.
Installed Enfold.
installed Enfold-Child.
Made Enfold-Child my theme in Appearance > Theme.
Installed WooCommerce.
Imported Demo Data.
Made single MegaMenu entitled “MegaMenu” and made its Location Main Menu on Enfold.Put in “normal” stuff on the newly created menu entitled “MegaMenu”
Put in Line 1 – marked as Megamenu with checkbox.
Put in Line 1-2 over from Line 1.
Put in Line 2 — same level as Line 1
Put in Line 2-2 over from Line 2.Looked like this:
My Account
Checkout
Cart
Shop
Sample Page
Mega Menu Here
Link 1
Link 1-2
Link 2
Link 2-2Worked fine.
Then, in Quick CSS put in the title_container bit to remove breadcrumbs and space where breadcrumbs sit. Looks like this:
.title_container {
display: none!important;
}All the pages BUT WooCommerce have happy MegaMenu.
BUT…
On WooCommerce’s SHOP, the MegaMenu is chopped off.
There is nothing but original stuff in style.css and in functions.php in Enfold.Child.
Do you have any suggestions on what I could do to solve this idiosycracy on the more complex working site?
Thanks again for looking into this.
To see this oddity of “partial megamenu, since you don’t have access to my Localhost, you can go to:

I misspoke. What I meant to say (and although Enfold is wonderful, it doesn’t read minds!) is: “Is there any way to specify a color change of the TITLE via CSS when you hover over the masonry box or image?”
So, hover over image, see av-inner-masonry-content:hover change of red appear…
Otherwise, in order to see the av-inner-masonry-content:hover of red, you would have to hover over the actual area you want to turn red.
Is this any clearer? I can try again.
Well, that explains it!
Interesting, though…if it’s in boxed layout the full-width isn’t full width, right?
Does that mean it “gets” different CSS to cause that?
Just what I needed to change font size for normal stuff.
I also did the first item above with :hover after it.
That will change color, font, whatever when I hover over the title line itself.
Is there any way to specify the title when I hover over the masonry image itself?
(But, yes, you answered EXACTLY what I first asked. Now, I’m just getting greedy!)
Thanks, Ismael.
I will double-check on HTML codes…don’t remember any, but :}
Yes, on 3.04 version.
I’ll double-check the HTML, too.
Andy, thank you.
Michael kindly also helped me to understand how to do this, so I’ve been playing with it.
Glad to nail down that layerslider is “platform” to do it in.
I still would appreciate knowing
“Can’t seem to put Layerslider in Color Block…would that be how this would be done?”Is it POSSIBLE to put Layerslider in Color Block?
Thanks in advance!
Originally, this site had a STRETCHED layour and I was going to use the BOXED layout on a few pages. Thought I might be able to just create a Template.
To test your suggestion, I have changed to BOXED layout and thrown up a dotted body background, so you can easily see the changes.
(I was testing on Localhost before…)
Front page with boxed layout with the dots body background is here:
http://www.eurobeautygroup.com/A boxed layour WooCommerce archive page with the dots body background is here:
http://www.eurobeautygroup.com/collection/nutrimoor-dry-skin_cn/A boxed layour WooCommerce archive page overridden by your CSS is here.
http://www.eurobeautygroup.com/collection/hydravive-moisturizing_cn/On the latter, No dots are visible…No body background
The slider is full width and un-boxed.You will notice that the header part is left-justified and not full width.
Since background is specified in Boxed, would presume going from Stretched to Boxed would be much more complex?
Any ideas?
Thanks for checking this out. Strange, I would have thought this would be a more common question.
Yes, it worked, but…
I used for the page-id, as you suggested AND for .boxed#top.term-173{…} — both worked for everything but top header and menu, which moved to left, but remained boxed.
(For anyone searching for this answer, I found I needed !important in the CSS to make it work for me.)
Is there an additional “bit of magic” I need to make those two items span the entire page — to make boxed into stretched?
Thanks…Enfold is great!

Wonderful, wonderful!
I spent ages trying to figure that out.
Appreciate those “experienced eyes!”
Thanks again.
Thanks, Michael!
I looked at what they did and it seems as if the image (of food or something) is one image (jpg) and the text and shadowing is another image (png, as you mentioned.)
I suppose I could group the images together and call that the background on a layerslider. Is that what you meant? As the Appearance – Background image on the total slider itself?
Then do more pngs with the shadowed text and use one png per individual slide?
Didn’t quite get your “place your text image under the slider (or the slider on top of the text image), add text slides to the slider.”?
Thank you very much for answering. I’ve seen this technique in multiple places on the web — where the image stays the same and words change, instead of both changing — or just images changing.
Maybe more communicative and less confusing than constantly changing images.
Thank you for your help. I’ll look into it further.
January 13, 2015 at 12:49 am in reply to: Carriage Return or LineFeed Not Working Consistently #378591Thank you for your help.
Thank you, Elliott!
I appended different background-color and color for the two statements above, just to see exactly what they did.
I see the .avia-arrow changes as sort of an upside down stick figure of a house (two sides and pointed roof on bottom) — which I can understand.
I see no changes at all for the avia-testimonial-wrap.
Can you tell me what that is supposed to do? Maybe I need to tweak?
Thanks
Still experimenting with Enfold, so no link.
Possibly the triangle in question would be avia-arrow? It extends from the bottom of the testimonial box.
You can see it on http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview in the Testimonial Slider.
There is a tiny circular image of the person. To the right of that image is their name and title.
Above the circle is a box with the quote from the person.Below that quote box, but above the circular image is a tiny little nib/triangle — that is what I’d like to increase the size of, if possible.
Is it an image? Or part of the font? Thanks for checking this out!
December 4, 2014 at 9:06 pm in reply to: FrontPage Shop Slider – Enfold Default Demo – How to Import? #363226Thanks for letting me know…I’ll check it out.
Thank you. I shall try your suggestions!
November 30, 2014 at 8:43 pm in reply to: Put fullwidth sub menu on top of FullScreen Slider #360395Josue, I am sorry. I am getting to know your Enfold first on Localhost. So unfortunately I won’t be able to send you a url.
But I thank you very much for your suggestion.
To see what I did in its barest form, edit the One-Pager (FrontPage) from the Restaurant Demo.
In the far-right-hand column of “Layout,” change “Header visibility and Transparency” from ‘Transparent Header’ to ‘Hide Header on This Page.’
Above the full screen slider, drag Fullwidth Sub Menu (“FWSM”) fron Avia Layout Builder’s “Content Elements” tab.
I set the menu on that to the same Main_Menu that came with the demo.
I would like this sub menu to have same appearance as it had with the transparent header.
However, it appears to me (I would really LIKE to be proved mistaken!) that the fullwidth sub menu is ABOVE the slider, not floating on layer on top of slider, so possibly CSS cannot help? (I have rudimentary understanding of CSS.)
I would ultimately like to put a specific (non-Main_Menu) menu in the FWSM
so I can use this concept on multiple long one-pagers on specific subjects…with different menus over sliders.Possibly I can dynamically change menu used in this location based on page — that way I could
use the “transparent header” bit as it is in Demo?Otherwise the IDEAL way would be to be able to use the FWSM and put in
a particular menu on a particular page. Thanks again for your interest!
I have set up debug on the Localhost, so could send you the actual shortcodes from
the bottom, but — really — all I did was what I cited above.Do you have better way of accomplishing this task that you might suggest?
Thanks in advance.
