Changing the size is easy. I did that in the advanced styling sections. I want to change the style from the body copy style (open sans) to the heading font which is Oswald. That’s what I need to know.
Thanks

Actually, My error! I forgot to change it in the “transparency logo” within the transparency options for the home pg header configuration.
you may close this now.disaster.
I totally redid the logo and it shows up perfectly on the sub page:
http://cttdev2.cagraphicdesign.biz/a-typical-day-at-camp/BUT not on the home page! I made it exactly 340×156 and I tried different height settings including 156px and 164px but no luck.
see this:
http://cttdev2.cagraphicdesign.bizCould there be some other css that is preventing it from showing up?
I will add the login to the private content so you can have a look.My client is “breathing down my neck” to get this right so the sooner I can resolve this the better!
Thanks for your help with all this!

You can close this queryOctober 14, 2015 at 3:23 am in reply to: Transparent & glossy header- small bar above main menu #518470I have a better idea… Is there a way to have the top bar NOT show up on the home page but remain on the other pages…We really don’t need it on the home page but would like it on the other pages we plan to add which use the standard header.
October 13, 2015 at 10:03 pm in reply to: Transparent & glossy header- small bar above main menu #518412No, I was referring to the optional top bar where one can add social icons or phone number. You can see it here as a red bar:
http://cttdev2.cagraphicdesign.biz/a-typical-day-at-camp/But on the transparent glassy header page it has no background:

Not quite working ;-(
Is there a way that ONLY the BOTTOM WITHOUT FRAME moves up? With your code all of the captions move up.
And when I tried a LEFT WITHOUT FRAME it still went on two lines. Would it help if I put this css near the top of my css changes since it has the !important included?http://cttdev2.cagraphicdesign.biz/
Thanks for your help. I know we will get it right this time.
Sorry, your response to this message came after my other message I posted. The client changed a bunch of things so I now have a new issue about these captions which I posted on another query. So let’s close this out and I will continue on with the other query which, by the way, you had responded to already
Thanks for your understanding.Addendum to the above first question about the font being bolded. I discovered that it is an issue with Google Chrome and how it renders certain google fonts. It did not behave that way in Safari or Firefox.
So I just await your response to questions 2 – 4
ThanksThanks! it worked. However I made some changes so now the custom css will need to reflect this.
1. I changed the font to Pacifico which was no problem. However I noticed that whatever font I use in the caption titles, they look bolded. Is there a way to display titles unbolded?
2. They are no longer on a framed background and I do not know the correct code terminology for that so the positioning code was no longer working. That said, below are revised positions:
3. I need to move UP the Center position about 50 px
4. positioning: I need to move UP the Bottom position about 30 pxThank you again for your help!
ClaudiaMY BAD! I found where to add a fifth widget! I see that I FIRST HAVE TO CHOOSE 5 COLUMNS IN THE ENFOLD THEME OPTIONS in the footer tab! Then, it shows up in the Widgets page!
Apologies. You may close this.Wow, that seems a bit complicated. I hesitate to do all that to the parent theme ( I made a child theme) . I think I misunderstood the thing I read about 5 columns in the footer. I guess that is way different than 5 widgets. See this post : #254693
I think I need to understand more about footer content…I thought the only content that can go in there is widgets. Any tutorials explaining footer content?
ThanksOctober 6, 2015 at 4:37 pm in reply to: Reduce space between text boxes on colored background #514556Thanks you can close this
This worked perfectly!
You can close this subjectI THINK I sent you a response in Private Content but I don’t see it in my thread soI am resending. Below is a link to the website. I added login credentials to the private content area

October 3, 2015 at 2:25 pm in reply to: Reduce space between text boxes on colored background #513149That worked! Now I assume that if I want to do the same to another page I repeat the same css code and change .page-id-146 to that particular page but I do not understand exactly what a page id is…is it just the url? How do I figure out what the page id is for a page?

OH! I missed that option about glassy&transparent instead of just transparent!
This looks better now.
Thanks!Perfect!
The transparent menu items worked! But I do not think you understood the second part…I don’t want a white border but I want to add a white transparent overlay to the entire header container so the whole area behind the logo and menu is lighter than the rest of the image. In terms of opacity, a 0.3.
Thanks again!1. The code worked perfectly. But instead of solid color what code would I add to make it 40% transparent?
2. Related to this, is there a way to add a 10% screen of white to the whole header container?I am 64 and If I were younger I would take the time to learn code!

Hi Rikard
This is very mysterious. I saw that the code was incorrect and assumed it was because I created it in a practice page using shortcodes, then copying over the text version to a text widget for the header widget. That said, I started fresh using your code. I placed it in the header text widget and in the footer text widget…
it works fine in the footer but not in the header…very strange. Feel free to log in to the back end…maybe I did not create that header widget correctly.here is the code that is in both widgets now:
<h2>[av_font_icon icon='ue836' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='post,1' linktarget='' size='40px' position='left' color='#ffffff']
[/av_font_icon]<span style=”color: #002d73;”>ENROLL NOW!</span>
<span style=”color: #002d73;”> 800-862-2678</span></h2>I also want to add a search box there but when I tried adding that widget (which comes with the theme) under the text widget, the text widget would not show up.
Looking forward to your response to this and the query above.Hi Rkard
I have an “experiment” subsite in which I downloaded your demo content. So it it specifically this page:
http://cagraphicdesign.biz/enfolddev/?page_id=2890Another question about how you constructed that page… there is something that is causing the white content below the slider to move up as I scroll down. How is that achieved? Is that what parallax is?
Sorry, I had to jump onto another Enfold website design with a crazy deadline and I won’t get back to this for a week! Can I ask you a question conderning another matter on the new site… I have the header area chosen for the logo flush left and menu items below it. I understand that you can make the logo area deeper but not wider than 340. Is there some coding I can do to extent that 340 to maybe 440? It is now 177 high.
I spoke with Bluehost, the hosting company and found out that my client had changed the url after she established the website. I did notice a redirect to another URL when I would sign-in. The tech saw that there were two urls in the WordPress database. I am not sure exactly what he meant but he explained that WordPress does not like that sort of thing, deleted the other url and now everything is working!!!
That said, I did not have to delve into the .htaccess…Whew! Thank you so much for looking into this and especially for offering to edit the .htaccess. You guys are really great. I am going to spread the word at my wordpress meetups and at the upcoming Atlanta Wordcamp !
Two problems…
1. I want to make sure I am looking in the right place…I have little experience finding my way in the directory…I am using filezilla THe first .htaccess file I see is directly in the public html folder, the wordpress folder is empty but the wordpress-admin folder hs a .htaccess file as well.
2. I never worked with that sort of file. My plan is to download the file to my desktop, then open it using text wrangler and add the code, then upload it to replace the file already on the site. However, when I download it to my desktop I cannot find it! My Filezilla sees it on my desktop but it is “invisible” to me in my Finder. I even tried saving it to a folder but same problem. could it be that it needs an extension to be seen? I am on a mac.The bigger more worrisome question is why is this the only site I worked on with this problem? Has this happened to other sites? I inherited the site and notices some odd wordpress behavior but Wordfence comes up clean.

OK. Please keep this case open for a while as I would like to get the client’s FTP login as well.
No, I did not. I will give that a try. It still doesn’t explain why it shows up in the backend but not when viewing it. Maybe one of the plugins do something with cache?
OK. Now, for the other problem… as i mentioned in a previous thread that I now inadvertently deleted…
I forgot to create child theme and I have done hours of work on the theme design. I followed the instructions and uploaded the the child theme and imported all the settings. They all appeared in the backend settings of the child theme just as expected but when I looked at live website, only the logo showed up…none of my advanced stylings, header background image showed. I tried several browsers that have not viewed this site before and still not working. THe weird thing is, it does show up in the child theme backend! -
