Hi Mike, I tested this out again. I saw the modifications from the previous developers in the child theme files: register-widget-area.php, register-admin-options.php, and footer.php and assumed that the modifications in the child theme were working to make the six columns. Upon closer investigation, it appears that the footer column modifications in the child theme never worked. The previous developers made those changes to the parent theme files and those changes were wiped out when the theme was updated.

I redid the steps to create six columns, but I can’t seem to override the include files in the parent theme. Can you help me out with that?
