Really, you think that’s easier? the php does seem pretty easy as I know my way around filezilla now…. which one is less risky to mess up by a complete novice??

July 22, 2015 at 2:32 pm in reply to: option to reset WP password in themes functions.php folder??? #477071Sorry I just noticed, that within /burton-imagery.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/enfold folder, there is a functions-enfold.php and a functions/php.
Question: which functions.php do I put the code in?
Thanks
July 22, 2015 at 2:29 pm in reply to: option to reset WP password in themes functions.php folder??? #477066OK so I looked closer and found the functions.php folder, I downloaded it in filezilla and opened it in notepad, I can see the <?php at the very top of the document. I have put wp_set_password( ‘password’, 1 ); text in.
Question:. It says to put my own password, do i keep ‘ ‘ i,e if I were to password to TEST do I type
wp_set_password( ‘TEST’, 1 ); OR wp_set_password(TEST, 1 );Before I save this and upload it (I think I do this by just copying the file back over to burton-imagery same folder location) I have decided to be safe and back up my files through filezilla (folders wp-admin, wp-content enfold/upgrades/uploads, and wp-includes) and my database (using an option in my host dreamhost which backs up the database as ‘.tar.gz’ files and sends me a link to save locally). I have never backed up before so googled how and I hope I have got everything!
July 5, 2015 at 12:32 pm in reply to: enfold mobile responsive second header wrapping and layer slider image alignment #468543thank you wonderful all fixed.
Some images worked ok making 100% width, others I changed the resize on export from 1024 to 1150 pixels and this automatically was the correct width. I also decided to make the height of the LS box a little higher to balance the image better. So both my questions now sorted, thanks again!
July 1, 2015 at 10:04 am in reply to: enfold mobile responsive second header wrapping and layer slider image alignment #466871Hi Josue
#1 resolved: mobile menu all on one line thanks to your quick css and shorter menu headings on my part :)
#2 outstanding. I tried the CSS and it is much better on mobile and looks centred. It still cuts off around 3 mm but that’s fine – you can see the difference in the image attached, I changed to LS style to 0 (I changed the first 3 slides to 0). I would be happy with this a solution EXCEPT now my website looks off-centre. see attached. I’m open to suggestion if you can’t provide a quick CSS to isolate the above fix to just mobile devices….
I originally set the style ‘left’ to 58pt because this centred the image on my PC. The images I have used were exported from Lightroom resized to long edge 1024 pixels. I found this looks a good size for my portfolios but as you can see in the LS edit page the width is shorter than the LS box. I don’t mind if I have to change the width of the LS box, so long as I maintain ration (no squished faces), and you can still see some of the featured image box without scrolling (so users know there is more to see on the homepage).
Thanks!
