Hi Ismael. I’m assuming the screenshot above is for the existing layout. In order to make this work, I’ve actually removed any title above the article and am using the existing permalink as post title to avoid any duplication. I’ve not placed any title within the text box. (I’ve included a screenshot to illustrate.) Initially, I wanted to place an H1 title in the text box as I understand that it is critical for SEO purposes but it appears as a duplicate title below the permalink. Pls advise how best to make this work with Enfold. Thanks.

    Hi Yigit,
The link you sent was quite useful but not quite what I had in mind. Please refer to the screenshot I sent. I’m referring to the permalink which appears as another duplicate title for the post. How can I avoid this? Or would it be best to have the permalink as the title itself (currently what I have) since it seems to be appearing as heading one (H1) anyway. I hope we can resolve/clarify this as I seem to be getting responses that do not address the issue. Thanks.

Another follow-up: In order to avoid a duplicate title, I just removed the title text in the post and allowed the permalink to appear as the title. It looks ok but does will SEO effectively consider this as my H1? I understand that it is important to clearly define the H1 and H2 tags so this is my concern.

Hi. This is a followup to the question above: When I said ‘remove the permalink’ I meant – to NOT have it visible as another title in the blog post. I understand that it is essential for the site’s ranking but I don’t want it to appear redundantly above the H1 heading and title of the post when the page is published. Currently the permalink is appearing as another title and as it is the same as the H1, it just repeats on the top of the page.

Kindly advise how this can be fixed. Thanks.

Hi. I’ve just gone through the documentation and tried all the codes and none of them made any difference even with the functions indicated.
I’m not a developer but I don’t see how these will help display a different slider. I’ve tried going through other forum replies and tried adding other quick css codes but none of them are making a difference on the slider size (specifically for height) on mobile either. Pls advise what I might be missing as the slider is really tiny on mobile phones and the text is not readable.

Also, please address the image size on mobile which does not fit accordingly on mobile unlike on desktop. Will this be resolved as well once I’m able to ‘display a different slider which is made for mobile devices’?

Hoping for your quick reply. Thanks.

Also, kindly address the second matter:
    2. Another followup inquiry about the slider – I likewise noticed that the slider image does not stretch / adjust on mobile (tablet and mobile phone) as it does on desktop (leaving white spaces on the left side and right side). How could I resolve this issue and what is the ideal way to resize photos in order to perfectly fit the sliders on both mobile and desktop? Thanks.

    Hi Yigit,

The documentation you pointed out seems to deal with hiding elements on mobile. Do they apply to enlarging the slider on mobile phones as well? Again, the height on tablets is fine but they’re disproportionately small on mobile phones.

    Pls clarify. Thanks

Hi. As I’ve not received a reply on this thread, I’ve posted the questions under a new topic.

Hi Rikard. I have since re-configured the slider settings which resolved the enlarged slider. However, after adjusting the slider height to smaller dimensions, I noticed that it was disproportionately small on mobile. Slider height on tablets are acceptable but height is too small on mobile phones. Please advise how I can resolve this? Would a quick CSS help or do I need to change the slider settings itself?

in reply to: Slider Enlarged #533954

As an additional question (and in order to reverse the unintentional change), kindly advise how/where I could make the slider smaller (reduce its height) in order to see more elements above the fold.
    Thanks.

in reply to: Inserting advertising #531697

Follow up to inquiry: I have figured out a way to insert the image within the blog page sidebar (through the text widget) but still have not been able to insert any image within the sidebar for the blog page section (link in private content). Pls advise how I might get it done. Thank you.

Hi. I’ve been trying to add an image/advertising widget to the blog sidebar for a while and nothing seems to be working. Tried a plugin or through a text widget with image link in the content box. Pls advise what i might be doing wrong. Thanks.

    Hi Ismael,

Thanks for the reply. I’m hoping to add ads contracted by us directly and not by google adsense. Would that then require the Advertising area widget?

in reply to: Inserting advertising #523859

Just a clarification – after reading up on the differences between a child and parent theme, it does seem like my theme just like others using Enfold is considered as a child theme. (Do correct me if I’m wrong)

in reply to: Inserting advertising #523843

Below are samples of ads on the right side that I had in mind (see link below).
Also, the link you provided seems to discuss child themes – would this be applicable for my site as well as I dont think we’re using a child theme?
Lastly, I’m a novice in wordpress (and your instructions sound slightly intimidating), would inserting ads be manageable on my own without a web developer?

Hi. I have updated the theme and this resolved the issue above. Thanks.

    It worked great, thank you!

Just a follow up question on the masonry elements:
When you mouse over or hover over the images, the file names of the photos appear. Is there a way to disable this?

    Hi there,

I tried the code above it (with your suggested substitutions) and the top menu background remains unchanged. I wanted to confirm that this would go in the Quick CSS box, right? Could you pls take another quick look at the code to confirm?

As for the email icon, could you instead just point out where I can locate and modify the scroll-up button (on the lower right of screen)? The line separator, on the other hand, has already been done.

    Thanks.
