These are W3 Cache files. I’ve disabled this for the moment and the site is performing as before.
You can close this ticket.
Thanks
StevenApril 29, 2016 at 3:44 pm in reply to: WP background Lite – all settings as advised – but not working #624586Hi Andy,
Sorry if I was unclear. I would like to change the background for each page and in previous threads your team has suggested WP background lite and settings for this plugin (as well as ‘boxed layout’).
I have implemented these setting but the background isn’t showing: http://urbantu.design/atest-images/
Thanks
StevenHi Ismael, thank you for the response. Should I be replacing “.avia-slideshow” with the name of the desktop slider I’d like to hide?
It doesn’t seem to remove the element – am I doing something wrong? http://christianmacleod.com/bluecmcampaign/
Steven
Thanks for the response. I’m using a child theme – does that matter?
And will this effect my page content?
Cheers
StevenThanks

Also, since a theme update the image overlay or image caption overlay now appears on hover. How can this be removed?
Thanks
StevenHi Dake, I’m using a child theme at the moment.
Steven
Hi, Sorry – the site experiences the same issue in Windows Internet Explorer.
I tried this amends (from previous support threads) but they did not work – .avia-mozilla img, .avia-mozilla a img { width: 100%; }
Could you someone please provide the solution asap – my client hopes to launch on Wednesday evening.
Thanks
StevenThanks Yigit – that’s solved it :)

Thanks Andy,
We wish to see the full height of the images – currently narrow (laptop browser) windows crop images from the bottom.
We also wish for the centre the slider vertically – currently taller (portrait ipad) windows position the slider at the top of the page.
Are either of these possible with the theme’s layout elements and media elements?
Cheers
StevenHi Ismael, I tried removing that code but the images still only resize to browser width and still get cropped to browser height.
If that’s not possible to resize the images, is it possible to have the images centred vertically in the slider? And to centre the slider vertically in the top color section (not at the top see the image – http://christianmacleod.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/IMG_0330.png)?
Thanks
StevenSorry, this page scroll link is ‘SHOP CHRISTIAN MACLEOD’
If you change your browser window height in http://www.chanel.com/en_GB/ you will see the images are responsive to the browser height.
If you look at http://christianmacleod.com/aastonmartin-3 the images are not responsive to the window height and get cropped.
You can view a screenshot of both sites here: http://christianmacleod.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Image-galleries.jpg
We require the images not to be cropped.
Thanks
StevenThe bg-ghost-area is so the bottom section slides over the top section (rather than a normal scroll) click SHOP COLLECTION to view.
We would like to have a slider that resizes images to the window height but if that’s not possible we would like the images to be centred vertically so they crop top and bottom if the browser window height is smaller.
Thanks
StevenHi Ismael, thanks for the suggestion – unfortunately that didn’t work either http://christianmacleod.com/aastonmartin-3
As an alternative, is it possible to have the slider images center aligned or aligned from bottom (rather than top)?
Cheers
StevenOkay, I will have a think about the costs associated with that.
Is it possible to center the image vertically rather than it cutting off the bottom?
Thanks
StevenHi Dake,
Thanks for the test but unfortunately a full screen slider doesn’t place into the color section either. You can see what we wish to achieve on this site: http://www.chanel.com/en_GB/
If you reduce height of your browser window you will see the whole image retains its proportions and fits to height.
Is it possible to have a slider in a color section to resize in a similar way?
StevenHi Dake, the login details I provided will get you into the backend. The current slider I am using crops the images and does not scale them.
Basically my client wishes to see all of their images in a slider in the top part of their website regardless of the height of the browser display.
Can you please try logging in to check if this is possible.
Thanks
StevenHi Dake, thanks for the quick response. I’m unable to place that fullwidth slider into the color section with 75% window height in the page layout.
Is it possible to have any slider scale images to the height of the div or section?
Cheers
StevenThis reply has been marked as private.Hi Josue, sorry that had no effect on the outcome.
I can get both easysliders to work when they’re appearing in order but I use {position: fixed; top: 0px;} to have them both stay at the top. Am I using the best method for that?
Thanks
StevenHi Yigit, thanks for the response. This works okay replacing two color sections until I place an easyslider in the hidden section. The toggle works to swap the sections but the second easyslider doesn’t appear. Can you see any reason for this?
http://christianmacleod.com/home-amswap1/
Toggle effect with ‘click me’ button
Hi Yigit, thanks for that!
Ideally I would like one section to replace the other so they swap-out. Is that possible?
Cheers
StevenSorry, I changed the name to http://christianmacleod.com/a-test-hide/
Thanks
StevenFebruary 19, 2015 at 12:21 pm in reply to: Safari bug on avia slideshow and Color Section z-index #398819Hi Yigit, thanks for the suggestion but the avia slideshow still loads new images to the top and the scrolling of the next section is still jumpy.
You can see the bug on a Mac and on iPad http://christianmacleod.com/home-2015
Hope this bug is something you can help with or Kriesi has seen before.
Thanks
StevenFebruary 17, 2015 at 2:11 pm in reply to: Safari bug on avia slideshow and Color Section z-index #397484Hi Elliott, thanks for responding.
I will have to pay a developer to look at this but before I do can you please ask another team member with a Mac (or Kriesi himself) in case this bug is known to them and confirm which part of the code should be looked at.
Many thanks
StevenHi Elliott, thanks for the information, I can also see the ease settings on the next line.
Cheers
StevenThis reply has been marked as private.Hi Elliot,
I can’t use the image background technique as I would like to use the image as a link and have a caption appear.
I’ve cropped the images and now have the effect is working okay:
http://christianmacleod.com/home-belts-image-cropHow can I change the opacity of the hover effect?
And is it possible to desaturate the colour of the image on rollover? Thanks
StevenHi Elliott,
Sorry the links didn’t work. The effect works with images in Color sections set to ‘100% window height’ here:
http://christianmacleod.com/home-belts-full-screen/Is there a way to achieve the same effect – full width image inside a Color section 100% window height?
http://christianmacleod.com/belts-image/
StevenHi Yigit,
I think you are looking at the wrong page ‘HOME-BELTS-FULL-SCREEN’ – http://christianmacleod.com/home-belts-full-screen/
These color sections have the desired look – background images centred vertically at 100%. However background images do not have hyperlink or caption function. The correct page is ‘HOME-BELTS-IMAGE’ – http://christianmacleod.com/belts-image/
Here the first two color sections have an image inside the section and inside a layout element. However both sections are full image height (larger than 100% screen size) and so the bottom of the image disappears.Current result:
http://christianmacleod.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Screen-Shot-2015-01-13-at-17.33.39.pngDesired result:
http://christianmacleod.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Screen-Shot-2015-01-13-at-17.33.48.pngBasically I wish to have a color section appear at 100% browser window height with an image inside centred vertically.
Hope that helps to clarify things.
