I’ve been testing using !important, making the exact same small changes on both staging and live and they aren’t taking effect on staging, no matter what. it’s like the stylesheet just isn’t updating. The .widgettitle rule on Live, for example, works as expected.

I’m thinking it’s a weird serverside issue, so I’m gonna contact my host. Thank you for taking a look, though!

in reply to: Masonry Gallery filtering and sorting, Portfolio Entries #1274431

    Hey Ismael,

In theory, each book would have multiple languages and up to four levels for each. The goal would be that once the user lands on the Book’s page, they can filter down to the Lang./Lvl they need and go to that book’s individual Portfolio Item to get the actual content. Pagination wouldn’t be a necessity, since the goal would be for the user to quickly sort the books down to the specific one they want and not browse. I would want all languages and levels of each book to display on its “shelf”, however.

I’ve been in communication with the dev of Search and Filter Pro on this, but couldn’t get the plugin to actually work with the Gallery elements, so I reverted to the built-in sorting for sake of the project’s timeline. I think it would do what I want if I could only get the thing to behave!

I know this was a shot in the dark but I thank you for your reply. If you have any ideas, I’m all ears!

Enfold seems to not like horizontal logos. Keeps reducing them down to an unacceptable size. This is a pretty severe bug. I can provide screenshots and user case/story.

in reply to: Header Background Image Doesnt Display full width #1210575

I am having this same issue. I’m not seeing the Image Size selection dropdown when I go to upload a background image in the Theme Options section. The image I’m trying to use is 2500px wide. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

in reply to: Weird Issue with 4.3 button element #954056

Right on, I really appreciate you taking the time to look into my issue. I’ll keep checking the theme updates for a fix.

Not to belabor the issue, but I just want to make sure my work-around is clear, in case anyone is having a similar issue:

    1. In order for all the desired products to appear in the dropdown, create a product that begins with Z, ZZ, etc. and set it to a category outside of the ones you want displayed (ie Not Displayed). This will cause the product starting with the next lowest letter in the alphabet to be displayed in the menu (albeit twice), along with all the others.

    2. To make sure the ZZ product doesn’t appear on the front end, use the ALE to build a separate Store page using the Product Grid module and exclude the Not Displayed category in the Items To Display option. You’ll need to redirect the Return to Shop button to the custom Store page in functions.php.

    That’s all I’ve got. Thanks!

Just updated another site that I manage using Enfold and WC and can confirm that this is not a site-specific issue. I’ve attached a screenshot for reference. Thanks!

in reply to: Weird Issue with 4.3 button element #952862

    Hi Nikko,

Thanks for getting back to me! I’ve deactivated all plugins except for WC and the issue remains.

To clarify my work-around, you shouldn’t expect to see the ZZ product in the drop list, but rather see the product that starts with the next earliest letter in the alphabet. For example, if you made a ZZZ product, you would then see the ZZ product listed twice in the dropdown. This is happening both when selecting to link to a Product and (though I wouldn’t necessarily need to do this) other Portfolio items.

The only other work-around that seems to be a solution would be to set each link manually, using each product’s URL. I did see a weird issue with this in my dev environment where the link would only open in a new tab, but it seems to work fine on the actual staged site. I’d rather not have the client do this, though, as it’s an extra step in the process and has the potential for user error.

Told ya it was a weird one! I would very much appreciate you looking into the issue further and if there’s anything at all I can do on my end to help, please let me know. Shasta!

in reply to: Weird Issue with 4.3 button element #950909

Sure thing! I’ve included a private Dropbox link to two images. One shows what the link selection dropdown is displaying and the other shows the current list of active products that should be displayed. You’ll see that the Product that starts with ZZ is being replaced by the one that starts with S, currently. Let me know if you need anything else on my end. Thanks!

    Thanks Yigit!

I tried TypeKit and that didn’t do the trick. I don’t wanna fiddle with any plugins during the work day, as the client is actively updating the site. I’ll go through it this evening and let you know what I come up with. Shasta!

I’m actually the author. There’s login creds in the private data area from my post back on the 25th. Let me know if you want me to still start a new thread, though. Shasta!

Ah, I see the confusion. That image is from the staging site, where the map is actually working, weirdly enough.

The url for the live site is yourcaninephd.com/contact-us/

in reply to: Google Maps, Advanced Editor error #706282

    Hi Yigit,

I’ve got v3.8 installed, though. I’ve attached a screenshot. Could the issue be arising from my child theme being based on an earlier version? That seems unlikely, but never hurts to ask, I guess. Shasta!

in reply to: Google Maps, Advanced Editor error #706265

I’ve done the hard refresh and still no love. I’ll try again, though.

I’ve pasted two links in the Private Data section, showing the site I’m working on. The map that is displaying is one I’ve placed using the Google Maps embed code. I’ve also pasted a sg showing the error console. Thanks!

in reply to: Google Maps, Advanced Editor error #706255

Ok, I’ve made that change, but it’s had no effect on the map element. It did fix other things, though. So thanks for that!

The map element seems to be encountering API key errors. I’ve created and entered a new API key and still no luck.

in reply to: Google Maps, Advanced Editor error #704439

I followed the steps laid out above and created a new API key. Still getting the same broken element on my live site.

Conversely, you can see the staging site is displaying the map correctly, here: http://www.caninephd.imperialwerewolfoctopus.com/contact-us/

Granted, the staging version is using an older version of Enfold as its parent theme.

in reply to: Google Maps, Advanced Editor error #704044

I’ve set up the KriesiSupport user on the site and provided the user creds. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do on my end to help. Thank you very much!

in reply to: ENFOLD – WOOCOMMERCE – CART #699286

I actually sorted out the social icon issue, so never mind that one. The Cart icon placement is still an active issue, though. Thanks!

in reply to: ENFOLD – WOOCOMMERCE – CART #699259

    Hi Andy,

Here’s a mockup link for what I’m talking about: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nvfjjpcnqdpbm83/boris-cart-mockups.jpg?dl=0

On a semi-related note, the custom Bandcamp social icon I created is now not displaying in the header. I can create a new issue for this, but if you see what may be causing that issue as well, go for it!

I followed this documentation to add it: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/custom-social-icons/

    Thanks!

in reply to: ENFOLD – WOOCOMMERCE – CART #697924

Thanks for your response, Andy! The position the cart icon is being displayed in is going against my settings in Theme Options.

Under Cart Options I have the Header Shopping Cart Icon position set as Always Display attached to Main menu. Also, it’s hard to tell, but the Cart icon is currently sitting on top of another social icon, in its current position. This can of course be fixed with css, but it shouldn’t even be in that area in the first place, unless the Cart Options setting I’ve chosen doesn’t apply to the Header Center/Above setting for some reason.

Thanks for taking the time to check things out, sorry I didn’t clarify all that sooner. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help resolve or if this is a deeper issue with the theme that will be addressed in a later update. Shasta!

in reply to: ENFOLD – WOOCOMMERCE – CART #697478

Ok, I’ve set the site header to Logo Center, Menu Below. This is a live site so I’d rather not leave the cart covering the social icons for too long. Thanks very much!

This is the site I’m working on: http://boris-records.com/

Like I said, I’ve switched header layouts to fix the issue, but if you’d like me to switch to the centered layout for testing the issue, I can. Thanks!

in reply to: ENFOLD – WOOCOMMERCE – CART #682954

I am having this exact same issue with a new install of Enfold. Would it be possible to get some assistance as well? The code in that section of config.php seems to have grown…

in reply to: WordPress 4.1 problem with mediaelement.js #439990

    hi there!

I am having this same issue, i believe, on a site i now manage that was built by a previous dev.

here’s the hitch: the previous dev built a custom theme off of the initial Enfold install and did not make a child theme. so my guess is that when WP 4.1 came about (or Enfold 3.0) there was an update and something pooped the bed.

here is the url for the page in question: http://bd.bdpac.wpengine.com/data-room/ (hosted on WPengine)

as you can see the two audio players are all fakakta. any help you can offer with this issue would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

in reply to: Is there a way to control the shrinking logo position? #437546

ok, i’ve removed the suggested rule and have it set to how i originally had it. what i’m looking to resolve is the manner in which the logo shrinks, anchored to the left. what i’d like is for it to shrink based on its center. currently it snaps over into the correct position after it is scrolled all the way.

here are screenshots of what i’m talking about, you can also see the behavior by scrolling slowly on the site.

in reply to: Is there a way to control the shrinking logo position? #436428

well, that may be a solution that the client may like, but i think they’ll want to stick with the shrinking logo effect.

that being the case, what i’m looking for is to have the logo shrink on scroll aligned to its top-center vertex rather than its top-left, as it does currently. the goal is to keep it positioned in the center of the detail of the header background image. so any help there would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the alternate idea, though!
