Ahh, thanks…
The link I posted was meant to go to the theme sample for Enfold Church. I imagine that was using the Events Calendar plugin you mentioned.
Thanks for that!

Hi Rikard,
Actually I figured it out late last night. For some strange reason my WordPress user profile became corrupted and my hosting provider engineer fixed it which gave me access again. I do not remember deleting the classic editor but what I did was installed and activated that plugin again and then went into my user profile and chose “Block Editor”. This returned everything to the way I am used to and remember.
I was wondering however due to the WordPress and Enfold theme updates what was the current correct set up?
Do I still need to keep the Classic Editor plugin after WordPress 5.9 and Enfold 4.8 updates?
Thanks!

I do use a caching plugin (lite speed) and noticed that “Delete old CSS and JS Files” WAS activated. So I just de – activated it. According to what you were saying, perhaps this was the issue?
Yes, I am aware but was hoping to find a solution that was a bit more robust.
Thanks anyways,

Sure, so I noticed after doing a theme update from within wordpress that my site no longer looked right at all, hard to describe, but all the look and feel was gone, almost seemed like a generic blog posts and links. Was this way with all the browsers, so I called my hosting provider who looked at it and said it seemed like the style sheets could have been corrupted.
They suggested that I download a fresh copy of the theme from Theme Forest and manually upload it via FTP (I use Transmit). Which is how I used to update my enfold theme. Anyways, I did that and it resolved all the problems and the site went back to normal.
So the theory is that the process of updating the them from within WordPress may have caused the issue?
Are you saying that I should not have any concern in doing it this way?
I guess the one advantage of updating via FTP is that I can make a copy of the older version of the theme first incase I need to return to it for some reason?
August 2, 2021 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Plugin or technique to create password protected pages? #1313989Hey Rikard,
Sure, essentially I am looking for what could be described as a workflow solution for photographers. I use lightroom to process photo shoots and then to share them with clients, I export them with lightroom which creates a folder of images and html pages. Then I upload them into a public folder of my site and share the link with the client, like this for example: https://www.gregorybeylerian.com/clientshoot/gabanddan12420/
I am looking for a better way that would be integrated into my web site so the images are viewed within my site with the name and Nav bar above and even have password login capability that could notify me each time someone logs in to view the images.
Does anything like this exist for Enfold, or a plugin to add such capability?
Thanks,
GB
July 30, 2021 at 7:35 pm in reply to: Whats better, update theme from inside WordPress or manually using Transmit? #1313509Hi,
Thanks, yes I too used to follow the FTP method you outline, then I switched to updating from within WordPress which worked without a hiccup for a year or two until last week.So I am tempted to return back to the original method which at the expense of time does provide the old theme as a revert to option.
Wondering what the theme developers opinion is on this issue?
Thanks,

July 29, 2021 at 6:31 pm in reply to: Updated to Google Analytics 4 and broke the connection. #1313308Hi,
Thanks for looking into it. It’s strange because at the time when I posted, my google analytics was saying not connected, even realtime viewing showed nothing. And now after reading your reply, I checked and its all working now.
So whatever all this was, I guess it was temporary as you say.
Thanks again!

I was waiting to hear back from you but I have just emailed them the same question.
In the mean time, Blurb also has the option to spit out this code, is this more modifiable:
<div class=’share-on-blog’ style=’margin: 2px;vertical-align: top; font-size: 14px; font-family: arial; color: #000; max-width:300px;padding: 20px;border: 1px solid #f5f5f5; text-align: center; display: block;margin: 5px auto;’>
<p style=’margin: 5px;’><script id=’metamorph-99-start’ type=’text/x-placeholder’></script>Pole Dance<script id=’metamorph-99-end’ type=’text/x-placeholder’></script></p>
<p style=’margin: 5px;’>By <script id=’metamorph-100-start’ type=’text/x-placeholder’></script>Gregory Beylerian<script id=’metamorph-100-end’ type=’text/x-placeholder’></script></p>
</div>Thanks Rikard!!
Oh, that worked great, created a token and API code was accepted. Looking forward to try updating from the back end when the next update is released, thanks!
Hey Rikard,
I just updated to 4.7.3 using FTP, by drag and drop new Enfold theme folder over old one.
Even though I got a warning from WordPress, it all went smoothly as usual.
Just wondering if there is a better way to update now?
Thanks,
GB

Could you tell me where / how I put this code? Sorry for not understanding this level – regarding PHP code.
I don’t know that I use a child theme? I just update my Enfold theme when there are updates by uploading the Enfold folder via FTP using Fetch.
