    Hey Devin,

Thanks for guiding me to the right spot.

I noticed that by deselecting the hard crop option, it resolved my problem and I did not even have to regenerate any thumbnails.

    Hi Ismael,

    Yup I did do that.

I read thru some conversations on the web about others having similar problems and followed suite with page caching and permanently deleting trashed pages and with a few other steps as well, it looks like “home” is sticking for now…

it srrms to be all good for now, thanks..

    Hi Ismael,

Yes, I used the code you posted from the other topic and it worked great, thanks!

At this point, I have Enfold doing everything I need quite well.

The only option I am missing / desiring is to have videos, slide shows and audio playable from the masonry view layout.

It is not critical now but will be more important down the road.

I wonder if Kriesi can consider implementing this into his theme?

Otherwise, there is always the possibility of using a plugin to get these functions as does:

    http://themepunch.com/essential/

I am just wondering how well it would integrate with Enfold and how fast it would call posts into the masonry view?

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Hi Devin,

How can we make feature requests to Kriesi for possible inclusion into a theme update?

    Got it, thanks!

I knew it was in there somewhere :-)

in reply to: Issue with Categories and Tags when using Masonry grid #322803

    That would be great!

And the aspect of Masonry post viewing that I have not found a solution and would love one from Kriesi is the issue of viewing masonry posts on iPhones and iPads when title is set to view on mouse over. Because on these devices the title is automatically activated, thus blocking the image.

view example on mobile devices: http://www.gregorybeylerian.com

If there is no clear solution, would it be possible to get a code snippet that turns off mouse over for mobile devices only. Or puts the title under the image instead of on top of it?

    THANKS!

BTW , when I added the code that creates one row or two rows if using 50% – the title that activates with mouse over is activated automatically on iPhones and iPads. This creates a problem because the text blocks the image.

View on mobile phone to see what I mean:

Since there is not a mouse over on these touch devices, is there a way to keep it turned off on just these devices or is there an other solution?

    THANKS,

    Hi Ismael,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yigit gave me the following code,

So my masonry grid could be viewed with 5 posts across:

Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
    #top .container .av-masonry-entry {
    width: 20%;
    }

Is there a way to view my masonry grid the same way on a mobile device?

Also, is there a way to view my whole site on mobile the way it is viewed on a desktop?

Is the solution turning off mobile responsiveness?, Possible?

    Thoughts?

    THANKS!!

in reply to: Issue with Categories and Tags when using Masonry grid #322098

I just did a test and answered my own question, it seems Yes, I can create a single category from my blog archives and it will paginate, thus I have a work around solution for now to use masonry with Enfold.

But I would love to hear if Kriesi can or has plans to make Masonry sortable with pagination?

I think it is a very valuable component to offering Masonry layout.

Thank you for the excellent response times BTW, it makes for a great theme to work from.

Is there not a way to create a page that calls for one category or tag of post and show all those beyond one page view?

in reply to: Issue with Categories and Tags when using Masonry grid #322077

    Hi Ismael,

I really love Enfold but that sure is one heck of a limitation, not being able to sort / filter thru a blogs entire archives via masonry. It almost does not make sense, especially since it seems to work with the grid view blog posts.

Is this something that can be corrected in an update?

I have to say that one of the most significant reasons for purchasing this theme was the perception that one can sort thru blogs (art archives) via masonry styling.

    Can Kriesi consider manifesting this?

After all the Pinterest inspired movement trend for visual layout based post experiences was for just that purpose, to view all the archives this way.

    Fingers crossed :-)

    Worked great , thanks!!

With this theme, what is the approach to control which image is viewed for post in masonry view when there is more than one image in post?

Do I continue to use the feature image option as I have done with all previous posts?

in reply to: cropped image added to top of posts? #321516

I did a test and found that if I go into my edit post, to featured image and click – Don’t display image on single post, that the duplicate cropped image disappears.

I have around 300 posts, do I have to go into edit mode for each post and click that option to remove the cropped duplicate image or is there an easier solution?

    Thanks + fingers crossed.

in reply to: Masonry grid question.. #321442

    Hi ,

I am back again with a work around.

I tried switching to the “Display Pagination” option for masonry grid and that seems to have resolved the load issue.

Since I intend to load 100’s and thousands of posts with images into my site, perhaps this is a good solution as it shows viewers how many more pages there are to view.

However, if you want to still try to figure out why the problem exists when in the “load more” option, I can switch back for review.

    Best,

in reply to: Masonry grid question.. #321428

Actually, I resolved issue #1 by going back to those posts and redoing the feature image.

But issue #2 is still there and what I also notice is that after loading more 2 or 3 times , the masonry post grid looks like it is stacking a few images on top of themselves, you notice this at the bottom when it stops loading more images.

Its loading about 100 of the 255 posts that are currently in my WordPress site.

    Ideas?

in reply to: Masonry grid question.. #321305

    That worked, Thanks!!

However, I see 2 new issues:

    1. Some of the post images on the grid are not showing, we only see the text which is set to to be viewable only on rollover.

    2. The masonry grid loads image about 3 times and then it stops thus not loading al the posts in the archive of which there are about 255 at this time. And the last row of posts that have loaded are only partially viewable.

FYI – I have just upped the Php.ini memory to 256 in hopes that it would help, it did not.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    GB

Thanks, they showed me how to adjust the memory myself, is there a preferred size to optimize the performance of theme?
