November 14, 2019 at 5:16 pm in reply to: Enfold wpml language switcher changing position on top bar #1156841
Ismael gave a hint on another threat:
… export/import of the theme options is still the easiest way to apply the current settings to other languages. If you have css modifications and intend to use it across the site or for all languages, put the css code in the child theme’s style.css file instead of the Quick CSS field.…I did exactly this. Still 404 error on the English side when switching…
Thanks for any help to solve this,
StefanNovember 14, 2019 at 5:13 pm in reply to: Implementing the same theme setting to all languages using Enfold+WPML #1156840Thanx Ismael,
I did exactly this, exporting theme settings from German (importing into English).
Would you have a hint why I get a 404 error when going to the English site?
best
StefanAwfully sorry for the late response!
THANK YOU VINAY
This was the solution!!!!

very sorry, I was playing around with the Menu Settings and now it does not do this anymore!
In another threat I found that you have to obviously import the theme-settings to all translated languages or else it seems to ruin your layout:
Click hereI’m working hard to get this fixed but would you recommend to open up another topic?
My issue is now that I had translated the page using WPML Translation Management and get a 404 Page out of this. I just did the Start-page yet. The translation is ready but the lang-switch points to 404 ….:-(
Do you see a quick solution for this, or should I open another threat?
Thanks so much for your always good support.
Stefan
PS.: If you’d like to have a look. I hid the translation language (English) in WPML / languages / hide languagesNovember 12, 2019 at 7:15 pm in reply to: Implementing the same theme setting to all languages using Enfold+WPML #1156096Hi All,
I know this Post is a bit older, but the issue seems still there…
Do I really have to make Style modifications on every language page with WPML (Another Page with free Polylang gave me less hassle…) But my customer bought the lifetime Version of WPML :-(
Is it really necessary to import/export theme settings? Should the underlying CSS not be the same for all languages?@ Rikard: How do I “try to change the theme settings so that they are the same for all languages”…? Is this referring to Günnies Post?
Thanks
StefanThanks Mike,
a very obvious and right solution!
For some reason it worked only after I recreated the portfolio grid – didn’t work with the already created one if this helps some future readers..But it works…Problem solved :-)
Thanks a bunch!!!Thanks Rikard,
for your thoughts!

I then used a font uploading plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-fonts/
The Chrome extention: https://www.chengyinliu.com/whatfont.html seems to work fine discovering the right font in the final result. Thanks for your support! Ticket can be closed!

I tried to get it to run that way. As the 1st solution didn’t work for me the second did!

this is just a draft yet.

StefanNo worries, I try to pick another solution. It seems to be to tricky and my customer is waiting for a result.

Hi cg and thanks for the idea but…nope,…no scrollbar jumping…
I know it’s been a while. But its still not solved.
Please check the screen-cast again. Once the menu-items are clicked the menus jump back and forth (left <-> right) …this is a bit annoying.Any ideas anyone?
Ticket solved through Rikard! Thanks a lot as always. Ticket can be closed!

Thanks to you all!Oh…and Oops, after searching for a similar problem I stumbled over this open ticket.
I guess you can close it as I will have to rephrase the issue in a new ticket,
Thanks as ever for your support!!Excellent Rikard! Spot on and thanks again for the right hint.
It needed % as you mentioned and !important, so this works:/*Footer styling */ #top label.footerBox span { width: 100%!important; }
…Ticket can be closed :-)
Hi Rikard,
thanks! This was the right hint! I’m so glad that Kriesi support is there, I will definitely keep buying Enfold for my customers:-)The final code needed !important…:
.plp-ltblue { line-height:20px!important; font-size: 16px !important; font-weight: bold !important; background: lime !important; } .plp-lttrans { line-height:20px!important; font-size: 16px !important; font-weight: bold !important; background: transparent!important; }
…and the other menu items need a similar but separate class to be ‘in line’…
One thing would be a “nice to have” with the Enfold theme: A list (or DB) of all standard classes used as a default.
Ticket solved, can be closed,

StefanMay 9, 2019 at 12:04 pm in reply to: Partner/Logo Element jumping although images have all the same height #1098885Excellent Ismael!
What I do not understand, I cut all images to the same height and hoped WP (Enfold / Avia?) would scale them down to the same height. Now I exchanged all images and fitted them to the desired height from scratch and it works.
Thanks so much for your attention, which helped solving the issue! -ticket can be closed!May 6, 2019 at 7:56 pm in reply to: Partner/Logo Element jumping although images have all the same height #1097801Here you are

Hi Victoria,
seems pretty close and thanks for your thought.
I deactivated all plugins and still this doesn’t change anything.
Thanks for your help, as always!

StefanThanks Victoria,
where does this JavaScript come from? Can I just delete it somewhere? Which file would I have to alter please?
txs again
Stefan…any more ideas, anyone before I have to start the page from scratch :-(
– I need the given content in a plain Enfold layout (without many modifications)
– Q: Would it make sense to newly install WP/Enfold and ‘import’ the content?
txs
