Yes, but the images will blur and not look good.
Only way is to actually have the images been created before the correct size.

Sorry for my delay reply. I did tried to make it also, but seems that the name there is been changed through the JS file.
Can you please add a child theme and the proper code for loading the JS file so we can try that out also?

Please do not use hose type of plugins, as Kriesi updates any scripts him self, when we have tested that everything is working properly.
