Meanwhile I managed to accomplish my goal by replacing the content section with a row element.
This works for me.

However I still have a challenge here. No the rows behave responsive, however they now overlapping each other.
I need to generate some space between those cells, but whatever I do, it is not working.

Thank you for reaching out !
We have deactivated some plugins and it seems like it is not happening anymore.
We suspect the plugin “updraftplus” has caused this very strange issue.
Strange because the blank page appeared at random, crossbrowser and not very frequently.
When it happened it showed a blank page with the message “Here comes the domain http://www.”

Furthermore we detected this error in directadmin’s server log:

We are not sure whether it is solved but to date we can not reproduce it and customers are not reporting this issue anymore.

Solved. the columns had different lay-out settings.
