I managed to do it when modifying the file via a text editor rather than through the WordPress dashboard. This can now be closed, thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply, when I navigate to Appearance>Theme Editor and look at the Theme Files I can’t see Custom-Functions.php file but I
can see Functions-Enfold.php but when I try to insert the code into that and click ‘Update’ it comes up with an error saying “Scrape nonce check failed. Please try again”.

Am I looking at the wrong file?

Nevermind, it seems to work now. I have no idea why, but waiting 50 minutes seemed to have fixed it.

Thanks, that seems to have done the trick. Do you know if there is a way to lose some of the padding below the links as it has made the bar a bit wider than the actual text seems to be?
